"Oh, I never shut up either," he laughed. It was true, he did love to hear himself talk. Stalking a prey wasn't exactly his forte, he wasn't very good at plans involving not calling attention to himself - but he knew the time and place to be quiet when those situations arose. He nearly missed dodging the captain's move entirely, but tried to block the blow at the last millisecond and the blow hit his wrist instead. He shook his wrist loosely to get null the sore. "Nice shot. You know, Morpheus and Neo made this whole sparring thing look so much more exciting in The Matrix."
Once again, at this last words he swooped down slightly and swung out a leg, doing his best attempt at a leg-swipe to knock the captain down. However, this move was unpracticed, and likely not as suave, sophisticated or as effective as he would have hoped.

"I noticed." She was amusement in her tone as she spoke those words. Her previous irritation hadn't lasted, and now she seemed to be enjoying herself, even.
"The fun stuff comes with time." She did a back-flip to avoid the leg. Necessarily ? Not really.
"You want to aim a little lower, if you want to knock someone clean off their feet. Too high and their knees buckle, and it doesn't always work out too well, and if you miss... You're close enough for them to hit you."
Using her blades mostly as daggers did meant that she was more close range than her weapons had been intended for. There was a smile then, knowing, perhaps almost sweet.
He wanted the Matrix ? She could give him that. One of her favorite moves had, in fact, been pulled from the movie.
"Funny you mention the Matrix, actually. I don't know about sentient machines and im not gonna give you a choice of pills to take, but there's a good point."
She took a few steps back. "Some rules can, in fact, be broken a little."
Then she ran. She ran, gathering as much speed as she could, right at the wall. Instead of running face first into it, she jamp and continued running... upward.
This would be familiar, most likely.
She made it all the way up the upper roof - no small feat, really - before she launched herself off, summoning her knives, and stabbing then down on the concrete as she landed.
They ended up stuck. There was a reason she hadn't aimed at him - that would hurt.
"I don't recommend trying that as a lieutenant, through." One of the knives took a few thugs to break free. "But you get the idea. The senshi have magic, but on average, we're stronger than them. What's your weapon ?" So far, his fighting style was about distraction and hand-to-hand - did he have a weapon to match ?

"My weapon?" Osumilite rose a brow. Oh, right! That thing. As he was yet to have encountered Senshi or be in any actual real battle under this form, he hadn't yet figured out the use of his weapon. He focused for a brief moment and summoned his weapon from the Negaverse subspace - a nonfunctional microphone. "I've got this handy little microphone that pops out of thin area, just like magic." The whole concept of Negaverse's abilities still hadn't fully settled into his brain yet. "It doesn't work, but with enough force I'm sure it could leave quite the bruise."

"That's not bad at all." Fluorite was completely and utterly serious, appreciative even. Sure, she had knives now - lovely knives at that - but as a lieutenant ?
Pretty much everyone had agreed that she probably had ended up with the most useless weapon in the known history of the negaverse. It wasn't completely a bad thing - it had given her enough hand-to-hand skill to be able to hold her own should she somehow end up weaponless.
"Bet you can whack someone pretty hard, yeah." Use the cable and send it crashing down like... some kind of flail or something. "Wanna try working with it ?" Her own knives vanished, back into subspace.

"Let me get this straight," he began with uncertainty. "You want me to try and club you with this microphone, right? And you're not going to turn around and stab me in the gut or anything, are you?"
He twirled the microphone around between his fingers, not prepared to club a teenage superior with such a weapon. Sure, he could try to hit her gently, but even gently he had a feeling that with his strength and the microphone's blunt force that it could be quite a blow.

"I assure you that a senshi's probably done worse to me." Really. She wanted to say that he would actually need to hit her first, but that was just asking for trouble. Karma had a way to remind one that they were too arrogant.
"Through, maybe hit the wall instead ? I want to see how you move, mostly." And then show him how to do the most damage with it if he needed.
After that, well, she'd probably set him free. He'd done much better than she first expected, even though his age seemed both a good and a bad thing. She just hoped he wouldn't let a senshi clobber him just because they were young.

"I suppose I can give that a shot," Osumilite shrugged. As a television news reporter, he was used to 'performing' in its own rite - entertaining an audience. Entertaining in the center of attention was something that he rather liked doing - whether it was busting a move on the center of the dance floor or performing a late night bedroom striptease, he was comfortable performing. However he never quite had to display his fighting skills against an inanimate object before.
Well, there was a first time for everything. He approached the wall by the rooftop exit and stared at the corner of it, then looked back at Fluorite with uncertainty. He shrugged once more and swung the microphone with full force into the corner of the wall.
The wall chipped with a loud crack and a thud, but as any high school student in a physics class will tell you - for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. The force reverberated through Osumilite's arm dealing quite a bit of damage to his shoulder. He winced as he backed away, his arm tingling from the shockwaves of the force. Perhaps using full force on a solid object wasn't the best idea.
"Sweet baby god, mother ******** lord of hell," he muttered as he shook his shoulder about to loosen it up and ease the pain. "I think I'd rather have hit you." He winked playfully.
"Other than my pussybitch reaction, how was that?"

Well holy damn. She hadn't expected pieces of wall to start flying. Not with a lieutenant, anyway, and she couldn't help but let out a low whistle.
God damn, with the rank ups this one was going to end up hitting like a truck. It wasn't such a bad thing - she didn't know about too many true heavy-hitters at all.
They needed all kinds, really.
"That wasn't bad at all, really. Through... You're gonna be fine ?" She walked the few steps that separated them to inspect his arm. Yeah, hitting a brick wall with your full strength was probably a bad idea. Unless your name was Tanzanite. Then the brick wall probably got most of the damage.

"I'll probably need to put an ice pack on it when I get home," he nodded. s**t - home. Whenever he went into this Negaverse disguise he repeatedly lost track track of time - and that night he had a sitter waiting in his home. As much fun as he had in that form, he did want to say good night to his son before he went to sleep. "Which reminds me that I really should get going before it gets too late. I have matters to take care of on the domestic front."

"That's fine. I don't want you to worsen your shouder, anyway." The last bit was spoken a little bit differently, almost... motherly ? But no, that was just silly. He was perhaps only a few years shy of being able to have been her father.
Still, there are been caring and worry in her tone. Some part of her couldn't help it.
"You take good care of that." She'd run into him again, no doubt - but for now she vanished into thin air, off to whoever knew where.
Damn, teleporting was nice.
