Considering that Niflhel wasn't sure how he felt about sappy romance films and trying to be all suave and what have you he figured Disney wouldn't make him double think his idea.
"Awesome. I think Aladdin was one of my favorites." He said as he got up and headed towards the theater's camera. Of course when he got there he stood staring at the contraption. "Oh bull." He muttered as he started accessing the equipment, totally not user friendly.
It wasn't like his grandparent's, or any that he'd seen. It was a few times larger and well, he had to figure out which way was which so he didn't end up ruining the film. "This is when it'd pay off to work in a movie theater." He mused as he turned on the camera with whatever they had on there last to see if he could tell which way it was traveling.

Aladdin. She thought she vaguely remembered that one. Regardless it was pretty bound to be alright.
Of course then Niflhel seemed.. a little less sure of what he was doing. Drawing near, she reached her fingers out lightly to touch his arm, her heart fluttering with adreneline. They were going to get caught if they weren't careful! What if the sound or light attracted someone?
"This might not be such a good idea after all" Polaris whispered to him softly, looking halfways between being terrified over getting caught and giddy over the rush of danger and thrill.

Niflhel had just figured out how the reel went in when Polaris touched his arm, he jumped. Obviously having been startled from his thinking, "Whu-- oh huh... It's a fine idea." He said as he set up the film.
"Absolutely nothing can go wrong." He smiled as he flipped on the switch and the movie started, "We should grab our seats, do you want any candy or anything? I wouldn't want to start the popcorn machine we'd never eat all that."
Lucky them the film reel had commercials on it just like every movie does.

She didn't exactly believe him. Plenty could go wrong!! They could get caught and get in trouble. Or they could get the senshi in trouble and labeled even more as trouble makers. The could accidentally break some equipment!
But there seemed to be no swaying the knight, so in the end she shrugged a little, shaking her head. "I'm not hungry, thank you. But I'll find us some nice seats."
She looked at the little window that the picture was shot from before deciding it was too small for her to get to. Oh well.. it wouldn't be hard to figure out which theatre it was, it would be the only one playing anything.
Chosing the center seats near the top, Polaris settled in softly and waited, listening to the ancient commercials. It was a little strange to be sitting in uniform.. and she had to shift a little to get comfortable despite all her hair and buttwings, gently soothing the many ruffles of her skirt.

It didn't take long for Niflhel to return he had two sodas and a few snacks. "Don't worry I left money for all of it with a note." He smiled as he sat down beside her of course uniforms weren't made for sitting and watching movies but oh well.
He offered her a soda, it was bottled and had a screw on lid. "Also I scooped the place out I didn't find any security or anything so we're pretty well safe." He smiled as he turned to watch the old commercials with her, he didn't have to remember to dim the lights because they were already off.
"I wish you'd trust me more." He said as he opened a pack of chocolate mints. He'd save the sour patch kids and other sweets for later. He grinned at memories of old movies that had came out with this film. "Sometimes I miss those days. Not having to care about anything but what you were having for breakfast or what cartoon was coming on before school."

He returned with arms full, and she couldn't help but frown a little, until he mentioned the fact that he had indeed paid for it. Of course he had. he's always been a gentlemen before. So it really.. wasn't hurting anyone that they had the stuff.
Accepting one of the sodas, she slowly worked on opening it, pausing when the sudden statement sounded.. awfully prolific and deep for as lightly as he mentioned it and moved on. She was lucky they were in the dark because a guilty look crossed her face as she felt a pain in her chest. She really wished she trusted him more too.. especially since he'd never done anything to break her trust or warrent it. She had just always been a bit of a worrier... And had certain insecurity of her own.
Luckily he had quickly pushed past the topic, and she smiled a little fondly at the nostalgia. "It was nice when the world was more simple.."
Her hand reached out, touching his leg near his knee after a moment as she settled into her seat a little more, a whistful thought escaping her. "It'll be that way again one day. We just need to hold on a little longer."

Niflhel smiled when she accepted the soda. He seemed to drift off into thought as the movie started, "Mmm... we're 'heroes' there'll always be something we have to do though. We might defeat the negaverse but who's to say more won't come?"
He frowned, that was one of his biggest worries. He placed a hand on hers after having opened his soda and sipped on it slowly. Thinking all the while about what she'd said, he'd just have to wait for the opportune moment... that was all.

