"That's OK!" Tomoko smiled at Shun. "I figured I'd offer anyways. In case you wanted it." She took no note of the fact he seemed to have no confidence on the front of his spelling abilities. Japanese was one of those languages where one little thing could mess up everything. So picky.

But she didn't mind.

She beamed at Junko, smiling. "You're welcome! I'll show you how to do ink drawings when we go to my house!" she beamed. Tomoko was positively excited over the idea of having someone her age to play with at home. Even if there would likely be some little-kid sitting to be had with her baby twin siblings. But no matter!

Tomoko took a moment to get a fresh piece of paper and fold a crane from it, offering it out to the reaper ghoul, Hel with a smile. "One thousand to make a wish come true. Here is one to get you started!" she beamed, before turning to take up another piece of card stock and her brush.

It was three quick brush strokes before she offered it to the young woman.

"He-Ru." she pointed at one symbol, then the other, pronouncing it out loud for her. "We do not have the 'LU' sound," even her own pronunciation of it was a bit tinted with the 'ru', "So this is as close as it comes. Hope you don't mind!" she smiled all the while. The glitter hardly bothered her.

Finally looking up Mitsu spotted the glitter on Junko as well. She wasn't sure what to make of it though she had heard bad things about the substance. Something about reproducing and being hard to get rid of.

With a tilt of her head she looked at Tomoko, "I..if you want to write my name. It's Mitsu. I...I don't know enough of the written language to know if there is kanji or not." She stuttered here and there but it seemed she was getting a little better at talking without such a problem.

Curious to who the wolf ghoul was that Tomoko was talking about Mitsu took the taiyaki from Shun. This...involved removing her mask in public. There seemed to be quite a bit of hesitation on the matter as she stared at the item longingly. It looked really good though she had no idea what it was. Finally she reached up and pushed her mask up just enough so that she could have a bite of the item.

The actual shell of the taiyaki was good but as soon as the 'filling hit her mouth Mitsu paused in her chewing. ....what....was this? Chewing a bit more the lupine forced a swallow finally looking down at the taiyaki to see what was inside. W...was that dirt? What should she say? Did people really eat these with this sort of filling? If so it would be rude to point it out. "I...it's good?" She mumbled though from the sounds of it she was trying to get the taste out of her mouth. "W..what flavor did you get?" She asked Shun since it seemed he liked his.

Tomoko took up her brush again when Mitsu seemed interested in having her name written, pausing to think for a moment. "There are a lot of Kanji's for 'Mitsu', Mitsu-san." she was careful to not use 'chan' out of habit with Junko. However, after a moment she made an 'Oh!' face and started to write.

"This one is a good one. It's the one they use for 'Honey'." she nodded, finding it to be a good Kanji. "It's also the prettiest looking one." she explained as she offered it out to the canine girl who seemed to be fussing with if she should have been wearing her mask or not. Tomoko seemed to not mind either way, just beaming.

Finishing up his taiyaki, Shun brushed the crumbs off of his fingers before glancing at Junko. The girl seemed to be pretty enthusiastic and she also helped explain who the 'wolf lady' Tomoko had mentioned. Not to mention, considering all the little things she had at her booth, she seemed to be pretty damn willing to push for her goal. That was respectable.

Nodding to Tomo and her response, he glanced over at the taiyaki and decided to take another one. He had almost forgotten how good these things were. There weren't a great deal of street vendors at home and his dad sure as hell didn't make any.

Before taking a bite, he glanced to Mitsu and her name. He didn't look too hard at the latter, however.

"I had a chocolate one," he said. The girl didn't seem... completely pleased with the one he had snagged for her, "What about you?"

Taking a bite of the new taiyaki, he had the pleasant surprise of having a sweet bean paste filling.

"Do you make the fillings as well?" he asked Junko.

Looking away from her dirt filled taiyaki Mitsu turned to Tomoko and took the card. "Oh wow." She had never seen her name written out like this before. Her guardian didn't know any japanese so she had never really had a chance to learn. "I like it. Thank you very much." The smile was present in her voice as she turned back to Shun.

"C..chocolate?" W...was this supposed to be chocolate? She didn't remember chocolate tasting like this....would she be sick later? "I..I don't know..." She admitted poking at her taiyaki too leery to try another bite. "I..it kind of tastes like....umm...d..dirt." She said the last word softly, she didn't want to sound mean about it if it was meant to be that way. The lupine had never had food like this before and different creatures certainly enjoyed...different things.

