Crown listened to her words, and she got upset he couldn't help his reaction. He leaned in and nuzzled her softly, it was something he did for his herdmates all the time and so was natural.... he just hoped the other mare saw it for what it was, an act of kindness and comfort. Eventhough he could see she was upset Crown didn't interupt her until she finished speaking, he knew that not everyone had a 'happy story', knew from simply watching Drashi that pining over someone missing could be worst than if you knew them to be dead. At least if they were dead you were not left wondering if you could still make it work... how you could fix things.... change things.... it was only a comfort that Drashi had slowly started to smile again, and he suspected that this 'Serenity' of his was doing wonders towards that.
"I am sorry to hear that," He said when he eventually spoke, "I couldn't imagine my siblings ever allowing me not to speak to them...." They were all so different, Paris was a flirt and in Crowns opinion a bit of a womaniser, where as Eden was quite and prefered to be on her own.... or Orion her mate.... and Crown? Well he just was, the one that tried to glue everyone together, to smile and be happy all of the time... though he really wanted something for himself. Nothing much.... just something. He shook his head of such thoughts, knowing that thinking it wouldn't help anything.
Smiling at her he tried to see if he could make her smile to, "Well... perhaps your mother is a princess then, brought from a distant land by a lover a long time ago only to lose them? Maion has often told me how great pain and sadness can lead to forgetting things..... " he nuzzled her softly again, "....even if your Mother doesn't ever find out the truth at least she has you."

Sayoko loved the feel of him nuzzling her, she knew it wasn't how she wanted it to mean but just for comfort. She began to think about flirting with him and wondering where that would get her if anywhere. "That sounds like an interesting idea, maybe it is true." She smiled at him, trying to reassure him that she was over it. "I'm more interested in finding my own lover of sorts." She smiled and winked at him, she figured she would bet it all, she could either go home a winner or come back a looser. Either way there were always more stallions in the world for her to pick from, she grinned at him as she got closer and nuzzled him back.

To say that Crown freaked out inside would be an understatement, he had only meant to comfort the mare but it seemed that she had misinterpretted his intent. He coughed and pulled back, a bright red blush covering his cheeks so bright he was sure his brother Paris would call him a tomarto. "Em... I.... eh...." He coughed again and looked away from her, not sure what to do or say. His training as a protector had never covered this, and his lessons with his father and mother had only mentioned the bird and the bees and the basic's of relationships.... nothing about letting someone down gently. If only Paris was here, he would know what to say or do.
As it was Crown was on his own, clueless and feeling like a blundering fool.
For lack of anything else to say he found himself bursting out, "Good luck with that..." He didn't mean it as any disrespect, for he truely did hope she found her 'lover' as she described it, he truely believed that everyone deserved such a thing, something to call their own.... but Crown knew, he was not it. No mare had ever really caught his attention, though no one of any origin had.... he was simply alone, surrounded by beautiful creatures but with no inclination to reach out to them.

Yoko did smile with happiness when she listened to the stallion fumble over his words and the blush didn't make it any better for him. She had him right where she wanted him but yet again he surprised her with the words that came next. Hearing him down right refuse her made her a little angry, but at the same time a little sneaky. She began to pout and get teary eyed. She started to sniffle and turned away from him, she wanted to make him think he upset her a great deal.
Her long black tail was still as her ears twitched trying to hear him if he made any movement towards her. She began to making louder sobbing sounds and let her shoulders sag as if she was in some kind of horrible despair. Sayoko was hoping that he would feel bad for refusing her and if he didn't well she would make him pay, a smile crossed her lips before fading again just in case he was moving in front of her. Her eyes were closed and she was actually making herself cry, but it wasn't his refusal that was on her mind making her cry, it was something far worse. In her mind and heart, she was truly terrified of never finding anyone who would put up with her and wondered if she should try and change her ways. Just thinking about trying to change her ways was what was making this diva sob.
