"Well its good to have a goal." she said before giggling with the other girl. "We would look pretty silly." Taoshira was finally dried off and her back was warm from the sun. She walked over to where Mercedes was and stood by her, lendin what little bit of shade she could to the girl...if she wanted it. Tashi didn't know if she would or not, but with her black coat she though she would be getting pretty hot by now.

"Do you wanna come see my fort? It's awesome!" she said bouncing up and motioning towards the forest. She smiled and began to head towards the tree line. She couldn't wait to show her new found friend what she had found and was now using as her home.

"Of course!!" Tashi said enthusiastically as she ran after the other girl. "How far is it into the forest? Is there anybody we should be worried about in there?" She was talking more than normal but she was excited so she let herself be a little more out going than normal.

Mercedes giggled "I've never seen anyone there but me, I don't know how the fort was made but it's awesome!" she replied. They were drawing closer, Mercedes could tell because the forest was getting thicker. They soon came out into a clearing of sorts, still inside the forest but many of the gigantic trees had fallen each on top of the other, creating a sort of 'den' which Mercedes had been sleeping in. The trees, long since dead, were sturdy and mostly branchless now as the wind and animals had broken them off. "Wanna come in?" she asked walking through the large entrance

Tashi giggled with Mercedes as she followed her into the clearing. "Whoa...its awesome!!! You've been living here? This is sooo much cooler than my little spot." She took in all the little details: how the trees were laying on each other, how there was no branches, and just how pretty it all looked. "Sure." She said enthusiastically.

Mercedes nodded and snorted, trying to expel the cobweb from her nostril. "Ya, I just found it by accident" she replied "Wanna stay here with me?" she looked away from the filly and played with a rock obviously nervous she would say no. "it's really big and I don't need all this space" she added

Tashi looked around, it looked really neat inside. She heard the nervousness in Mercedes' voice when she offered her to stay there. "It would be awesome to stay here with you Mercedes. I'm sure we will have lots of fun together." She said with a smile.

Mecedes' face suddenly lit up with happiness. She was pleased that her friend was coming to stay! "YAY! THIS'LL BE AWESOME!" she exclaimed as she ran and bucked happily. "We can go exploring, and all sorts of things!"

"Yes it will be!" Tashi said happily. "I've never had a friend my age so this will definitely be awesome!!" She was so excited and a billion things were rushing through her head of what they could do together. They would be best friends.

(let me know when Tashi grows, I would like them to stay the same age!) Mercedes smiled and said "Have you explored much of this forest? I know of the creepiest place" She giggled and threw her head in the direction of the woods she was speaking of. She knew that she would never go there alone. It always felt like she was being watched but with a friend she felt like they could conquer anything!

(I completely understand. I want that too. Hopefully Azzy will grow her soon so that will be good. smile )
"I don't normally explore creepy places but I think as long as we have each other we'll be fine! And I haven't explored this forest much, but I have done lots of exploring. Since you know this forest show me all the best places!!" Tashi said excitedly. She couldn't help but be excited that she'll get to do everything with her best friend now.

Mercedes nodded excitedly and whinnied before she trotted out of the hiding place. "It's this way" she said and motioned with her head the way they would be going. She slowly walked through the forest, doing her best to be as quiet as possible. She knew someone, or something had been watching her last time this time she wanted to catch it off guard. As they walked the light began to be cut off, the forest was getting thicker and allowing less and less light through. A small layer of fog covered the ground now, it swirled around their hooves as they walked.

Tashi followed her friend through the forest. She watched each and every step as the forest brush became dense. It was clear that Mercedes had traveled this way before from her expertly placed steps while Tashi kept stumbling. When fog began to seep out of the eerie forest and started winding around their hooves was when Tashi felt her hide shiver. Something didn't seem quite right. Maybe it was just being out in the forest at night and the fog definitely wasn't helping. She finally decided it was just her imagination at work.

"Creepy isn't it?" she said with a giggle "Every time I come here the fog starts to get thicker" This was a game to her now, she had come every day for almost a month now and each time she got braver, moving deeper into the forest and it's fog. She thought, with a new friend, that she could maybe find out why the fog was always there. Maybe it was a vast lake that the fog came off of and consumed the forest. "I think the fog is made by a lake. Maybe we can find it!"[/b[

((Tashi is grown now!!! So do you wanna finish this one and do another one with them grown or what? Lol))
"Hmmm, there might be a lake. But we should definately try to find what is causing this fog because it is seriously creepy." Tashi said with a nervous laugh. She wondered how far into the forest they would go before they turned around and went back. Tashi wanted to find the source of the fog but she was also afraid of what else they might find in the process.
