Fiona turned as Finn addressed her as Ginger. She frowned slightly, unaccustomed to the nickname as her dual colored eyes looked about for the source. Spotting him she offered a small smile recognizing him from camp. Like him, she didn't remember his name so she was careful as she responded.

"Firewood?" She repeated glancing over in the direction he pointed at. Vaguely she remembered the stack that was always there from past parties. He mentioned beer and she looked over the bag, she wasn't much of a drinker but one beer never hurt. "Yeah, no problem," she replied easily turning on her heel towards the direction of the firewood.

Most girls probably would've pitched a fit but Fiona wasn't one who was afraid to do anything. So she walked off, gathering an armful of wood and head back over.

Wandering through the crowd Aitana was taking in the scene with soft interest. She could smell food being grilled in the distance, could hear the soft hiss of carbonation escaping cans, she could taste the salt of the ocean. The laughter and good mood was infectious though, and her grin grew wider and wider the longer she was there.

It was chance alone that she was near enough to hear Vanessa and Lily reference her school, and she stepped curiously closer trying to see if she knew either of the girls from the hallways.

However her head turned a little when she heard something about dancing naked around the fire. Well if that was tradition... Then it looked like Aitana would be dropping her drawers at some point that afternoon or evening!

He was still young enough to do this kind of stuff.. right..? It was a question that might have crossed the mind of other 26 year olds strolling into a party of prodominately teen and college aged patrons. But not Corey!

It wasn't often he had a day off, but after all his.. extracuricular activities lately he felt he'd deserved it. It may have had something to do with the fact that he'd caught wind of the party from someone at the arcade.

So here he was, mullet shimmering in the sun about as loud as his hawaiian floral swim trunks. Hoisted on one shoulder was a fair sized cooler of beer that someone a little less than legal had paid him to bring.

As he found a nice shadey spot to settle his cooler in the sand Corey let his eyes roam, taking in all the 'sights'.

It surprised Vanessa, to know that the other redhead had almost no recollection of her. She was pretty sure she recognized Lily from a couple of classes, and certainly they had bumped into each other in the hallway.

"Vanessa," said Vanessa, smiling kindly. Those golden eyes twinkled. "You're Lily, right? We graduated together."

There was a predictably awkward pause, in which Vanessa struggled to think of something else worthwhile to say. Meeting people had always been a forte, of hers. But this was different. She and Lily had known each other for years, without ever truly talking to one another. Given the right circumstances, they might have been very good friends. Vanessa was sorry that they hadn't spoken sooner.

"I'm waitressing, right now. Didn't really have the grades to get into Sovereign Heights. What are you doing now?"

Out of the corner of her eye Vanessa spotted Aitana, and waved her over with a grin.

"I know you! From the volleyball team, right?"

Jack was as happy to see Skye as he always was. She was his Captain, and his superior, and the person who'd helped him embraced the Negaverse, after his own corruption. For these reasons, she would always be special to him. But they weren't alone, and he had called a Cliff Party because he'd actually wanted to attend.

His cheeks turned a faint shade of pink when Devi skipped over to them, but it was something that could easily be attributed to the heat of the day. Jack was very aware of both girls, sitting on either side of him. Skye was his lover. He and Devi had not so much as kissed, but they had gone out together.

Jack enjoyed them equally, if for different reasons. Right now, he felt like something stronger than a beer.

"Thanks," he said, and plucked the bottle of wine gently from Devi's outstretched hands, "I'll have some of that."

The glass of the bottle was fantastically cool against his lips. The tart of the wine made Jack, who always guzzled when he should have sipped, wince. He made a face, swallowed, and then took a little bit more.

'Now the party don't start 'till I walk in!'

The lyrics made Jack beam. He was grateful for the distraction from his slightly awkward company, and pumped his fist in the air. It was aimed at Finn in what could only be described as an epic bro-salute.

"Don't stop, make it pop," Jack smirked, and wiggled his eyebrows for the benefit of both Skye and Devi, "DJ, blow my speakers up!"

Darryl had sat on a rock a bit, watching the scene unfold, but when Fiona went to get the firewood, she decided to follow. It seemed unfair that the girl had to do all the work !

And damn... Damn, those eyes were pretty as hell, she couldn't lie about that. "Mind if I help out ?" She said with a grin. "You'll get the first smore." She patted her bag knowingly. "The workers go first !"

Griffin merely shrugged at his theatrics and shook her head at Jack. "Don't encourage him," she said to the boy. Turning back to Finn, she asked, "Would you like me to arrange a burial at sea or are you making your own pyre?" Her arms were folded across her chest and only disturbed them to wave at Fiona. Hadn't she seen her at camp? She was glad no one had died during the ordeal. However, that had opened her up to being grabbed and dragged by Finn. She was smiling, though, and enjoying the summer sun.

