Im a lesbian but I dont really fit into any category really (lipstic, butch, dyke etc.)... Ive been told im my own breed of lesbian before and im kind of happy about that.
Stereotypes were never meant for describing a person as a whole and thats where they can be misleading.

As a gay man, it's rather tricky to break the stereotype, given that we have both extremes of the spectrum, from the queeny little vapids that float down the street on designer boots to the 7ft monstrous creatures that crash through the dark alleys of Oxford St, the moonlight shinning off their bald heads, but not even hoping to penetrate their thick, mottled fur. We even have the mid-ground, as successful yuppies!
A few things do expand into all of these stereotypes, however. Primarily, music: ALL gay stereotypes seem to idolize that irritating habit of taking a 4 second soundbite from iTunes, looping it Ad Nauseum, giving it a silly genre and calling it music.
I do not subscribe to this stereotype, I'm yet to find a single electronic outfit that I really enjoy listening too. (Actually, that's a lie, there is one that I quite like, but only one). I'm a metal-head at heart -not to say that I have a closed-mind about music, my 3 favourite genres are Death Metal, Free Jazz and 20th Century Classical- but I need INTEREST in my music, I can't stand music that repeats itself over and over and over and over and...
Apart from that, there is little escaping this all-encompassing paradigm of the 'gay stereotype', so I simply take bits and pieces from both extremes and fit them together nicely.
I'm well built, don't subscribe to fashion, I don't care about celebrity news, I'm impolite, I drink mainly liquor (ie: not alcopop rubbish), my personal hygiene is questionable at best, and i have a mohawk. Conversely, I cross-dress, consider myself feminine in mentality, play a submissive role in all my relationships, dislike body-hair, know my wines, write, and am often found wearing a rainbow scarf and little else.
A nice mosaic of the gay spectrum, I think.

Metal ftw indeed. What kinda metal are you into? Come now, there are gems amongst the s**t when it comes to pop music. Take Leonard Cohen and Jeff Buckley for example. Not the most thrilling music, but not half bad for pop.

Agh, stupid "edit" button right next to the quote button. I hope your post is intact again. Eh.. I am a lesbian and not overweight? definatley not. O_o (Actually trying to gain a bit of weight, my arms look anorexic D cool I dress uhh casual/normal i guess? well not really normal, most girls in this area dress slutty gonk I normally just wear a graphic shirt with jeans/skinny jeans (but not skin tight) and a pair of vans. =w= And yeah, i prefer more cuddly cuddly and kissy kissy :3 I wouldn't want to have sexual intercourse with someone I don't know either. (My partner is the one and only one i would want to be doing that with) But i also like girly things like stuffed animals (Favorite color is pink) ... and i like cute pink frilly things, although i would never wear stuff like that xD I also like playing video games * w* I don't really care for my nails either XD i just trim them, that's about it. But yeah o_O (Sorry if everything doesn't go together in this wall of text, i tend to jump to other subjects that is completely irrelevant to what i am talking about)

I am a (mostly) straight female, but:
-I hate shopping -I'm not very social, most of my friends are male -I dress down. Waaaay down. -I take charge in my relationships, when it comes to planning/executing/paying for dates -I am romantically attracted to women
However:
-I love dying/styling my hair. -I love makeup
Stereotypes will be stereotypes...we just need to try and be ourselves.

I'm also my own breed of lesbian. I'm tall, rail thin, look like a guy, act like a guy, love games with a burning passion, but I ******** love sewing and wearing girly things. I pretty much flip back and forth between passing as a guy and a girl. My love is a Trans man and he tells me I'm gender queer. Alrighty then.

I dunno really Im bi but I slightly lean towards guys.
But a couple things Ive noticed that seems to seperate me from a few other bi and gay people is that. I cant stand the music from Glee or High School Musical I just mostly listen too quite a bit of Metal and trance and Techno from the Late 90's Early 00's, Watch motorsport, Hate reality shows with a passion, Love video games
My overall style seems to be a little different. Ive grown my hair longer. wear skating/punkish type clothing

Well I'm a pan-sexual and I don't really fit into any category (then again we're not really known to fit into any category) Sometimes I dress punk, girly, jocky, or dress like I'm going to the barn mostly cause i go to one. I do have some friends that fit the stereotypes like flamboyant gay, dyke and nerdy/geek. But we all stereotype our selves as humans on our campaign to stop bullying and stereotyping people before ya get to know them > biggrin DDD

I'm Bisexual NOT Barsexual and no I do not think that everyone is hot. If I was a homosexual I would be a lipstick lezzy that crossdresses. I’m a Christian that believes in gay rights. I'm also GOTHIC and yet not mean? No I don’t believe in most the sterotypes. You are your own person and how you act has nothing to do with your orientation.