"Alright!" Junko chirped and put the pink sticks back, placing the purple ones on the table so she could roll up her sleeves. More glitter rained down as she did and she sighed. Stupid glitter. Even Hel was still finding the stuff, apparently. "It's alright, I understand completely. I'm going to need so many baths to get this stuff out of my hair." She whined at the thought, refusing to look at the hair she knew was still sparkling like Christmas Town snow in the moonlight, a substance just as vile as this glitter. Ugh. Junko shuddered at the memories of being in Christmas Town. That was something she was going to try and fight against having a repeat of; trips like the ones to Christmas Town and that island. Why couldn't they have nice field trips in Halloween? Or non-lethal ones in the human world to see what humans were like? Learn more about them? But that was a matter for another time. Right this second she just needed to win over everyone to vote for her. That was going to be a challenge. Junko gestured for Hel to join her and Tomoko behind the booth, patting an empty chair that she had been occupying not too long ago. This would be easier with her sitting! "Come, come. Your hair is so pretty! I can't wait to play with it!" And play with it she would! Her fingers would immediately set to combing through Hel's hair the moment she was settled, gently working out any possible tangles from having been braided up.

"That would be very nice of you, Tomoko~. I still have those pictures you drew of us!" They were silly doodles but she loved those silly doodles. Junko was just as excited as Tomoko this being her first time staying at a friend's house; it was one thing to spend the night in their dorm, it was an entirely different matter to stay at their house. And for more than just a night, too! It was hard to sleep with such thoughts on her mind. She didn't want to sleep! Too much fun to be had! She set to work on playing with Hel's hair, humming thoughtfully as she tried a few half-styles to get an idea of what to do. Hel had less hair to work with than Junko was used to but she was willing to take the challenge!

She didn't notice that Mitsu looked uncertain of the taiyaki she had just eaten, though her hesitation on complimenting the food did get a reaction. Junko blinked, a bit of hair raising with curiosity as she turned her head to see what they were talking about. Her eyes fell on the taiyaki.

"Is that..." No. No way. It couldn't be. She glanced at the taiyaki Shun was eating. He seemed pleased. What was this? "I did...I made ten of them." Junko looked down at Hel's hair, taking a small section of white to begin braiding it. What had she made.. "Custard, sweet bean paste, red bean paste, I even made a green tea paste...there's one with peanutbutter, then there's some strawberry-filled ones, jelly...sausage, chocolate..." Junko tied off the braid and turned away to reach across the booth toward Mitsu.

"Let me see that?" Junko frowned, taking the taiyaki from the ghoul and picking at the filling. This was definitely dirt. "I don't understand. I didn't...I swear I didn't make dirt-filled ones. I swear! I would never..! How did...I'm so sorry, Mitsu. Um. Here...try this one." The tainted taiyaki was set aside to be tossed in the garbage later and Junko looked over the rest of the taiyaki. Hmmm! Maybe if she got a fresh one from under the table? Junko did just that, disappearing behind the booth for a moment to bend down and look underneath the table itself behind the tablecloth. The ghoul then popped back up, offering what she prayed to Jack was a good taiyaki. "This one should be good. I have no idea how a dirt one got here."

"I..It's okay." So...dirt wasn't supposed to be the flavor. That was a relief to know but it also rose the question, how had it gotten there in the first place? Looking to Junko curiously Mitsu watched the ghoul disappear under the table for a moment before she popped back up a fresh taiyaki in her hands.

Taking the treat Mitsu looked it over thoughtfully. It didn't really look that much different than the last. Hopefully this one would have something tasty inside. The list of one's Junko had made certainly sounded good.

Moving her mask aside Mitsu took a tentative bite of the taiyaki expecting something to be off. Instead she was pleasantly surprised with the flavor of strawberries. As soon as the flavor hit her tongue she began to eat a little more enthusiastically. "This one is good." Her smile could be partially seen as she continued to eat, though she did well to keep the rest of her face hidden.

Shun frowned when Mitsu said it tasted like dirt. A dirty look was shot over towards Junko for some sort of explanation. Surely she didn't seriously make a dirt filled taiyaki. It did seem that this was a bit of a misunderstanding, considering Junko was now freaking out a little over this.

