Her tail? This entire time Joachim was thinking it was a pet, or a friend, but the snake was actually attached to her? He didn’t want to ask why but he assumed that it was a common thing for her family like the mice in his own. He did wonder what it was like having a creature attached to his own body however the thought of having something like Merel attached to anything wasn’t something he wanted to ever happen. He shook his head as he realized he had been staring at Abigail for a couple of minutes letting his mind process how such things were possible.
“Errr nice to meet you Abigail.” Joachim quickly blurted out as he tried to push the blushing back down his throat. He didn’t hold out his hand considering he was trying to keep two of his mice in his pocket from sticking there heads out not to mention he wasn’t sure how to shake a snake’s non-existing hand.
“Err.. yes…. Outside of the prom then……” He was more worried about himself being late or a shambling wreck then his own date being late. The reaper was sure he was going to end up standing at the wrong door, or even forget something that he was suppose to bring for her.
“Errr… I should go and leave you be….….. thank you again.” Joachim gave a short bow feeling he shouldn’t stay any longer however he felt a little rude just stating he was leaving on her however Merel squeaked almost happily at the thought of fleeing.

It wasn't the first time that Taryn had been stared-at, for Abigail particularly. Perhaps naming her tail something different was misleading. Ah well, it wasn't like the snake responded to anything anyway. The ghoul looked away, embarrassed, and didn't notice the blush in Joachim's cheeks again until she looked back to him. That was kind of charming, actually. At least she wasn't the only nervous one.
"Alright, I--" Taryn began, and then realized that she really didn't know the proper thing to say at this moment, "...you're welcome?" He had thanked her, after all. She offered a final, shy wave as Joachim headed away before closing the door behind him and falling against the wall. The ghoul let a long sigh escape and furrowed her brow.
Curious, Abigail peeked up at her.
"...oh, stop that, you."
