((Edited in something to the Soul Power Center from my last post. Forgot the other half of Obelisk >.<)) The crossguard of spindly white tendrils that formed something akin to wings began to writhe of their own accord as the blade and the barrier slammed into one another. Light began to leap from his body as another roar of effort spilled out from his form. [Essentia Point Used-The Key to Obelisk] Energy flared through the blade as the single hilt seemed to break in two in his hand, a great groan of metal upon metal filling the air as Obelisk seemed to split in two. [Smite Attempt Used-Obelisk Unlocked]When seen from above Obelisk looked like a...well...like an obelisk, but flattened to a certain degree in order to form a blade. The stretched diamond that was the blade split in half, creating two parallelograms with the single edge that was striking Rasarai's barrier remaining whore. The other half, however, began to slide away. The Right remaining in contact, The Left began to slide away, pulling up and away. It sailed up and over his head in an arc, swining back down to slam into Rarasai on the other side with the same destructive force. Meanwhile, the whole of his body seemed to glow brighter and the wings upon Obelisk curled and unfurled. They grew taut and light burst from Shar's back, several tendrils of white light extending back several yards. A thin membrane of white light joined them as they too began to writhe of their own accord. [Essentia Point Used-Obelisk of Torment-Wings]
Soulmelds Unlocking Obelisk gives no extra benefits. The fact that he can wielf each side one handed is good enough.

Though the Knights flaming barrier was now 100 times stronger it was still not strong enough to take the full power of the obelisk. Even with one blade the entire barrier shook with force as each blow destroyed a part of the barrier. Rasarai, the red haired warrior that was holding the barrier up sweated and strained to maintain his focus. His red martial arts gear clung with sweat as his red eyes flared angrily with power. Now that the obelisk was striking from 2 different directions the Knight knew that his time was quickly running out.
As the energy in his hands began to grow the Knight knew that for them to have sufficient energy he had to hold off the attacks for just a little while longer. As each blow shattered the earth around the barrier and forced his power to lose its intensity the Knight knew that this was going to be an all or nothing battle. He considered going Nova to counter the power that Shar was unleashing but he knew that going Nova at this point was near impossible, he didn't have enough power or rage to unleash such an attack. As the intensity of his power in his hands grew and grew the Knight knew that he just had to hold on just a little longer, though his barrier was rapidly losing its power the Knight strained even harder to hold on. For him to succeed the Knight had to hold on.

Slowly the two blades pulled away, but the onslaught was far from over. He began to rise into the air then quickly began to soar, the two blades trailing behind him, a wake of energy left behind. He rose up and stalled, falling backwards and down towards the ground. He entered a dive straight for Rasarai, shifting in flight to bring one blade at him as the other went up.
He was like a huge buzzsaw.
His blows would be easily deflected if they didn't devestate Rasarai's defense, but if they got through Rasarai would find the blades blunted, so he would merely get him with a huge club o the chest instead of a blade that would cut him in half. As he got closer the blades would continue to come, but would slice through the ground, throwing up wave after wave of debris.

As the Knight strained to maintain and control his power Rasarai sees Shar move towards him at frightening speed, he knows that if Shar strikes with those blades and even though they would be blunted the Knight would suffer greatly from such an attack. Knowing that his counter didn't have the power needed to stop Shar in his tracks completely the Knight decided that he would have to try at least.
Shifting his hands in a position above him he aimed directly towards the attacking shar, within moments the chi barrier disappeared only to be replaced by a shining orb of energy that was gathered in his hands. Pulsating light as bright as the sun and clearly bright enough to blind anyone looking at it the Knight roared, "This is it! Final Flash!!" ((DBZ I know.. ^^"))
As his veins roared with rage and power the Knights attack blazed out of his hands towards Shar, moving at the speed close to the speed of sound the Knights power beam attack literally sizzled and burnt through the air. Having an excess temperature of over 2000 degrees the Knight was literally planning to burning the living crap out of Shar. This was a dangerous situation for Rasarai as he was now almost completely defenseless, this was an all or nothing attack which could decide the fate of the match.

Light blazed from the rope around Shar's middle as wisps of incarnum began to sink into it. [Essentia Point Used-Flame Cincture] Rasarai's heat and flame would now do nothing to Shar at all, as as the blades were an extension of his soul and Torment's soul was bound with a phoenix, it didn't look like the blades were going to be stopping anytime soon. In fact, they began to blaze with light as his spin seemed to increase in speed and ferocity. [Smite Attempt Used] He was going to pwn the living ******** out of Rasarai, no question about it. As Rasarai's beam struck Shar he soon realized that he had made an error, but not an error that couldn't be rectified. As the Shar literally cut through the beam and sailed towards him Rasarai knew he had one chance, one chance to survive such an unholy amount of pwnage.
Shifting once more the frequency of his chi the Knight sent a vibration through the beam as Shar sped towards him with unrelenting fury. Rasarai knew this was only going to be a once off hit, if he missed this then it would be over. Rasarai knew he would lose the fight unless he did this or went Nova, and at the moment he was willing to lose the fight instead of going Nova.
As Shar spun but mere metres away from him the Knight saw that Shar was simply streaming through due to his immunity, but there is no immunity to external force being detonated around one's body. In that instant, just before Shars blade seemed to stream towards him with unimaginable speed and power the Knights beam detonated with the same power as that of a several stinger missiled in one row. The blasts ripped the ground asunder and it also threw Rasarai to the far side of the battlefield. Rocks and debris flew in all directions as Rasarai smashed into the shield surrounding the arena.
Groggily getting to his feet the Knight was now fairly injurred, suffering from lacerations and bruises the Knight assumed groggily a defence stance as he waited for the dust to clear. He knew that there was no way Shar could be immune to an explosion attack, no matter how immune he was to flame. Rasarai simply waited for Shar to reappear from the dust, wondering whether his small counter had worked.

