So, staying in the house, do you think you'd prefer to do some sort of video exercise program, or get equipment like some kind of glider, or..? It's good to come up with a plan, and then MAKE yourself stick to it. Hard, I know, it takes motivation and commitment, but will never get done otherwise!

Something I'll suggest Lizzy is a mini-trampoline. not only aare they are good source of exercize, but are also often suggested to diabetics because of the foot problems that come with it. With your current problem, this might help?

ooh yes! a trampoline!! see that's the sort of thing i meant when i said exercise should be fun! i'd just adore to have a trampoline, fawN when you say glider do you mean one of these?
i've played about on these in sports shops and they're fun! non impact too which is always good! i have one of those inflatable gym balls which i sit on and bounce up and down on sometimes, it makes me giggle. Exercise should definitely be about playing and having fun..or relaxing and chilling out. I'd forgotten about fawN's tai-chi, i find that enormously appealing, anything of that sort calms and focuses you brilliantly, leaving you feeling all serene and mellow 3nodding
nearly forgot to mention! i have lost 8lb!! *faints* keeping my fingers crossed that it stays off, my weight will often drop by this much then go back up again within the space of a week, independent of anything i do or eat seemingly! confused

That is excellent Jelly. I'm not doing so well right now. I have no motivation to watch what I am eating not the energy to exercise. I felt so good when I was but I just can't bring myself to get off my duff and do it.

put the radio on and dance round the kitchen when you clean Roo, lifting your mood in the first place is very important, feeling happier gives you loads of motivation, lack of music is often a problem for me, i have no stereo or radio, got the media player on my pc and that's it, i hardly ever remeber to use it though. but when i do i sit here gigging about in the chair and singing away(pity the people walking beneath my winodw outside rofl ) and it really makes me feel happier, i seem to remember you saying you liked country music, you could do line dancing as exercise!
EDIT just put some music on now 3nodding Van morrison-Brown eyed girl

I love to line dance and we even have a place here that offers that. The problem is that there are a bunch of teens that go there or younger adults that just want to get drunk (it's BYOB) and cause trouble. I could do that here if I can just get up and do it. I also have a couple exercise videos that are really good. I would really like to have a good beginner yoga tape.

I have probably mentioned this so much people *might* be tired of hearing about it, but... I would LOVE to own a GEEK Cycle, AND I just discovered that they are actually not to cost prohibitive... not nearly what I thought they would be! (of course, shipping is likely to be another matter) http://www.slimgeek.com

By 'glider' yes I do mean something like that, but there are so many different varieties, some standing, some sitting, some just legs, some arms too, some where you push with your legs and pull with your arms, or push with both arms and legs simultaneously, or where you alternate and do walking/swinging motions. All very fun, and low impact.

simlizzy I have probably mentioned this so much people *might* be tired of hearing about it, but... I would LOVE to own a GEEK Cycle, AND I just discovered that they are actually not to cost prohibitive... not nearly what I thought they would be! (of course, shipping is likely to be another matter) http://www.slimgeek.com OMG i love that idea! I have started trying tai chi in the past 2 days. I ran across a "beginning tai chi" on the universityhouse channel and decided to record it to check it out...plus David Carradine has a weekly tai chi show on PBS. I breezed thru lesson 1 on beginning tai chi but lesson 2 has a form that i'm finding difficult. I felt so much better after just the 30 minutes or so that I did the past 2 days. And it's going to help center me so much in the next 5 weeks until the wedding. I have no grand plans to do anything to lose weight etc (mostly cuz I can't afford anymore alterations to my dress lol) just to try and get a little in shape. Hopefully this is the routine that will allow me to do so. Nothing else seems to work for me. And lizzy I totally understand the vicious circle. *hugs* Kevin doesn't understand it, but I feel so conspicuous walking down the street to go to the store etc.

magikjaz lizzy I totally understand the vicious circle. *hugs* Kevin doesn't understand it, but I feel so conspicuous walking down the street to go to the store etc. and so few people do! Hubby works with the same company I used to work for, and in all the time since i quit (a year and a half?) I think he has only talked me into going in there two times... I do not want to think of them laughing behind his back, as if he should be ashamed of me, but in that year and a half, I put on *almost* all the weight I am now trying to lose again crying According to NutriSystems caluculations I should lose almost as much weight as what I should weigh... redface granted, they want me smaller than even I am comfortable with, but still, it is kid of embarassing to step out the door with the weight of almost a whole extra person inside my clothes now....

maybe we need something like that! fawN the personal trainer eek
come on Purkles..go for the BURN gonk
i just plod along, not gained any weight, but not lost any either, doldrums really rolleyes
coming off of the pill hasn't had any effect on my weight, but my cycle is stable which is nice! my skin was terrible when i first came off it, which i'd been expecting and dreading gonk not on my face, on my chest, was the same before i started taking the pill, but it's calmed down now, and more often than not i can wear my normal clothes and not have to rummage for a crew neck top to wear, good job as i don't like crew necks and only own 3! i've gone back to having to use a blemish controlling moisturiser on my chest to try and keep things looking normal, bit annoying because those products are loaded with chemicals, but i can't cope with horrible spotty flesh at my age!
