Unver normal circumstances, Sailor Pasiphae would've gratefully (if modestly) acknowledged Polaris's praise, but at the moment she had graver concerns. Her bleeding palm stung slightly when the air touched it, but far more important was her companion. It was a horrible sight, a fellow Senshi who was literally risking limb in their current battle, with her arm in the jaws of the enemy. The shriek resonated in her ears, and the sight tore her gaze from the weapons she had been trying to search through.
She remembered her purpose at Polaris's urging, and a frantic searching of the pile. She emerged with a small but rather thick rod of metal. That just left her to try for a plan of attack... and she was stuck all over again. Pasiphae could go for the eyes or the throat, but either option seemed like it would make the situation worse--the badger-like youma could clamp down on the arm if the strike didn't immediately destroy it. "I... I don't want to hurt you," the less experienced Senshi blurted out, holding the metal rod in her uninjured hand and unsure of how to proceed. "I don't see how I can hit it... and it not hurt you..."

It wasn't.. quite as bad as the worrying senshi might have imagined. Really things could have (and at some points in the past definately had been) worse then they were. The bite hurt, like the dickens really. But the clamping jaws weren't strong enough to really break the arm and it kept his head busy at that. One quickly learned that an arm or a leg injury was far more prefered to a more lethal location.
Nonetheless, there was an obvious grimace of pain on Polaris' face as she continued. She could vaguely see what the other girl had, and she nodded, speaking a little quicker and sterner then she might have meant.
"Don't worry about it. Just hold it up and I can do the rest of the work."
"Just point the sharpest edge towards the youma and I'll do the rest. Don't worry"
Pole lofted Polaris did not hesitate in calling out the words that let her attack again. "Super magnetic field"
Within her hand the piece of metal began to tug and pull, seemingly trying to escape her grip. And when it did it flew at the monster with a vengence, hitting it with enough force to bury the small pipe deep inside the youma.
The youma yowled at the sudden pain, mouth openning in the pain howl, which gave Polaris enough time to back away, cradling her arm carefully with the other hand.
The badger youma made a sharp circle, as if trying to find what in the world was causing it so much pain and grief. It began to wobble on it's feet, obviously weakened from their onslaught.

Pasiphae took a deep breath to steady her nerves. Polaris wasn't panicking, and if the more experienced of the two wasn't panicking, then there must be no reason to panic. Right? Right.
Her fingers trembled slightly as she followed her ally's instruction, pointing the metal rod towards the creature. She wasn't quite prepared for the calling of Polaris's second attack--she sometimes forgot that as Senshi progressed they got more than one--and she almost curled her fingers instinctively around the rod to keep it from escaping. When it flew from her hand to dig into the youma, however, she was glad that she hadn't done so. Finally, it looked like they would be able to win!
Every instinct told her to go check on Polaris and be sure that she was alright, but Pasiphae fought those down. Finish off the youma first... then there would be time to assess the more experience Senshi's injury. She positioneed herself between the Eternal Senshi and the youma, calling upon her shield, "Pasiphae Shameful Isolation!"
Once the maroon energy shield settled into place, she shouted to Polaris, "Now... go ahead and finish it off!" She hoped this plan would work--she wasn't able to throw a shield around Polaris herself, but with the shield protecting Pasiphae, any flying metal should avoid hitting either her or the Eternal Senshi.

She was.. surprised to say the least when the other senshi didn't attempt to finish the job. Not necessarily because she thought her incapable of it.. or afraid.. even if she had thrown up her shield. It had more to do with the ego that accompanied so many of the other senshi she'd known throughout her years.
Polaris wasn't even 100% certain she could pull up the energy quickly enough to attack again so quickly. Usually she needed awhile to recharge. But sometimes neccessity and adreneline could give you the boost you needed.
"Magnetic field!" Her eyes closed a little as she tried, half to focus and half because she was afraid to see if it failed. It did work, but the power was obviously a little weaker, a little less wild from than the first time the attack had flown. The little pile of metal from the first attack already laying near the youma though created just enough of a barrage though that the wounded youma finally puffed into dust.
A sigh of relief as Polaris slowly peeled off her long glove, trying to inspect her wound. She cast a soft smile towards the other girl though, offering conversationally.
"That was a pretty tough one, it's a good thing there were two of us."

