Fusion tilted his head and felt sad for a her minute, he understood all too well.... "My brothers are like that." He said, his eyes narrowing slightly as he looked at the ground. They were both really nice but he supposed boys being boys they were rather rough with him at times.
He only had a moment to contemplate that though as he offer to play hide and seek came into view, he perked up instantly, "Oh that sounds fun. I'll be it." It said, letting her 'hide' first because she was a girl. "One..." He started as he lowered himself to thr ground and covered his eyes with a cross over of his hooves. "Two....."

Vel squeaked and bolted as he started to count, looking for a good place hide, she didn't know this area well though. She dove in a bush to hide, and spotted a better place, wiggling and crawling under a fallen tree, it had been knawed at and rotted a bit so there was a small cave in it. It was barely big enough, but that was ok, the bush pressed against the tree where her head peeked out. Only able to see what was right in front of her, her head on the ground in the small gap under the bush, the rest of her hidden by the tree. It would take time to get out when she was found. For now though she concentrated on being quiet and breathing slowly.

Fusion finished counting and stood tall once more, or at least as tall as the small foal could manage. His eyes scanned the area as best as he could and he found himself turning in circles, not once or twice but three times in an effort to disover her location.... it seemed hopeless though, he couldn't see anything, not even the soft rustle of leaves that usually gave his brothers away when they all played together.
He sighed, picking a random direction as he called out; "Ready or not here I come!" He had the impression that her hiding place was an impressive one, and as a result it was probably going to take him a while to discover it.
He looked under bushes, around trees and even tried to sneak up on something that seemed to move in the corner of his eyes to discover it was his own shadow. A bright red blush covered his purple cheeks and he was happy she hadn't seen that move... or at least he hoped she hadn't.

Squeezing her lips together she tried not to giggle, all she could see was what was right in front of her from under the bush, but that wasn't much. She could just about hear something but it was mostly drowned out by the rustling of the leaves by her ears. She hadn't herd or seen anything since he called out he was coming, that could only mean one of two things... he had gone the wrong way.... or... he was coming round from behind. Her head coming round making the bush rustle more freezing as it does and burying her head again, pressing her cheek to the leg nearest it. She had scratched herself as a twig snapped and pinged back into place, she was lucky it missed her eye but she doubted that he would miss the snap telling him he had gone the wrong way. Her cut cheek hurting but rubbing it just made the bush shake a little. Peering back out at what was in front of her.

Fusion was about to start looking under a bush that looked as if someone small could fit under it when his ears twitched, instinct took over as he turned with great intent to locate the source. It didn't take him long for him to hear what was definatly the soft rustle of leaves and the possible snapping of something... a twig perhaps? It took a while longer however to actually locate the source, and all that he saw was the soft swaying of leaves.
He watched for a moment, unsure if he had actually got the right spot... after all the soft blowing could have been done by the wind, but Fusion quickly dismissed this thought as something occured to him... not all of the leaves in the area had moved, meaning it was likely something had moved him. Pleased with himself he bonced forward, excitment tangible in his very cells. "Here I come...." he repeated, this time in no more than a breath of a whisper as he lowered himself to the ground and tiptoed as best as he could towards his target. Despite his greatest efforts to be as silent as possible he knew deep down he likely sounded like a herd of elephants or some such noisy animal... his mother had always said, if you want to sneak up on someone, walk normally.
Fusion kept his eyes dead ahead on his target of leaves, noting for the first time that they seemed to surround what appeared to be a rotting root or something... a great gnarled tree that had finally succumb to the elements.
He pounced before them, eyes looking low on the ground in search for his target.... and sure enough soon he was sure he could see a pair of eyes in the darkness. "Found you!" He chirped.

Velvet looked up at him, he had found her. Giving a little humph as she starts to wiggle and crawl out from the tight spot she had gotten herself into. Standing finally and rubbing her sore cheek on her front leg again, leaving behind a red smudge, she was bleeding but not badly, mostly the scratch itched. Looking at him, kicking herself, pretty sure he'd not have found her had she not gotten paranoid and checked to look behind her. But she had been found, so after a few moments of stung pride she smiles at him. "Guess that means its up to you what you wanna do now..." Not sure if he wanted to continue this game or move to another.... Maybe he wanted to hide this time, well as the winner it was his choice now. Shuffling her little hooves as she waited, trying not to rub her cheek against her leg again, though it still itched a little, but the bleeding was lessening that, whatever was left in it must be coming out now. Looking at the other foal expectantly, ready for more fun.

Fusion beamed widely at her, very proud he had found her.... that was until he saw the blood. "You're bleeding." He said -stating the obvious-, worry crinkling his face as he looked at the oozing wound with concern. "Does it hurt?" He found himself saying as he watched the droplets of blood slowly start to stop. Part of Fusion couldn't help but blame himself....
With a sigh it was clear that Velvet was ignoring the wound and so he decided it was only right that he did the same... after all, if she wasn't worried then it was probably nothing to worry about. His mind started to shift towards a game to play. Part of Fusion didn't want to hide, he had never been very good at it since his bright colours stood out so vividly against the enviroment.... but.... "Treasure hunting." He finally said. He knew that natural uncut gems and treasures lingered everywhere, you just needed to know where to look. "The challenge is to see who can find the best treasure in the forest. We can either stick close and walk on the same path...." of course, what he didn't say was in that situation you also had to try and throw your opponant off guard with distractions while you continued to look for treasure. "...or go different ways and meet back here." He grinned at her. Happy to have someone other than his two brothers to play with.