She picked up some firewood and from behind her sunglasses she raised an eyebrow. "Woah, woah, woah, Finn. Let's not get all Lord of the Flies out here. You'd be a pretty convincing Simon, though." Mmm, high school literature references. Her forte. She dropped the wood into the pile and rummaged around his bag until she found it. It was pretty hard digging around the alcohol, but she made do. She tossed it at him and dug her toes in the sand in anticipation of the fire.

"You're probably right about the naked heathen fire dancing, though. It's hot enough as is and with the fire there'll be no other choice." But such was life during the summers of youth. She delved back into his bag and pulled out her own cool beverage and poured it into her canteen first and swished it around with a mischievous smile.

Lily frowned for a moment, the a look of oh jumped onto her face. "Oh oh oh, Im so sorry. Um you were in a math class right? I'm sorry, senior year was such a blur, what with so much going on it hard to keep everything straight."

She turned to see Vanessa calling over Aitana and she grinned and waved to the girl. She hadn't seen much of the girl, but she'd been around at Halloween. They played a game together. "I remember you from Halloween," she called out, "come over. come over."

She looked back to Vanessa and smiled, "I got accepted into Destiny City University, so I guess it straight to university for me. Trying to move out to but the details haven't been worked completely out just yet."

She paused for a second looking over Vanessa with a thoughtful expression before going, "You wore a yellow dress to Jada's ball didn't you?'

"Thank you, beautiful," said Finn genially as he took the sticks from Fiona and set them on the growing pile. He tossed a fist in the air towards Jack, returning the Bro Salute, and yelled, "TONIGHT IMMA FIGHT TILL WE SEE THE SUNLIGHT!" at the boy. It was the least he could do in the presence of another Ke$ha appreciator.

"Given the options," he said, relatively serious as he took the lighter from Griffin. "I think I would prefer to live a long and happy life." Flicking the lighter close to his pyramid of timber, he continued, "Let no man burn upon this pyre - simply burn it as testament to how happy we are to be who we are right here and right now. I hope you all heard that because I will not be getting weird and meta-philosophical again tonight unless you get me really drunk."

The fire caught, and Finn began to feed it progressively bigger sticks. "Here, piggy piggy," he snorted at Griffin, ribbing her playfully as he reached for more wood. The fire crackled promisingly as it grew. "Want to take bets on who will be the first to strip?"

It wasn't a proper bonfire yet, but it was getting there. Finn just needed a while to work his magic before it would really get going. But he was good at fires, and it was coming along nicely. "I hope you all know that you owe me big time," he announced, to no one in particular but directing it at everyone within earshot.

"Yes!" She piped up happily in response as she was recognized, especially for her skills as opposed to just being 'the foreign exchange student'. Given the invitation she quickly drew forward towards the other two girls, offering her name as well. "Aitana"

She hadn't remembered the redhead from halloween until the other girl mentioned it, but her head bobbed as the memories flooded back.

Both of the girls were older and graduated it seemed, so she wouldn't likely be seeing much of them during the upcoming school year. But that didn't mean she shouldn't get to know them a little for now and today!

"School and work are blahhh" She mused, sticking her tongue out a little to exentuate the point. A necessary evil yes, but there were more fun things to talk about. "You have been to cliff party before?" She asked them both curiously.

Fiona turned towards Darryl and smiled brightly at the other girl. "Thanks," she mumbled shifting the wood in her arm carefully so she could extend a hand. "I appreciate it," she told her offering her hand a bit awkwardly. "I'm Fiona," she introduced herself as she chuckled at the smore comment. "Awesome, I love smores," she laughed lightly shaking her head. "What kind of chocolate do you have?" She asked tilting her head slightly.

She focused her gaze on Darryl even as they reached Finn and he took the firewood from her arms. Her eyes were unusual for sure, a rare sight to find anywhere but they were no longer the most unusual thing about her. Not that she'd ever actually admit aloud what had become her most unusual aspect. She turned to possibly fetch more wood when she paused.

"Wanna help me fetch a little more just in case?" She asked.

--

At first the boy hadn't planned on coming to the Cliff Party, especially since he had been in stage one of his life changing plan. Of course, he couldn't let Jack down, especially when the other boy had been there for him during his post-break up period. Chase was still reeling from the events but he figured getting out was worth a shot.

Maybe he'd even find a girl to rebound off of.

So he had come, arriving on scene casually, shirtless, wearing just a pair of black boardshorts with white stripes down the sides and a case of beers that he had acquired just like Finn. He ran a hand through his dual colored hair as he scanned the area for a familiar face. His amber eyes settled on Jack, perhaps one of the only familiar faces he could see right off the bat.