Though, the other flavors she listed did sound pretty good.

Warily, he watched as she gave Mitsu another and relaxed when she seemed to like whatever it was.

Taking another bite of the sweet bean paste one, he paused and glanced to the masked wolf girl.

"Did you want to try some of this one? It has sweet bean paste inside," he explained before glancing at Junko, "Ingredient mixed up perhaps?"

As Hel shook her hair out a bit and unraveled it, she watched Tomoko fold a new paper crane with fascination. It seemed like such a fragile art…working with paper to make it resemble a bird. She took it from the kitsune carefully after she finished, as if her fingers might break it. “A thousand for a wish?” She hummed softly as she then carefully tucked it into an apron pocket. The reaper then watched, with more awe, as Tomoko then wrote out her name in three brush strokes to form a few symbols she had never seen in her entire life.

The ghoul blinked as she took the cardstock, looking over the symbols. She nodded her head a bit dumbly. It wasn’t like she had any facts to back this up to, so she would just take the kitsune’s word for it! The ghoul seemed really sweet; it wasn’t like she was trying to make a fool out of the reaper or anything. “Thank you.” She replied happily, grinning down at the ghoul.

Hel smiled at Junko sympathetically, seeing that the ghoul was still suffering from the glitter rain as well. The reaper paused for a moment before following Junko’s wishes and coming around the table to take the seat that she had been using prior. She seemed to flush with pride when Junko commented on how pretty her hair was as she settled into the chair. She sat nicely for the ghoul as she felt her fingers begin to work through her hair. Her dual gaze shifted back to Tomoko, where she then held a hand out to the kitsune. Might as well since she was here, right? “It’s nice to meet you, I’m Hel.” While Hel let Junko work and braid her hair, she quietly listened and watched what was going on around them, quietly observing Shun and Mitsu.

The new taiyaki was certainly much better than the last and Mitsu managed to finish it in no time. Licking the crumbs from her fingers she looked over toward Shun when he offered her a bite of his. "Sweet bean paste?" She had never had that before.

Taking the taiyaki Mitsu shifted her mask once again to take a bite out of the pastry. Her ears seemed to perk as she chewed, though the rest of her expression was a mystery. "Oo, this one it good too." She smiled up at the reaper before pulling her mask back into place and holding up the treat for him to take back. "Have you had these before?"

Junko continued to pray to Jack quietly in her head, watching Mitsu expectantly as she took that hesitant little bite out of the taiyaki she had offered her. If it was another tainted one she was going to feel so bad. Why had there even been a dirt-filled one here to begin with?!

A watching gnome snickered to itself and ran off to tell its friends their mischief had paid off. If elected Vice President Junko would do make Gnome Kicking a school-wide activity. She had a feeling no one would be opposed to this.

As Mitsu began to get less cautious and more excited about eating Junko's eyes widened and she smiled, her hair beginning to puff with pride. Oh, good! She was so glad! She breathed a sigh of relief, only just then realizing she'd been holding her breath, and scratched at her cheek. "I'm so sorry about the dirt one, Mitsu. I really am. I have no idea how it even got in there." Who would do such a thing?! She hadn't left this booth for even a second, and Tomoko would never..! Shun's suggestion had a point, but she still couldn't...figure it out. Junko frowned a little and looked down at the taiyaki, picking one up and breaking it open to see what was inside. Green tea paste. "I have no idea how. I filled them myself, and Tomoko helped." She looked to the cheerful kitsune beside her. She'd never sabotage her like this! One of her siblings, maybe? But she hadn't...

She'd figure this out eventually. She had to.

"If you want, I can style your hair after I do Hel's?" Junko offered Mitsu with an apologetic smile. It was both to make up for the dirt taiyaki and because she really wanted to do the ghoul's hair. It looked so pretty! Just like Hel's! Speaking of Hel, it was time to do her hair! Junko turned back to her and undid the little braid she had done, suddenly getting a much better idea. She wanted to play with her two-toned hair, it had so much potential! Hmmm! Maybe if she...took this part, and this part and she twisted them together...oh! That looked nice! And maybe if she took one of the sticks and twisted this color and then this color around with it..ooooh! That looked really neat too! She also took what was leftover to wrap around above and below what she had just twisted up, clipping it in place with a small beaded hair clip. The extra stick was carefully pushed through the two small balls of hair in a direction opposite of the other one.

