"Couldn't you have found a rock to throw at it or something? Sheesh. All this because I was Mister Nice Guy and saved you from that thing in the first place. Real nice."
He was still blaming her as if she had done it on purpose, and was probably doing it if that same reason. Just hassling her on purpose, for the sake of it.
Of course, he was making her apologize for hitting him with her attack, but he hadn't offered any apology for nearly throwing her off a roof when he tackled the youma. It seemed he didn't play that game: he could do no wrong, and he was cross when he was wronged. Or felt he had been wronged. Or wanted to pretend like he was for kicks.
He growled at her.
"I don't think it's even," he argued, very much noting the strain in her voice. "I did most of the work. Anyway, you wouldn't have had to save me in anyway if I hadn't bothered to come over and rescue you in the first place. So it's all your fault, any way. But whatever, I'll just make you pay it back. What happened down there, anyway? How did it get the advantage of you when you can do stuff like that?"
His tone had changed just slightly. He was actually interested in her attack, as it seemed like it could be very useful in a fight considering how he had only gotten a taste of it and had been sent reeling.

His sudden turnaround and implementation of the Blame Game made Kallichore lose a great deal of respect for the guy. She stood up and crossed her arms, looking as stern as she could manage. She ignored all his whining (which she chalked up to 1) being an a** in general, 2) being embarrassed that he had to be saved by a girl and 3) being wigged out over her attack) and figured that any further arguing would just get ugly. And she couldn't use her full super attack again. Though the thought of hitting him with the Pulse attack instead did make her flash a smile for a moment.
"You didn't have to stop and save me, you know." she started, trying very hard not to roll her eyes at him. Did this guy not get hugged enough as a child or something? Were his a** wings on too tight? Seriously. "I'm sure I could have managed to back it into a corner and have dealt with it like that. It was just fast and as soon as I sensed it coming, it was on top of me. b*****d's very good at sneaking up on people." Looking over to where the youma had definitely met its fate, Kallichore smiled in satisfaction. "Now it's just a stain somewhere, if there's even that much of it left."
She shrugged at his other comments. It wasn't often that someone took even slight interest in her power set. It usually creeped people out. "Unfortunately, my powers don't effect youma the same way they do living, breathing, thinking people. Youma don't have fears and insecurities and stigmas that people do. It makes fighting youma harder in a way."

If Chaonis had a dime for every time another Senshi wanted to hit him with their attack he would be able to build a house of dimes. As it stood, he had no dimes and a lot of frienemies.
"Right, because letting you get killed would have been better than all this mess. I should have thought of that," he grunted, but he didn't believe it. His philosophy was, as annoying as he could be and as many people on his own team didn't like him, they were still his people. The Senshi, that is. He took care of them in his way, and he made sure that the Negaverse didn't have easy pickings.
"So you're not so good with the youma, but a Nega could be up s**t creek, right?" He looked thoughtful, his attitude still ebbing away. He could be a difficult one to deal with. It seemed like he was easy to read, throw away jack a**, but he had twists and turns in him. at the moment, he seemed he had forgotten they were arguing and was now talking battle tactics.
"How much practice do you get with it on people?"

Kallichore brushed away his rhetoric about letting her get killed. There was no point to continue to argue with him and if the subject of conversation could change to something more positive, well... who was she to stem that flow? Besides, the easier he was to get along with, the better. But damn they could have had a bit more finesse when it came to taking out that youma.
"Negas generally are up s**t creek without a boat or a paddle when they get hit, yes. I'm rather fond of my mindraping powers, to be honest." A sinister grin may or may not have crossed her features then. Truth be told, she rather liked experimenting on Negaverse agents because, let's face it, they're asking for it. Kallichore considered it a very mean form of karma. "I'm made a few of them cry before, and I'm only at super status. I'm very... interested to see what Eternal will bring me. Who knows? Maybe they'll be catatonic when I'm through with them."
With a shrug, she continued. Kallichore liked to talk battle strategies. It was something she thought she was good at. "How much practice? I practice as often as I can find a target, basically. I can only shoot it off once at super level and use the less potent version once as well. That's just the voices, or so I'm told."

"I'm not interested in making Negaverse idiots cry," he said, looking a little disappointed by the application, "just crushed. I've never been one for attacks that, I dunno. Defend against attacks or slow them down, or whatever, unless you've got a fist to follow through with. No point waisting time in a fight by watching."
He listened to her explain her attack, nodding his head. At least she had a clear line and sight of what she could do. His own attacks were a little more chaotic, and of course, dangerous. Not in the sense that they did more damage in a fight, though they were offense based in that way, but that he didn't have quite as much control. He didn't know the specifics.
Never bothering to learn, for the most part.
But he had trained hard to be able to use them effectively in battle. Now, as an Eternal, he had lost a lot of that control with his new power. And he didn't know his third attack immediately, which infuriated him further. So there was that.
"You team up with fists very often?"

