He added it into his phone, wondering if he should show her how to work a computer or something sometime. That way maybe he could get her to email him recipes or something! Or even just notes that she was making spookies for... her... dorm.
Oh, now his face was falling. Lucky bastards. He didn't know of any cooking reaper! "So do you bake for your dorm a lot?" he asked, now that he had her number. "I bet they love you!"

"...no," Taryn admitted. A part of her wanted to sound grandly halloweenatarian, as if she constantly basked for her dorm and left the products in the lobby for no recognition.
It wasn't true, though.
"This is the first time. I might start." It could, after all, net her some friends. ...or enemies. She could do with some more of the former. Now that the attention had turned away from her baked goods, though, and turned to her, the ghoul was turning back to her socially awkward mannerisms of every other day. Taryb clasped her hands in front of her and found it harder and harder to maintain eye contact, and even her voice was losing some of its power. Jack damn it!

That--that little shy thing caught him a bit off guard. He'd been chatting with her real easily up till now, right? So what had changed? He frowned ever so slightly, thinking about what they'd just gone over. "Oh, hey, if they don't appreciate it you can always bring them to the Reaper dorm! You'll have a fanclub in no time! We like spookies there!"
Then again, who didn't like spookies? He was just inviting her over because he wanted the spookies himself!

"Okay," Taryn peeped, nodding and brushing a lock of hair behind a pointed ear. All of a sudden things seemed so awkward and she couldn't force herself to look Roch in the face. She let the conversation turn to awkward silence for quite some time before she spoke again.
"...well, I'll see you later?"

"Yeah," Roch said. "Definitely. Hell, call me the next time you're baking and I'll come over and help!" he offered. "That'd be fun, and maybe this time I can actually learn how to do it without it smelling funny and being burnt by the time it's done," he told her, grinning and shoving his hands into his pockets.
"And Taryn... y'know..." he said slowly, tilting his head slightly as he looked at her. "You're welcome to call me if you wanna hang out, alright?" She seemed... lonely or something, he figured. "Hey, we could go to the maul and check out their bakeries sometime!"

Taryn finally was able to look to Roch, although shyly, and offered him a little smile. She wasn't sure she wanted the boil in her room, but it was a kind gesture nonetheless. It seemed that most of her new friends liked the maul as well... maybe she'd be spending more time there? Again, Roch was a bit intimidating but seemed kind enough. He would be a nice distraction as long as he was kept occupied with spookies, she thought.
"Okay," she repeated, biting her lip nervously a moment. This was a ghoul definitely not used to boils being nice to her. "Same here."

"Cool! And thanks for the spookie!" he added, turning and walking away with a slight wave over his shoulder. Baking buddy? Awesome. Like, even if she didn't want him to bake with her or anything was fine. As long as SHE baked he was good!
... He wanted another spookie. With that thought in mind he raced off to the cafeteria to get some more. Now wasn't the time to be hitting her up for a dozen, after all!