Polaris wasn't the only one relieved to see the creature finally turn into black dust--Pasiphae could feel the adrenaline beginning to fade away and cold sweat and fatigue were left in its wake. Oh, and a throbbing pain in her palm from where her makeshift knife had sliced open her skin. Without the excitement of battle, the pain was beginning to rise as well.
She hadn't really seen that the Eternal Senshi's power had weakened, still too impressed by an effective, offensive attack, but when she turned and saw Polaris inspecting her wound, a grave sense of guilt overcame her. "If you wait a few seconds, the shield'll go away... and I'll help you with that. I can't move outside of the area that it covers until it's gone. I'm sorry that you got hurt... is it really bad?"

"No, it's not so bad. It'll be alright atleast with a little peroxide and some painkillers. All part of the job." Polaris answered back softly as the other girl spoke, looking up to watch the shield curiously for a moment. The other girl couldn't just will it away? Not that that was so bad most of the time.
"Nothing broken, nothing vital hit." She reassured once more, both to the other girl and herself. Sure it was going to be sore for a bit, but at the end of the day a few punctures wasn't so bad. It was scary perhaps that THAT was the sign of a good battle and an okay injury though.
"What about you? Are you injured at all?"

The maroon energy that surrounded her finally fell, and Pasiphae rejoined her former position at Polaris's side. The Eternal Senshi might not have thought her injuries were all that bad, but the marks tore at the Shame Senshi's heart. She should've been able to prevent this, somehow. No one should have to get hurt. Okay, Pasiphae realized that was completely unrealistic; people were going to get hurt in battle. She had always known that, and she had suffered injuries herself. Just nothing... as severe as this.
Pasiphae followed Polaris's example and peeled the decorated glove off of her hand, wincing slightly as the split fabric rubbed against the cut on her palm. "A cut, from using the knife. Somewhat deep but... it'll be okay."

The eternal senshi inspected the other girl's injury softly for a moment, before finally nodding to her prognosis. It would definatley be okay.. just probably sore for awhile. As long as took care of it and kept it clean from infection.
That said...
Polaris was often one for rash decisions.. for making quick judgements. It was time for another one apparently.
"I'd say we've done enough for tonight, one tough youma off the streets. You want to come and get your hand cleaned up before you head home? My apartment isn't far from here"
The other girl didn't have to accept of course, hadn't they just had the conversation about identities. But it appeared that Polaris had made the decision that she could trust this one. New as she was. After all, it was actions that told what a person was really made of.

Pasiphae was... well, shocked at being so casually invited over to Polaris's apartment. If anything, she felt like she had bumbled a bit too much in this fight. She hadn't been able to keep the badger-like youma from injuring the Eternal Senshi, and her powers hadn't really contributed anything (in her mind) to the youma's defeat. Yet, the other Senshi was opening herself to her, offering to help tend to her wounds. Polaris probably didn't know how much that meant to the newbie Senshi, who had been dreading trying to sneak around her house hoping her parents wouldn't find out about her newest injury. Or, even more so, how much it meant... to be treated as one of a team.
Perhaps it was the latter of these sentiments that made Pasiphae agree. Chaonis had said to b careful about who knew her true identity. Polaris... seemed, much like Chaonis himself, like someone to entrust that information too. "I'd really appreciate it... if it isn't too much trouble. It'd save me an explanation when I get back home."

"It's no trouble at all" She reassured with a soft nod at the acceptance of her offer. "I have to pull out the stuff anyway and it'll be easier to wrap my own arm with an extra set of hands"
One last glance was cast to make sure the youma was indeed harmless dust, before she motioned for the other girl to follow.
The trip wasn't very far from where they'd been, ecspecially with their added senshi agility. A small set of apartments not far from the school districts lined the night sky, and Polaris was quick to lead the other senshi up the fire escape. "I just moved in recently so please don't mind the mess"
Sliding open the window the eternal senshi slipped inside, waiting for the other girl to enter as well before she'd close it and dehenshin, quickly digging out her oft used first aid kit.
The apartment was nice, simple, modern. Not too flashy but certainly not shabby either. Pretty obviously not something the ivory haired young adult could afford on her own.
Once she'd dug out what she needed, Aurora turned back to the other girl, motioning for her to follow.