((Yeah, like I said, I forgot ^_^```)) Shar was sent...well...spinning, but hardly in the way he had intended. His rapid spin is disrupted, but only to the point where he isn't going to be doing much to Rasarai. Control is quickly reestablished as one blade is tilted to create lift, carrying Shar high into the air once more. One half of the blade is released to enter a freefall as Shar flies out and up. Light blazes from the side he still holds as he flies back towards the other half with great speed. [Smite Attempt Used] A shockwave pulsed through through the air as the massive blade was sent careening towards the earth...directly at Rasarai. Shar himself wasn't far behind, ready to swing the blade tightly gripped in both hands, more light bursting forth from the massive weapon. If God intended to make Rasarai a corpse today he sure was giving alot of good signs. As he stood there as Shar flight was disrupted by the explosions the Knight once more tapped into his power. In truth Rasarai never ran out of power, what was dangerous for him was the control of his power. It took alot of will and focus to direct his Nova strength anywhere, and at the moment he was barely hanging on.
As he forcibly combined his rage and power together the Knight once more entered Hyper Adrenalin Charge, feeling the strain on his body the Knight forced it to even higher levels. Forcibly changing his chi around him to brilliant white flame the Knight tripled the power he was unleashing. In this form the Knight knew he had enough power to counter Shar but only for a short moment.
This technique could only be used for a short periods at a time, due to the fact it forcibly drew more power than what was safe. As the shockwave ripped the air towards him Rasarai almost blinked out of existance as the blade hit, sending dust and rocks back up into the air. As he warped to his left the Knight felt the effects of the shockwave push him back from his original place, grunting angrily Rasarai forcibly stopped his motion and used even more power to warp towards Shar.
Traveling at a speed rivaling a shot from a standard machine gun and the fact his blazing white hot chi was now around him to buffer any resistance the Knight knew that this shot should hit, he had not seen anything that made Shar move at speeds rivaling his own. Since he had so much power the Knight himself had somehow emulated the move Shar was so fond off.
Moving the air molecules around his fist from momentum the Knight created a small shockwave barrier around his being, should he hit the power of the shot should be equal to that of a mountain exploding since he was using more power, should he miss it would be similar to the shockwave that Shar had unleashed with his blade. As he warped towards Shar the Knight felt his hold slipping on his power, and the demon known as Nova threatened to break lose.

Rasarai would impace with the flat of the blade, an explosion of force and energy passing outwards like any that had been seen in this stadium for a great many years. The shields protecting the audience buckled and strained, but held, absorbing the force. The massive blade would spin off in one direction while Shar spun in the other, thrown out of the area with a blaze of light. [Essentia Point Used-Crystal Helm] The strain was clearly evident upon the man as he gripped the part of Obelisk that remained with him, the detachable hilt that doubled as one of his favored weapons. [Soul Forge-Longbow of Souls]
Breathing hard he drew back a single powerful bolt and unleashed it upon his opponent. [Essentia Point Used-Longbow of Souls] He was running low on Essentia and it was clearly showing, the faint glow of his eyes fading, the wings upon his back flickering as he began a slow fall, one that needed to find the other half of Obelisk or the ground damned quick. Speaking of Obelisk, the half that went flying slammed into the shield on the far end of the arena. It seemed to crush in upon itself and then explode, overloading the shields in the area and leaving the audience at risk.

As Rasarai smashed upon the flat of the blade he did not expect such a massive explosion to ensue, as the ground literally ripped itself apart under the force of the 2 giant powers Lord Rasarai felt his focus and will slipping, and the darkness known as Nova began to gain control. As he was blasted back from his opponent he gritted his teeth together hard as he forcibly used his power to stop in midair, burning his already tattered martial arts outfit a bit more. Though he savagely stopped the momentum that threatened to smash him into the barrier his hyper senses never failed, as he looked up he saw another attack on its preparation, an attack should it hit cause damage but ultimately destroy his will altogether.
Spinning to his left the Knight rocketed hastily to dodge the attack and barely did in the process, as the entrails of his aura clashed with the powerful bolt unleashing another explosionl, though not as powerful as the first but powerful enough to smash Rasarai out of trajectory. As the ground once more spat dust and debris into the air the Knight used this to his advantage, using his upgraded but strained powers once more he warped up into the air hight above Shar Addan. Once more he was going on the offensive.
Summoning as much power as he could safely control the Knight shot both hands in front of him and screamed savagely as hundreds upon hundreds of small 5 cm diameter orbs of solar energy screamed towards Shar's position, though many would think this was aimed at him the audience would be surprised to see that Rasarai had aimed not at him but at the ground and area around him. As they screamed towards him at the same speed of a bullet leaving a rifle the Knight knew this battle may have to end soon or else his control over his power might disappear. As they moved even closer the Knight knew this would hurt his opponent substantiously though he is immune to Fire, explosions with the same strength as a tank round would continuously explode around him sending chunks of molten rock and sharp objects in all directions around the Shar.

