With soundless step and gentle smile did Silence wander the Pantheon; at his side, following a step behind was a demoness dressed in silks. She carried within her arms some sort of wrap; richly embroidered and obviously not her own. Endiovar stopped at the harker's display, curious but quietly watching as a boy was given a darkling creature.

'I believe we shall try, would you not like a new companion, Alaska?' Without words but surely heard, even so - Alaska would bring forth the required gold so that her master might take up one of the numbers.

For Syrie

Rune watched as the next pair approached. He felt there was something different about the male, but what it was he couldn't put his finger on it. He watched them carefully before the female approached the stall. The merchant quickly took the money from her and watched as her hand delved into the bag of numbers.

"A five for you me lady!" He cried, before running back to his trailer once more. If anyone in the crowd had been watching from the start of his sales, they would certainly start to wonder how so many animals managed to fit in such a small space.

Moments later he returned with an animal very similar in stature to the very first prize. It was another Guardian, though this one seemed much more boistrous than the female that had been sold earlier.

"You've got the other Guardian! This boy here is certainly a handful, but very loving at the same time." He nodded as he ushered the creature to its new family.

At Syrie

Rune watched as the man silenced the rowdy creature. Interesting he thought as he looked on. I might have to learn that trick myself.

The merchant was excited to see the man now wanted a turn. His greedy eyes growing wide at the thought of the ever growing money bag tied to his waist. "Number thirteen!" He cried before disappearing again.

He emerged soon after, carry another egg, though it looked very different from the previous two, and also appeared to be quite heavy, judging by the way the man labored to carry it over. It had spikes all over it, though they were rounded on the top so it was not too difficult to carry, and was about the size of a large melon.

"This here be a very valuable egg sir. Inside it be a Riding Dragon, on of the most fearsome steeds one may have." He didn't mention that they could be quite temperamental.

It seemed one of the eggs at least was quite eager to reveal what his beneath it. It was the first one that was sold, given to the purple woman. She might notice that there were sounds coming from inside, though certainly not chirping and pecking like one would expect from a bird. Rather, the sound was a scratching one. Peculiar.

Soon enough the shell would give way, revealing what was inside.

A baby Harpy.

Definitely not something one would consider a pet.

Cute things? A game-like element? Adi couldn't possibly resist, and had had to run off to find Rio to get the money from him. He did give her some, of course, he was easy to persuade. It didn't take much more than 'Pleeease?' and puppy eyes. The werewolf then dashed back to the stall to try her luck.

Where there were pets, often there was Elana. Her auburn hair had grown out and been trimmed, so that only the faintest bit of pink and blue remained at the tips of her chin-length hair. Seeing people walking away with baby animals and... creatures in their arms, she had to invetigate. Yes, there was a man, handing a flaming egg to someone. Her eyes grew round. A phoenix?! Oh, she had to see if she could manage to play this game!

She dug around in her jean pockets, pulling out bits of money Tempest had let her have, or that she'd been given in exchange for something else. She counted it carefully, not being adept with numbers. Yes, she had enough, with some left over in fact! Delighted, she surged forward, money offered eagerly. Taking her turn, she stuck her hand into the bag that apparently had numbered tokens in it. Concentrating hard, hoping for good luck, she chose one with her fingertips and drew it out.

For Tal

Rune watched as two more stepped forward, first an older woman, drawing out the number 2. He took her gold then ran off to grab her prize from inside his trailer.

Moments later he returned carrying another sleeping ball of fur, similar to the blue one he had sold earlier, but much more natural in color. Another Dheln.

"Here ya go." He said as he handed it over.


For Eft

Rune watched the little girl come forward and put her money on the table. Sure she was just a small girl, but that didn't bother Rune. Any paying customer was well worth it.

He watched as she pulled the number 9 from the bag, and went to retrieve her prize. It was another Dheln, sleeping just like the one before.

"Here ya go little miss." He passed the snoozing bundle of fluff to the youngster.


Rune went to check his bag to see how many numbers he had left. Only 4 numbers remained in the bag that had once been full. He hoped others would soon come forward to claim them so he would be on his way.
