Kainda chuckled as his stony exterior seemed to return. So there was a way to break him. She continued to dance around him in an alluring manner, her hooves gently clopping against the stone ground, her hair and tail waving causing the fog to swirl around them.

The Phantom snorted and stepped in her way "Are you quite finished?" he asked disgusted, he could see what she was doing and couldn't believe that she thought it would work. "You still have to answer to me for being in my territory" he demanded and stomped a hoof. His voice was chilly and demanding once more, his deep blue eyes locked onto hers and dared her to defy him.

The mare flicked her ears a little almost closing her eyes, falling into the melody of her dance until she bumped into the Phantom. Her red eyes snapped open to his angry deep blues. She chuckled a little rolling her eyes. "No. I'm far from done." A snide smirk rippled over her maw as she suddenly shoved her way roughly from in front of him. Kainda was strong from her constant sparring and rough housing with the trees and others she has found along her travels. "I answer to no one." Her eyes challenged him as she suddenly bolted forward deeper into the Phantom's foggy territory."

The Phantom snorted as she shoved past him. He listened to her words and smirked. He loved a good chase, but he always won that was what was so fun. She thought she could win against him. He disappeared into the fog silently and followed her. His silent movements mimicked Kainda's own. The fog became thicker the more steps the mare took until it became so thick that it almost blinded Kainda completely to what was around her. Not even trees could be seen until she was already upon them. The Phantom watched the mare, he loved playing games only his games were never fair. To him that was half the fun, knowing that his prey could never win. "Don't get lost" his voice echoed through the forest not allowing the mare to pin point where he was.

Kainda sped forward slowing only when the fog began to thicken. She snorted now relying on her ears and hooves to get her through the fog. Kainda didn't scare easy for a warrior could never be scared - only wary. She made little noises trying to see if she could figure out where she was. The bats of her old world home used to do this, and she often mimicked them thinking the skill useful. However, it even seemed the fog was playing tricks on her. Whoever this Phantom was played dirty. Her eyes glowed a little as she heard his voice, her steps now cautious. She used her horn to strike out against anything that may be in front of her, but she couldn't protect everything at once.

An evil laugh rang out, echoing through the forest again. "I told you whoever trespassed into my territory would have to answer to me. I gave you your chance, now you're in my game" He was close behind her, knowing that being in front of the horned mare in complete fog was a bad idea. The stallion nipped at her rear and was gone before she could turn around. He wanted to get her deep in the forest, get her lost, and then leave her there. He would never actually be far off, he had to keep his prey in line but he wanted her to feel alone and closed in on all sides. He almost felt sorry for her, but he had given her a chance and she refused. So now he got to play with her, his favourite game. The forest seemed to move around her, echoing keeping her from using her learned echo location. The fog stayed thick and whipped around her face and eyes.

Kainda simply ignored his voice. She was drawing herself in, keeping her emotions in check. This was a mind game, and one that she would try to defend against. She felt the touch on her rump and immediately stopped not even lashing out. That's what he would want. Her eyes closed taking in the scents of the forest, but there was nothing but fog. It was starting to get hard to breath, her heart rate slightly starting to go up. No! Keep calm. Don't give in! The mare whickered gently slowly starting up again continuing to walk forward. She poked outward with her horn until she felt bark. She rubbed her body against the decaying tree until she felt like she had turned around. Then she started to go forward slowly, steadily still using her horn to guide her way, her ears perked forward. Don't concentrate on him. Concentrate on you. Kainda would not fall prey to this mad man.

A wicked smile spread across the stallion's face She's not as ignorant as she has been acting he thought as he watched her turn around. Leaving so soon? I think not! his thoughts were focused on her. He followed behind her again, this time not concealing his sounds knowing that the echos would throw her off. "My dear, you will never get out" he said loudly "Not until you succumb" he laughed again this time as he cantered by her. The woods echoed with his laugh again, but this time the trees groaned and creaked. A wind was picking up blowing this about, but the fog stayed blinding and suffocating the mare.

Kainda was slightly afraid as he suddenly came by her side. His mask made him look all the more wicked and sinister. Rakai would love this stallion. Then the idea came to her. "Why would I have to succumb? Why don't we join forces? There is one who is much like you that I am sure you would enjoy." The mare gave a brief chuckle keeping his pace and her attention toward him. "Think on it...a dark heart that's as sinister as your dark thoughts."

The stallion snorted She's much faster than she lets on he thought to himself as he stopped on a dime and disappeared into the fog again "What you fail to realise is that you're being punished. I warned you, I was even nice to you" his voice was thick with disdain "And yet you disobeyed me, and you did it with blatant disregard." His voice echoed again through the woods as the fog became thicker. "I do not need to meet anyone else. I work alone, I always have" his voice was softer this time. He whinnied and spoke again "I can leave you lost in the fog forever" he paused as an evil smirk spread across his face "You are mine to do with as I please"

"Oh please. This is all in my mind. You're not punishing me. You're punishing yourself. You enjoy the pain of others because you are in pain. You only think I'm disobeying you. As I said before, I answer to no one." He was really starting to piss her off. How dare he think he can control her. "You are alone because you allow yourself to be alone." Her eyes were fierce as she simply began to walk ignoring him. Sure sticks hit her legs and she bumped into trees, but she refused to play his games. " I refuse to be yours. Find some other little filly to be your play doll." The mare kicked up her legs and hooves determined to get out of the fog.

The forest was silent, except for a few echos of Kainda's voice. The fog persisted, only getting worse as she walked. The trees ached and groaned as the mare walked through the forest, no signs of life for her to hear or follow. The wind blew and either the trees were groaning louder or the wind carried a laugh faintly to her ears. The sun was setting, allowing the forest to darken more than it had been. With no sun pushing through the tree tops the fog became complete darkness. The moon either could not penetrate the fog or it was absent in the sky.

Kainda noticed there were no voices to be heard save for the groaning of the trees. There were even no animals in this dark, barren place. And when the sun went down...it made things worse. Even her good eyes were becoming hindered in this fog. And she was growing tired of moving. The mare now sought a place to rest using her horn to poke and prod for a tree. She soon seemed to find one and without much hesitation, she settled down curling her body against the wood. She rested her head in a position to defend her face, her horn sticking out dangerously. The mare felt slight uneasiness creep upon her as she closed her eyes. She'd sleep off her aggression and when she awoke, she would figure out another solution to this devilish puzzle.

The Phantom watched the mare lay down. What a magnificent mare she was, such beautiful colours and that horn! He always liked admiring the mares, but she was much more beautiful here, lost in his woods and without a hope in the world of escaping without him. He stood close to her as she slept but did not stay long. He did not want his scent to linger or wake her up. The wind picked up again and rustled the trees, bringing with it the scents of the animals that were near the forest. The Phantom always scanned the wind for the smell of a mare or someone he did not recognize. He let her sleep, knowing that she was smart enough to try his little puzzle another way.

The wind rustled her frame, her body starting to twitch as she woke. Her body began to shiver as some of the fog went to dew on her coat. Her ears flicked, eyes slowly opening with the fog being as thick as ever. The mare rose slowly making sure to stretch her limbs and keep her body light. Kainda was thirsty and a little bit of food wouldn't be bad either. Her nostrils flared taking in the scent of the animals...and the Phantom. Had he been here while she slept? Her skin shuddered at the thought as she began to walk slowly through the fogged forest.