"Crushed? Believe you me, I'm sure I've crushed a few... mentally. I know I gave one severe nightmares for weeks. I still have no idea what he saw, but it messed him up something fierce." Kallichore loved to think back to how she fought Benitoite and showed him was fear really was. She honestly wanted to know what it was that he saw, but a full-blown panic attack meant whatever he did see, he was phobic of. That made her incredibly proud. "I'm glad I can give people hallucinations. It allows me to... close the distance, so to speak, in relative safety. While they're staring at something truly horrifying, I can be kicking them in the head and they hardly notice."
Another shrug and a smug look. It was times like these when she wished she was Chaonis' rank, if only to see what damage she could do to someone else's mind with her last attack. "Depends on what you mean by 'team up'." she said, shifting her weight from one foot to the other. "If you mean to follow up with a severe beating, then that's par for the course. If you mean to team up with someone else, then no. That doesn't happen too often. I usually work solo, but I don't mind working with someone else whose goals align with my own. That is... getting s**t done, to put it bluntly."
Shaking her head, Kallichore rolled her eyes. "I don't do the froo-froo talk-instead-of-fighting thing. I'd rather cut to the chase than to dance around it." For emphasis, she pushed a curled fist into her open palm.

Chaonis frowned thoughtfully. He wasn't much for that kind of stuff. Playing around was all fine and good, but being crazy and evil was the Negaverse's job.
He was dead set against doing their job for them, as he often told himself while he was training or fighting with other senshi. He could hurt them and teach them the hard way, but if he let them get killed under his care he was no better than them. The same theory applied here, in his mind.
"Well, at least we agree on that part, anyway. The getting s**t done part. So, if you ever need a strong pair of fists, feel free to ring me up. You didn't drop your phone while you were being psycho, right?"
He could be a jerk and almost nice at the same time, when he wanted to be. Not straight out nice, of course. That was still beyond him. No, he could just offer some help and his aid, while hiding it under insults and a haughty attitude when he came across something he didn't quite agree with. It wasn't his job to change the way she acted or the things she did.
But he certainly didn't have to be nice to her about it.
In the end, they were two people fighting for the same goal and, though their attacks were different, their ideas seemed similar. So he felt he could at least back her up if she needed it, and make sure she didn't get herself killed.
"We can probably cut to the chase pretty quick as a duo, at least." He grinned.

She chuckled and with a flick of her wrist, her phone came into existence. She held it up to take a snapshot of Chaonis to register his information. "Nope, always keep the phone and other valuables in subspace while I'm off being psycho. Less likely to lose them that way." His offer of temporary partnership, should she need it, was comforting. His fists would be quite useful on particularly difficult youma like the one they just fought.
"I suppose I'm most interested in making the Negaverse sorry for what they're doing. Sure, I'd love to enlighten some of them without throwing a punch, but that seems pretty difficult. I haven't had any that will listen to me. Perhaps I'm not meant to be an ambassador." she said, combing back some of those annoying loose strands of hair with her hand. "Oh well. You are right - you and I could cut to the chase very quickly. I'll be sure to call you if I think you'll have fun handling someone. Or something."
She gave him a short bow of her head out of respect. A curtsy, in this thing? Heavens no. And it wasn't like he'd appreciate that anyway. "It's been a pleasure, but I'm afraid I don't know your name. Eternal's about all I've gotten."

Chaonis could be a selfish, self absorbed a** hole, but sometimes he was less than that. Or more than that, as it were. He could be supportive, at the very least, and he could be a team player if it meant keeping his colleagues and those that he trained or even hassled alive.
He didn't hate his fellow senshi.
He debated giving her his name, though, just to be a jerk.
"Chaonis. Eternal is good too, of course. Bad a**. Sir. My Hero. You know, any of those work just fine," he grinned at her again, offering her his hand. He wasn't much for bowing or curtsying, but he supposed he didn't really have to worry about that.
At the end of the day, despite his behavior and conflicting tones of his conversation, he decided he liked Kallichore. She had enough conviction to not doubt her own methods, or p***y foot around if he indicated he didn't agree. She also liked a food fight, which was always a plus. If she ever got in trouble again, she would have him to count on to aid her, that at least was for sure.
And for teasing or if she ever had the need to be really annoyed at any time. She could always call him then.

Taking his hand, she gave it a firm shake in return. "Chaonis. Right, I'll remember that when someone needs a thorough pummeling. You'll be the first one I call. Promise." With a smirk, the phone disappeared again in the time it took to flick her wrist. "Who could pass up the perfect opportunity to piledrive a youma? I mean really."
It was getting late and she could tell by how high the moon was in the sky, and how it was crossing the paths of the stars. With as much action as she'd seen that night, she'd been getting an awful lot of sleep. Kallichore pushed some of her unruly hair out of her face and sighed. "I guess I should get going. I can't possibly go out patrolling tomorrow night with no sleep. That would be stupid." She muttered the last part as a reminder to herself. No running around while under the influence of lack of sleep! There isn't an easier way to get seriously maimed.
Stepping away, she gave Chaonis a small wave before descending the stairs that had brought them to the battlefield to begin with. Thank Jove that going down the stairs was always easier than going up them. She'd be sore in the morning.