The less experienced Senshi followed with only minor apprehension as the Eternal Senshi led the way. It wasn't that she didn't trust Polaris or was worried about the youma suddenly coming back from its dusty grave. It was just that... well, she didn't visit all that many people's homes outside of business reasons, and certainly never to help bandage wounds from a supernatural fight.. She just wasn't sure how best to conduct herself.
When they arrived at the apartment, Pasiphae gingerly stepped through the window, taking a glance around the apartment and found it rather nice. Not that her own home was shabby or anything, but there something about an apartment... it being a little home in itself and independent from a family unite that added an extra allure to it. She stepped away from the window and leaned against the wall as an extra measure to be sure she was concealed before powering down. The glamour of Sailor Pasiphae slipped away and left behind only Penelope Seneca. .
Penelope self-conciously smoothed down the front of the mint green cotton dress she had been wearing prior to her transformation and continued to hug the wall, asking softly, "Is there anything I can do to help?"

It certainly wasn't strange for her to feel uncomfortable. This sort of thing usually didn't happen this quick at all. Many times senshi would work together for months without ever knowing the other person. But there had been something about Pasiphae that had appealed to Polaris. A kindred spirit that poked at her urge to well.. make more friends, because it was one thing that the senshi of magnetism wasn't very good at.
The girl underneath Sailor Polaris was Aurora Namid. 18 and tall, ivory hair framing tanned skin. Her blouse and skirt was modest and almost pristinely pressed. When she turned back and saw a senshi no longer, she offered another soft smile. "When we get in the bathroom you can wet a sponge if you like. Depending on how deep our wounds are it might feel better to dab them then just run the water directly over them."
"I'm Aurora by the way, when I'm not being Polaris.." It did seem that way alot of the times, that her alter ego had taken over and swallowed her old identity. The other girl didn't look familiar so she guessed they probably hadn't gone to the same school or anything.
Once they'd reached the bathroom she laid out the bandages and creams on the counter, working to unscrew the peroxide bottle. "Do you live too far away from here? I can try to help you get a taxi or find the nearest bus station if not." She sadly did not have a car or licsence. It just wasn't necessary in a school town and city like Destiny City.

"Penelope. Penelope Seneca," came the somewhat mousy reply. Penelope looked all of her sixteen years, and without the glamour of the henshin she was fairly normal looking teenager. Her hair was shorter, less styled, and her face far plainer. She gave a soft smile as she followed her hostess into the bathroom "It's nice to meet you... again, Aurora."
Penelope thought about how to get home only when Aurora asked. The trip to meet Polaris after recieving the call seemed like a small lifetime ago, and it took her a minute to think about how long it would take her to get home without the added speed that the henshin lent her. Yes... a ride home would probably be needed. "A bus would probably work better; I think my parents would be a bit more concerned if a taxi suddenly showed up with me inside. Um... assuming they're still awake, of course."
She was more interested in being useful than anything, so she nervously approached the medical supplies, "Should we tend to your arm, first? I don't think it'll be that hard to wrap up my hand."

"The pleasure is all mine" She was adorable, all her mousiness tugging at Aurora's ever present need to mother and coddle. Luckily they had a task at hand, otherwise she might have fussed over the little girl for awhile first.
"I was always very lucky in that regard." She stated matter of factly, thinking over the other girl's challenge. "I've been staying at the dorms in Crystal Academy since I first moved here and it was fairly easily to sneak past the dorm monitiers. Even when I got a roommate she was a senshi too so there was no need to try and hide our late night outings from each other" Her mind went to Rose for a moment as she was mentioned. She really would miss the spicy girl.
"Sounds good" She nodded softly to Penelope's suggestion, holding out her own arm for them to inspect under the light. It didn't look much different than a dog bite, which would be convienent if anyone ended up seeing it. There were half a dozen shallow punctures with a bit of blood trickling from them. Holding her arm out over the sink, she pointed softly to the peroxide.

"Oh... I go to Crystal Academy too, though I don't live in the dorms." Why it struck Penelope as strange she couldn't say; she just... rarely thought about how other Senshi might go to the same school as her. She wondered now how many she had passed in the hallways without noticing... especially if they were living in the dorms together.
Penelope opened a cabinet and took out a towel. The first she wet with just water, cleaning the excess blood and any grime away. She then took the peroxide and poured a liberal amount over Aurora's now clean puncture wounds. Her maroon eyes were completely focused on the task, but her mind was already racing on the upcoming steps. Disinfecting the wound was a good first step, though, and saved her from having to bring up too much casual conversation.