As the first arrow was deflected off Rasarai'd aura it whirled back around to slam into the Longbow. Holding it in each hand Shar was bourne far up and away from Rasarai and his assault. He finally stopped just above the second half of Obelisk that had been jammed into the ground. Holding the Longbow in one hand he reached down and grabbed Obelisk, slipping it from the ground as his wings burst back into their full splendor.
The blade spiraled up around him as he began a slow spin, but he wasn't going to create another buzzsaw type attack, nay, this would be much more fun. He darted through the air to the thin pillar he he created before, aiming to slam his left hand into it, which contained the Longbow of Souls, and create an...interesting combination. With a brilliant flash of light he turned and set Obelisk to a notch on the staff, pulled back a small degree while Obelisk as a whole shot back nearly the full fourthy feet. Light blazed from the massive weapon as it issued forth, rending the air itself in a wake of destruction, a thin trail of soulstuff linking the massive blade to the huge staff.

Grunting angrily the Knight shifted his powers into defense mode expecting a counter attack. As he turned to face Shar in his new position the Knight knew he had nothing strong enough to deflect such a mighty attack. As rage and fear mixed in his system Rasarai lifted his right hand and summoned layer after layer of chi defence in the hopes of somehow holding off the attack, on his left Rasarai charged the one weapon that he knew could somehow give him the advantage. As the air was now visibly swimming with heat Rasarai in the last moments thought of an interesting counter attack.
As the blade and its unholy combination of power ripped through the air towards him Rasarai threw the first 3 of his chi barriers at the weapon, it literally ripped through the first 3 barriers as explosions scorched the air between he and Shar, but this was only to slow the weapon down if it was only for a moment. Rasarai threw the rest of his chi barriers at the weapon as explosion after explosion detonated at the contact of the 2 powers, Rasarai knew that there was no way for him to stop it but if he could only slow it down just a tad.
As the last 3 barriers ripped out of his aura field towards the obelisk Rasarai smiled as he forced himself to lower his position and unleashed the one weapon he knew would somehow almost nullify the destructive force behind Obelisk. "Solar Flare!" roared the Knight as his left hand shot forward as he let gravity take him, a bright light coupled with the force of an explosive piece of dynamite ripped the air around Rasarai and the obelisk, with this move Rasarai aimed the attack just below Obelisk meaning it would lose its momentum to go forward, as well as temporarily blind Shar from the light.
As he fell Rasarai forced more power into his being as he watched Shar being bathed in the solar light of a solar flare. As gravity continued to claim him Rasarai once more used his powered up form to blaze towards Shar at a speed that almost looked like he was warping. Moving at hyper speed the Knight knew that if Shar was blinded there was no way in hell he could see or stop the Knights attack. As he charged Rasarai cocked his left arm back as his right blazed with power for a defence to a counter, moving at blinding speeds Rasarai charged forth to once again readily smite his opponent.

He didn't need sight to see, what else was a brother good for anyway? The blade flew upwards, but didn't stay going that way, it shifted in midair and dived on Rasarai, aiming to either slice and dice or at least block his coming assault. Either way, this was an interupt style post brought to you by Tac Co.

If Rasarai had been stupid he would have been totally skewered by that attack. Shifting his stance in midair the Knight swung a mighty roundhouse kick to try and deflect the blade. As the destructive force of the blade met his blazing kick Rasarai swore angrily as he forcibly kicked the blade away, knowing it would come back like it did before Rasarai pointed both hands one towards the blade and one towards Shar to show them that he was no fool.
As beams of energy flashed forth from both hands the explosive power of the stars shot forth one aiming directly at Shar and one aimed at the blade. Rasarai felt that he was spending the majority of this battle fighting the blade instead of Shar. As both beams closed in on the 2 targets Rasarai began to lose control...too much strain like this was angering the demon within.

As the blade was kicked away it began to dart back towards Shar, the trail it had been leaving behind blocking a direct shot towards the man from Rasarai's position. He darted forward again, swerving through the trail Obelisk had left so as to ensure the blast would pass to one side, the blade vanishing in midair as the blast approached to return to his hand. He flew straight at Rasarai with the same path the blade had followed, this time bringing both the huge staff and the blade towards Rasarai as he entered a spin, both aiming to strike the Knight on his left side, a wall of death heading his way.