Her hand shifted a little under his as it was placed over it. Not trying to escape, simply getting comfortable with the weight and feeling of it. Warm.. comforting.
She'd begun to watch the movie as it started, her eyes leaving the screen only after he'd spoken, watching him for a moment. It was a pessimistic but unfortunately very valid worry. And the thought that.. it might never be over.. that she would forever be caught in a war.. it was a tough one to swallow.
If it went on forever would they always stay in limbo? Serious enough to be a couple but never anything.. more?
All the ideas were unsettling, and for the moment she decided to do without them, turning her focus back to the screen. "We just have to hope that's not the case I guess. One day the good will outweigh the bad."
Her attention was on the screen once more, trying to forget all the worries and stresses that resided on the back of her mind. Eventually her posture seemed to relax, her tapping almost silently to the music.

Through the movie as Niflhel watched, he felt sort of awkward. While it seemed Polaris had settled in complacently he was left to think about what she had asked and why he'd insisted they should break into the theater in the first place.
He hummed to a few of the songs as the time passed until one came up....

Shining, shimmering, splendid
Tell me, princess, now when did
You last let your heart decide?
He took a breath, "Aurora..." He said softly looking at her. Unsure if he really wanted to do what he was about to do. He slipped his hand from hers slowly and brushed a few strands of her hair back. He'd seen it in the shows he'd watched and the movies... this was the way it was done right?

Oblivious to his reasoning behind coming to the movies, other than perhaps to get her mind off the conversation from earlier, she was oblivious to the fact that he wasn't enjoying the movie, and instead was fretting and worrying.
So when one of the very most romantic parts of the movie was going on, and she had become lost girlish romantic bliss, and he suddenly was drawing her attention away.. she seemed for a moment almost disappointed.
It wasn't a long lived emotion however as his fingers gently brushed at her hair. And her own hand, now alone closed softly.
"Yes Azzo...?" Her voice was a soft hush. She didn't know what he wanted.. or what he had planned. But maybe her body language was reading his own, because she leaned closer as she waited for his answer.
Or maybe it was just the musical background behind them.

He was looking at her as she answered, or well asked... either way he could feel the butterflies and the want to sort of chicken out. But he came this far, he couldn't back out, especially after that short lived look of disappointment.
He swallowed softly before leaning in without another word and kissed her. A pale blush was creeping along his cheeks, he was slightly glad the theater was dark. Hoping she wouldn't notice the blush since there was a lack of actual light around them. He sat there biting the inside of his lower lip hoping she wouldn't hate him for that....

The music in the background, the dim lights... his soft touch and the rush of emotions that had already accompanied the movie... She had been incredibly surprised when he leaned in and his lips brushed her, brief and sweet. If there was a blush on her cheeks the sparkle in her eyes outshone it.
It was their first kiss. And whether it was clumsy or short it was there and it was perfect to her. The ridiculous romantic.
So perfect in fact, that while he fretted and bit as his bottom lip, Polaris leaned over and returned the favor, a hand cradling his cheek as her lips brushed against his.
It was a chaste kiss, none of that crazy tongue involved stuff, but it lingered far longer than his, until he would go to push her away or she ran out of breath.
Let me share this whole new world with you

He didn't push her away, this was what she'd wanted right? When she finally pulled away he gave a slight grin. It was an unsure one, but pleased with himself... he hadn't gotten smacked by her.
A whole new world, That's where we'll be, A thrilling chase...
He didn't want there to be an awkward pause though his eyes flickered back to the movie, "How's the carpet ride?" He asked softly, hoping that this made up for breaking in.

He didn't push her or pull back, and as the song came to an end she pulled back, settling into her seat again, this time coming to rest so that her head rested against his arm. Her heart was beating like hummingbird wings and when he spoke she couldn't help but laugh just a little.
Her words were whistful as she responded. "Unlike anything I've ever seen or done before."
Her attention was only halfway on the movie from that point on, but it hardly mattered. She, or perhaps they, had had a small victory that night. And Aurora was more contented and at peace then she'd been in months.
