Kisi stared at the older newcomer before blushing lightly, then looked away. "Um... he just suddenly attacked me out of nowhere. I was going to pounce him, because I just wanted to play, but then he... he looked very serious and snarled at me, then attacked me. I barely got out of the way."
Kisi blinked. The newcomer was cute, that was for sure. Shaking her head, she backed a step, pretending to look ignorant of how nice the older lion looked... even though he looked to be missing an eye.

Jinamizi ran twords the other four lions, jumping over the older white colored one, not being able to stop from her rampage. As she landed, she tripped, and tumbled into the tall grass. "Ah...ouch.." Rustling could be heard through the grass, as a small black head popped out. "Wow.." She smiled. "That was a rush." She giggled lightly, and ran back out, stoping slightly to shake the stray grass off of her black fur.

Tafari's eyes grew wide, realizing just how much attention he was getting from the cubs. Maybe he should have just kept an eye on them from a distance... He glanced nervously over his shoulder as the younger black male hurried to hide behind him. This was a bit awkward...
"M-my eyes?" he asked, a bit startled at the question, "Uh, I was born like this..." he mumbled, not really knowing what to tell them. His mother had different colored eyes too... Was it really that uncommon?
His ears then perked up at what the other female was saying. He raised an eyebrow, glancing over at the younger male once again. "Maybe it was just a misunderstanding," he said softly, not wanting to take sides, "I'm sure if you-" he suddenly stopped as another cub appeared on the scene. What was this?! What in the world... Why were there so many of them so quickly?! A light blush appeared over the bridge of his nose. This was starting to make him a little weary...

Kisi cocked her head at the black female that had jumped and appeared out of nowhere. "Who are you?" she asked, then looked at the others. "Come to think of it, who are all of you? I'm Kisikusiku. You can call me Kisi, though! My name's really long." Grinning cheekily, she sat back, and watched all the others, especially the older male, with interest.
She made sure to divide her attenion, however. The black cub caught her interest the most, because she still couldn't figure out how to make it clear that she wouldn't hurt him. Males were so weird! They acted all high and might in prides, but this is was going quite far in the "weird" area in her mind.

She looked from cub to cub, then to the older lion. "Hey, anyone wanna play?" She asked, a bright smile on her face. She looked over to the small black cub, and her smile fadded, her head tilted to one side. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asked, walking slowly up to the little male. "How come you're not smiling?" Jinamizi asked. "Aren't you having fun?"

"Sorry. I was jus' curious..." Amani replied and went back to being the shy little cub again. She looked at the other girl cub, the black one, and scooted away just slightly. It was okay with the butterfly, cause it didn't talk. It was okay with watching the other two cubs, 'cause they didn't know she was there. It was even kinda okay with the big lion with the pretty eyes, because he was interesting. But now she started to feel crowded, and that never felt good.

"Tafari," he said softly as the light colored and apparently hyper female introduced herself and asked who the rest of them were. "Kisikusiku is a nice name," he smiled at her. Maybe having all these cubs around wouldn't be so bad. Things would be more interesting at least.
"Play?" he asked nervously, having never played games when he was younger for the lack of others his age. He watched even more nervously as the black female addressed the black male. Instinctively, he moved a paw protectively in front of the male, smiling at the female, "Why don't you three play for a bit," he said, ever the more softly, not wanting there to be any trouble. He had a feeling that he sorta understood what the little male was going through.
"It's okay, you don't have to be sorry," he said to the blue stripped cub. Well... If things remained calm like this, he didn't have to be worried as much.

"Tafari's an awesome name," said Kisi, a little in awe. She stayed away from the black cub, mainly because he intimidated her. Blinking, she shook her head. "No, I don't wanna play. I wanna talk! It's easier to get to know each that way!" Kisi was a tiny bit hyper because of sudden adrenaline rush that the black cub made her go through.
She was still a little shaken, but she wondered why the two males were acting... weird... Clearing her throat softly, she grinned at the other two females. "You two haven't introduced yourselves yet! What's your names?" She was trying hard to make light of the situation, because the tension in the air was driving her crazy.

Jinamizi looked up to the older cat, and nodded lightly. "Alright." She smiled, and ran back over to the other two cubs. She looked back to the two males. "Come play with us later." She said happily, a playful smile on her face. She turned back to the two, and crouched to the ground, her tail sticking up in the air wagging from side to side. "I'm Jinamizi." She said, as she eyed the two other females. "Though you can call me whatever you want." She pounced on a small bug that she had been watching. "Alot of people call me 'Hey cub!'" She opened her paws to find a small hole. "That wil work too.." she said, her features falling when she saw the bug was missing.

She shook her head slowly whe Tafari told her not to be sorry.
"No. M'not supposed to ask questions. 'S rude," she replied and eyed Kisi warily. She was too... bouncy. Amani admitted, she liked to be bouncy sometimes, but only a little bouncy. Kisi was a lot. And the black girl was too. But she looked kinda calm now, and that was better than super hyper. The little boy looked a little bit like how she felt and she wondered if he didn't like lots of others around him as well. She looked down at her tail, which was curled around her paws, and blinked.
"My name's Amani," she mumbled, her attention now caught on the beetle that was making its merry little way over her tail.

Harabu didn't say anything he just watched them behind Tafari, why were there so many weird females around!! He just watched, looking confused, well if they were staying for a bit, he was leaving. He didn't want to be around lots of females, they are mean horrid creatures! He just watched, trying not to cry out from where he was scared.

Tafari stiffened, quickly getting even more flustered than he already was. He didn't like having to keep moving his eyes from one female to another. "T-thank you," he said to the first, the one who complimented his name. Talk? Tafari frowned lightly, not really understanding what was so special about just talking.
Some time while he was pondering this, the females seemed to move a bit farther away. At least one of them... Tafari glanced over his shoulder at the younger male again. "What happened?" he asked softly, so as the other three couldn't hear. For now it was best to give the little black cub some room away from the females.

She frowned at the feeling in the air--extreme tension--and backed away. She hated tension with a passion. It drove her crazy. It made her... sit and think, instead of playing around and being mischevious, which was her favorite thing to be and do. Tafari didn't seem to like her or the other females, neither did the younger black cub.
Growling quietly, she backed away until she was partly covered in the shadows. The sun was starting to set, and her scarlet orbs were glowing somewhat as she looked off toward the horizon before returning her attention to the others. "All right, then. Jinamizi and Amani, it's been a pleasure to meet you."
She paused as she thought about Jinamizi's last comment. "Who calls you 'hey, cub'? That's rude! And mean." Quieting, she glowered at the other female. There was something about her... maybe her shyness? Whatever. She was starting to get angry because the tension that was being laid on thick with all five of them there, and she wanted to get away.

Harabu looked up at the older lion and decided to tell him why he hated females, after all it would make sense! "Mother beat me 'arve me 'n' 'urt me. Dey afta me... stupid femmes." He let a little snarl out in his very small talk. He couldn't talk well so didn't unless he had to and if he did he always kept it short, was simple to do it that way.

Amani looked up from the beetle, her face a picture of shock when the little male spoke. She didn't know what she'd do if an adult went after her. She looked back down at her tail and nodded her head.
"I'm sorry. I didna know you didna like girls. Sorry," she told him and scooted a little farther away from him. She really felt confined now, and worse, not wanted. Ever so quietly, she crept away, back into the tall grasses.
