BakaTulip Grrr... Gerry was good. And I'm not saying that because he's "hot". I liked his style. He was also very expressive. P.S. - I just realized Joel was on Logo because he IS gay. P.S.S.- So's Howard McGillan who is my favorite phantom... no wonder he screams like a girl Best role I've seen Gerry in. Then he did that Frankie movie and that was good. Cool. Joel looked it though. There was just something about him that said it.

Grr. Gerik was bad. At least as Erik. It pissed me off because he just didn't embody the character of Erik, plus he had a really minor deformity. That annoyed me.
Oh, it's really ironc. Today I was talking about how gay guys seem to make the best stuff (one of my favorite book series is by a gay guy, as are a couple of my favorite TV shows) but I take that back now.
Well, actually I'll just change it. Most gay guys make the best stuff. Schumacher is an exception. At least where PotO is concerned.

Well ALW's Erik is supposed to be all...sexual and crap.... since when ALW wrote it he clearly made Erik himself... that's one of the reasons the musical pisses me off. I mean it was destroyed from the song The Mirror... that killed it... you know the line "Flattering child you shall know me" those 6 words killed Erik as that pitiable character who only wants love... that line turned him into "I wanna sleep with Christine" (To know=euphemism for have sex with)
That's why I think Gerry was good in the role... it's not an Leroux Erik, but he's a damn good ALW Erik... and Joel was an AWESOME director, I mean honestly... ALWs musical is a kinda sucky piece to work with as far as plot goes. The actual direction of the scenes and the way it was put together was great for working with... that... plot form the black lagoon

I would too, but I'm just pointing out people should count their blessings and not complain so much. Also it's a refreshing change to have two different soundtracks with two different feels.
I'd MUCH rather listen to Gerry sing Point of No Return than Michael Crawford because he does have that seductive feel. But I like MC's MotN much better.

Gerry has the seduction in his voice whereas Crawford has the serenity and beauty. There are certain songs one can pull off more successfully than the other.
And you can't seduce in rap. Sorry, still a bit hung over on the prospect. XD

Shumacher wasn't BAD-it's just that some of his shots were kind of boring, didn't really capture the feel of the moment. Especially during the MotN sequence
