Yeah, I'm going to have to get all my books from Amazon since all the book stores near me went out of business. ;~;
I just checked and Amazon has Temple of the Cosmos for $15 if you have the money/can order stuff online.
I don't have any money or I would have. All the money I had went to my phone bill so I was trying to get all the books from the library. Speaking of I have to go to the library Monday. Did you want me to send you my notes while I'm there? Or I'm thinking of possibly setting up a thread somewhere in the guild so others have access to it too.
A thread sounds like a great idea. A good way to help others and possibly a good way to brain storm and share ideas. 3nodding
Not to sound like a broken record, but I just want to say thank you again, I really appreciate this.
Don't worry about it. You're welcome. We all start somewhere. I love helping people as best I can.

Since I'm doing this for both of you I want tour input on what you would want to see in the thread in case I missed something. Right now I have it set up as follows:
Intro
Cosmogony/Core Myths
Breaking Down the Core Myths(as in the different creator deities, solar deity, etc)
More Myths
Deities
Ma'at vs Isfet
The Ba and Ka
Death and Funeral Rites
The Afterlife
Symbols
Heka
Rituals
Glossary
Sources/Recommended Reading List

I don't have informations yet on all of these topics but I figured they're important enough that I'd eventually get to them(like I'm in no hurry to start working Heka(magic) without more knowledge first). And while I'm setting it up if you feel I've missed something or you want me to add something just contact me with it. I'm still learning too.

And sorry if I sounded testy. I don't mean to be.

That looks like a good list to me. smile

For myself, I'm most interested in the philosophy and worldview of Kemeticism, so things like ma'at, ka & ba, &c, rather than the Gods, and mythology. But for someone who wants to be a Kemetic, they're probably just as important.

Also, for finding books, have you asked if your library can get them on interlibrary loan? They might be able to get the book for you from another library. Also, especially for more academic books, if you're in college or university, I know universities here have a system where, if you're a student, you can get books from other university libraries.

No it's okay.
The list looks fine, I can't think of anything to add at the moment, but if I do I'll let you know.

At the current time I can only use the public library and that library is connected to 30 other libraries(love the person who started the Clevnet system) but for some reason out of our 31 libraries none of them have Temple of the Cosmos and some of them are connected to two college campuses(not including the one I go to since that library sucks and can't check out the stuff upstairs and it's small so they rely on all the other libraries in the system). Plus I think with the way our college works you have to be writing some paper on it. I don't know I kinda hate the college I go to.

I'm glad you guys are ok with the list. I might walk down to the library to get it started(being lazy though cuz I walked all yesterday so I'll probably wait for my mom or sister to get home).