So, despite the pair of girls sitting beside him, he approached his friend setting the case down and offering him a smile. "Hey Jack," he nodded at the boy casually glancing at the two girls and offering them a more charming smile.

Darryl just grinned. "No problem !" She was all too used to work for what she wanted, and saw no reason to do things any differently today.

"Just normal milk chocolate." She heard some fancy a** smores combos, and they sounded tasty, but it was better to keep it to the basics for her.

As they carried their loads back, Darryl couldn't help herself any longer. "Are your eyes... Real, or contacts ? It looks so nice."

At the redhead's question, she nodded. "Might as well, just to be sure !"

"You two are fantastic," Finn enthused when Fiona and Darryl returned with even more firewood. He motioned for them to set it on his growing pile beside the pit and fed a larger log into the growing bonfire. It had reached a self-sustaining size, but he was going for a fire of truly epic proportions. The way it was now it would keep going all night if someone remembered to toss a log at it every so often, but Finn wouldn't call this anything impressive yet.

He placed a few more strategic logs and nudged them carefully, coaxing the flames to catch. When they did and the fire grew larger still, Finn turned to the girls gathered around the fire pit. "How's it look?" he asked, waggling his eyebrows unconvincingly.

Pushing himself away from the pit, Finn hopped to his feet and dusted off his hands against his swim trunks. "I think that's good enough for right now, anyways," he added. Good enough for s'mores, at least. When it got a bit later he'd chance making the fire bigger.

Mission accomplished, he reached for his backpack. "I've got Coronas!"

Griffn snorted. She did too, but it didn't look like she would, as she was a rather paltry excuse for a senshi. She rolled her eyes for good measure at his proclamation. "Then I look forward to you getting weird and meta-philosophical again tonight." She then stuck out her tongue and pulled up her nose to give herself a snout. "Sucks to your a**-mar!" Wait, Ralph said that. Whatever.

In a low voice so only Finn could hear and a mischievous smile to match her offer, she said, "Let's take a shot for every piece of clothing we see drop. Good idea? Yeah?" She wagged her canteen in his face to make the swishing noises as though she really had to remind him of what was inside. She pat him on the head. "Yes, yes, we all owe you so much. And it looks great."

She looked around at the other girls who had gathered around her friend. How strange that the ladies flocked to him. Or maybe it was the beer. She'd probably never know.

Devi had no ******** clue what Jack was singing, or what he was singing about, but she figured it was some pop music. But as he jumped up with the bottle of wine in his hand, she leapt up after him. Partially to chase him around – after all, she had a crush on the boy – but also because she did want some of that wine back. She snatched the bottle straight out of his hands and took a long…far too long…way, way too long swig of the wine. It was at least a solid glass and a half of wine in a matter of seconds.

She nearly had to burp, but was ladylike enough to cover her mouth first and keep her belch to as soft of a nice as possible, although it was all still noticeable. She was less embarrassed by the belch, however, than she was about how much wine she had quickly drank. That wouldn’t feel so good later.

“Sorry, didn’t want you to hog all of the good stuff,” she smiled as she offered the bottle of wine back to him and the other girl.

Finn cracked the cap off his beer with a key-chain bottle-opener and took a swig. "I wouldn't have it any other way." He grinned wickedly at Griffin and took a swig of corona, entirely too self-satisfied for this early in the evening. This kind of grin was supposed to be reserved for after you stumbled back from the kissing cave. Or while you were trying to get someone there, which Finn clearly was not trying to put the moves on Griffin, so the grin was just kind of confusing.

"I bet..." he said, gesturing with his bottle to the girls he saw gathering. "Hot exchange student goes nude first, but only because she was going to wind up that way anyways." He pointed out the green-haired Brazillian girl a few yards down the beach. Nudging Griffin, he added, "She seems like the type, right?"

Not that it really mattered one way or the other to Finn whether any of the girls wound up naked tonight, but he could trash talk with the best of them. He traded his Corona to Griffin in exchange for her canteen of happy juice.

"SOMEONE BLAST SOME TUNES OR I'M GONNA HAVE TO SING," he yelled. "AND YOU DO NOT WANT ME TO HAVE TO SING."

The sad part of all this being that Finn wasn't even drunk yet.

"Milk chocolate is perfect," she replied cheerfully. "Though, you should try it with Reese's peanut butter cups sometime, it's fantastic," she shared thinking about the first time she had ever tried it. Still, plain original smores were still her favorite, probably always would be. She did have quite the sweet tooth after all.

When asked about her eyes she giggled softly, everyone wanted to know if they were real or not and she never minded when she was asked. "Real," she replied with a firm nod. "Pretty cool huh? Never met anyone else with heterochromia either," she was practically beaming at this point. "So far I'm one of a kind, well at least as far as people go."

She turned on her heel and headed back towards the pile of firewood.
