"They said very little..."He said to assure her. "I am more, good at piecing fragments together that's all." it might have been a lie for all that, but it was meant to soothe.
"Whatever you did, they have done worse, perhaps not all of them, enough of them out there trying to keep their hands clean for the public, but at their core..." He offered a light touch to her arm, cautious as such things sometimes resulted in uncomfortable moments like...hugging in public.

Yes. Not her more shining moment. A captain and a super hadn't gotten him, but apparently she could have. Superb logic, when she looked in retrospect.
"I figured, he came out when the page was in trouble, so I... Well, more like the senshi came to me." She wasn't shaking him off, and thankfully hadn't attached to him like a leech yet.
Had she been a lieutenant, she most likely would have. But something... indescribable had changed in her, in between her and now.
"He was new... Stupidly new... Powered up right in front of me. H-He never had any chance..." Looking back, the unfairness of it was striking her now.
"I toyed with him a bit... He eventually got away, I caught him, I got angry and I just..." Ripped it. In and out. So quickly that she'd barely had time to register what she had been doing.
"...I know it's silly, and I shouldn't feel bad... But somehow I do."

"There isn't as much...clarity of purpose as a captain." He said in earnest tones. "You'll...understand better when you become General, things become more clear...you will -always- have questions but the difference between the ranks is... it is unspeakable, like living half blind and never realizing it... just because he was new doesn't make him less dangerous."
He shook his head and then continued. "...stopping him before he became... something dangerous, stopping him before he sunk so far in he was beyond hope. If there are -souls- you saved his from being steeped in their taint."

The poor General obviously was looking like a fish right out of it's bowl right now. Clearly not the best choice ever to talk about... feelings, but she would have hated to upset her own general with such a story.
So she forced a smile, small as it was. She'd get over this. She had to. She'd... seen much worse, and had survived that.
What the blue-haired general spoke of, however, was interesting. "There is... ?" Painite hadn't told her much about that. She hadn't felt much of a difference in between lieutenant and captain, beside... Well, the obvious.
But maybe she just hadn't noticed... ? Confusing.

"I felt it..." He nodded. "Perhaps I was looking, it hurts more...but the pain brings -clarity-, like cutting away the coarse of a diamond to make it shine."
A pause. "I've never been good at this."

"It's okay." She wasn't upset. Well... not at him.
Everyone had their strengths and weaknesses. "If we were all the same, we'd fall on our faces quicker than you could say 'we're ******** was about teamwork. Everyone brought something to the table.
It was a matter of finding... what she was supposed to bring to the table.
"Come on." She said, looking at the distance. "I'll go buy you some tea. Kay ?"