Junko disappeared under the table a minute, coming back up with a mirror and holding it out in a way that Hel could hopefully see. "What do you think~?"

Taking his taiyaki back, Shun went ahead and finished it off. He was pretty glad that she had managed to get something that wasn't dirt filled. It was quite a wonder as to how that one dirt filled taiyaki had gotten in there in the first place.

"I have. It's been awhile though. It's kind of one of the typical Japanese street foods you might find around," he explained.

Glancing over towards the female Reaper while Junko worked with her hair, he just watched while her hair was more or less placed up into a Japanese-style bun. Well, Mitsu certainly had enough hair for something like that if she so chose to go on with that.

Tomoko watched as Junko worked, pausing to pick up a pair of purple hair sticks and pulling her own hair tie out, fussing with her hair. Certainly she wasn't as good with hair as Junko was...but Tomoko was a ghoul with a lot of hair, so she had some experience with putting it up. It was probably to nobody's surprise that when Tomoko's hair wasn't tame by the braid, it was wavy and everywhere.

So.

Much.

Hair.

But in a matter of minutes, she had piled it on top of her head, wrapping most of it into a semi-braided bun before she put the hair sticks through it in a cross pattern. There! Now she was advertising Junko with her hair too! She seemed pleased.

"Junko-chan does hair pretty!" Tomoko commented, putting her own confidence in the futakuchi onna, despite the fact she'd vouched on doing her hair herself. Then again, Junko only had two hands! Couldn't do all of the hair! (And somehow, she didn't trust the mistress to be much help).

There was another pause as Tomoko looked to Mitsu before she took one of the squirrel shaped spookies and offered it to the canine ghoul.

"We made these using the recipe of the Miss Wolf-Lady. She can't eat sweets because she's a wolf, but she eats these without a problem if you're interested?" she pipped. Shehk had used the same recipe on the spookies she'd been giving out at the Open House...and she'd had to keep herself from eating all of those.
PostPosted: Thu Jul 14, 2011 3:24 pm

"Oh, a street food. Like the cart vendors?" She seemed to know some things at least. Dumb Mitsu was not...naive she was.

Continuing to nibble away at her own taiyaki, Mitsu glanced up at Junko with the visible eye not hidden by her mask. Her crimson eyes were rather large giving her a somewhat childish appearance but she tried to smile at the ghoul reassuringly, though it was hard to see with the food in the way. "I..It's okay. This one is very tasty so it more than makes up for it."

At the offer to do her hair Mitsu wasn't sure what to say. She had never really done anything with her hair beyond putting it in a ponytail or braid. It was pretty long though so it could easily be styled. "I..I don't want you to feel like you have to." Intently she watched as the ghoul started to work with reaper's hair and was surprised to see how nicely Junko could in fact do hair. She nodded at Tomoko enthusiastically, "She can it looks great."

When Tomoko offered her one of the squirrel spookies though, Mitsu paused looking the treat over. It had a certain interest since the ghoul said the 'wolf-lady' had shared the recipe for them. "Thank you very much," Mitsu smiled shyly mostly behind the cover of her mask before she reached out for the spookie. It looked pretty good and giving it a careful sniff it smelled good as well. Nibbling at one of the ears of the spookie creature Mitsu's tail began to wag as the flavor hit her mouth. Ooo, these were good too. So much good food. There was no way she was going to be able to leave this booth.

"Shun, I got a spookie want to try?" She asked turning to offer the reaper a bite of her treat. He had let her try his after all and these were rather good.

Nodding in response to Mitsu's question, Shun looked over Hel's new hairstyle a bit more. Junko did seem pretty good at that sort of thing. Then again... being a futakuchi onna, he supposed that made a fair amount of sense. Wait. Didn't they generally have a mouth in the back of their heads? If this was the case with her, it was being fairly silent.

The Reaper watched while Tomoko and the wolf girl had their little exchange before glancing down at the cookie offered to him. Well, it wouldn't hurt to try. There likely wouldn't be anything that'd make his stomach upset...

Taking the treat, he took a small bite out of it, nodding as it seemed to be made very well.

"Seems like you have a gift in the kitchen," he commented plainly before giving the spookie back to Mitsu.
