Chaonis looked up when Merric picked up the pipe, frowning.
"Either bring that thing over here and put it to use or put it down: I ain't going to keep this up all night. I've got places to be, you know."
Not true, he had no other plans. This hadn't been on the schedule, regardless of there not being one, though. He had just wanted to hassle the civilian, not waste his time saving the guy. Stupid senshi obligations. Sometimes he could just not make them work with his 'no strings, all fun' policy of life.
And he tried quite often.
He had managed to catch the youma and break one of its arms, and the beating it had taken had rendered it rather dazed. So all it would take, he imagined, was a few more really good hits and they would have a nice pile of youma dust.
"You deaf? Give me that thing!"

Merric scrambled over and started whacking the monster upside the head (and kinda sorta making sure to whack Chaonis a few times for good measure).
"Die already!" a** Wings wasn't the only one with things to do tonight. Merric had to get home, and find his damn bike! That was at least an hour of search alone, and who knew what time it was now.
He whacked both of them, costumed boy and monster, a little harder.

"You're not helping!"
Chaonis was not happy with this situation, and he grabbed the weapon from Merric and pulled it so hard from the others grasp with enough force to knock him over. He then stepped on Merric's back, pinning him down at the Youma's feet while he delivered the last blow to the youma's head.
The thing burst into dust.
That was good. One annoyance down. He looked down at the kid on the floor, not moving his cleated foot off his back just yet.
"You're damn lucky I didn't let that thing eat you," he said, though he knew youma were more interested in starseeds and energy than eating random civilians. At length, though, he pulled his foot back and let the guy get up.

The cleats hurt, whether Chaonis was intending it or not. Merric's chin was raw from hitting the floor, and he tasted blood in his mouth. The teen had just about enough of the padded idiot. He was let up and panted, brushing the dirt from his cloths.
"Aren't you supposed to help people, not make their evenings worse?" he grumbled, spitting blood on the ground and wiping his lip with the back of his hand. Jeez, it looked like he'd gotten in a fight or something... well he had, technically. He glared at Chaonis for a moment before straightening and shaking his head.
"Never mind. Now I get why your lot are called terrorists. I'd say thanks are in order, but eh, not for you," he growled before walking back the way he'd came. No longer could Merric stand being in a** Wings' presence, and just wanted to get back to his bike and go home. There was no sense in staying here any longer. He broke out into a run, a sudden fear that the dude was going to come after him, and fled the streets.
No sense in sticking around.
