He kissed her cheek as she kissed his, and murmured a soft "I do say so," in response against the side of her palm where it cupped his cheek. Watching her sigh, her expression as she look back at him, and the slow spread of pink along her cheeks as she smiled nervously. His brows twitching upward curiously before she questioned him. He gave a soft huff of amusement as a smile of his own stretched along gray lips. Human hand slipping from her hair so he could catch her wrist, feather light, between his fingers. Holding her hand still so he could turn his head to place a linger kiss at the center of her palm, dark eyes falling closed.

"I do," he assured her, glancing back through half lidded eyes. Large hand smoothing along her's to keep that adored warmth against the side of his face. He loved her warmth, the solid beat of her heart. The brilliance of emerald eyes and the way she always looked at him. Her smile, her laugh, and that nervous little chuckle that seemed to all for him. The list was so long. "I really do."

He released her hand, letting fingers trail light along the back of her wrist and down her arm. Lowering completely so it could meet the other at the small of her back. His forehead coming to rest against her's. Only now paying any sort of mind to the movie playing behind him, but only enough take amusement in the fact that it was going unwatched.

The nervousness in Junko's smile faded a bit as he held her hand against his cheek, giggling softly and tracing down his neck, shoulder and along his arm until the other hand could find his clawed hand and very carefully slip her fingers between his clawed fingers. "And I really do, too~." She murmured happily, closing her eyes and resting her forehead against his as he leaned in to do the same.

"Sooooo...I've seen all of a minute of this movie." Junko teased with a small laugh, leaning back a little to look past him at the skelevision. She had no idea what was going on anymore, she'd missed so much of it just being snuggly with Seiji. Her eyes fell to him again and she tilted her head, the hand that was against his cheek drifting down to rest on his shoulder. "Should we get back in the chair and try again? You can't be comfortable like this~."

There was still something they hadn't discussed, but Junko really, really didn't want to think about it right now. She knew if she did she'd just start getting jealous and worried again.

There had never been a doubt in his mind that the ghoul in the lap loved him. She hadn't had to say it, he could just tell, so to her assurances he gave her a warm smile and nod, brushing his lips against her palm again. Blackened fingers closing gently around her much smaller one. The tips of his claws tracing mindless circles along pale skin.

He chuckled at their failed attempt to watch the movie, moving his head so he could glance over his shoulder at the screen. There was a bonfire, and many scrawny, feathery monsters dancing around it. "If you want to." He had a feeling any second attempt would go over about as well as the first, at least tonight. It was getting late, and if further conversation didn't thwart their efforts then exhaustion might eventually. "And I'm quite comfortable, actually," he smirked, human hand trailing downward along her hip.

Carefully reclaiming his clawed hand he placed it with the first so he could lift her up and place her on her feet. Getting to his own a second later so he could take a seat in the chair. Catching her hand so he could give her a tug in invitation.

This movie was officially weird. Even by Halloween standards. She was somewhat entranced by it now, watching the dancing feather monsters with a perplexed look. She didn't dislike it, she was just trying to understand what was going on. When did these things appear. What were they. What was going on?! Maybe movie time was a bad time to have confessions of love.

...That's silly.

Junko actually wasn't all that tired. She could stay up for a few more hours without passing out. She wanted to talk more! But she also wanted to try and figure out this movie now that she'd missed almost all of it so far. Suddenly her hips were held and she squeaked, tearing her attention away from the movie to look down and put her hands on his. Don't drop me! Don't drop me! Don't drop me! She settled on her feet, taking a moment to reach down and scoop up the blanket, and then waited for Seiji to stand as well. He'd said he was comfortable! She had a hard time believing that but she'd give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

She was easily tugged into the chair, making herself comfortable on his lap and unfolding the blanket again to cover them. Once again the blanket was pulled up to her chin and she curled up, her arms around Seiji's middle with her back against one arm of the big comfy chair. She blushed a bit. This chair...

"A-am I the only ghoul who'll be sitting in this chair?" Junko asked in a shy mumble, embarrassed these words were even coming out of her mouth. She peered up at him through her bangs, looking nervous. Would..Aislin ever be sitting in this chair? This chair that she was really starting to love?

As the ghoul settled in his lap and spread the coverlet over them both of them Seiji looped his arm around her shoulders to settle it around her back where it rested against the arm of the chair. Temple resting against the top of her head. Gaze wandering towards the movie playing on his TV. He liked this things, well.. he liked all the songs, this one just happened to be rather upbeat. He even hummed a few bars before catching sight of Junko's flushed cheek in his peripheral, a single dark brow raising in question.

Oh. "Ah, well," he chuckled, giving her an odd smile. "You'll be the only ghoul who will ever share this chair me." It had been an odd sort of question, but he answered it honestly. Turning his head so he could kiss her forehead.

He was beginning to notice a slight theme with her line of questioning, and it made his smile wilt just a little around the edges. Human fingers coming up to touch her chin. "Why all the questions about other ghoul's, J?" His thumb stroked her cheek, head tilting as he looked down at her. Was he missing something again? He didn't think so, but it was definitely a possibility. He was a guy, and as such was prone to episodes of total oblivion.

The answer satisfied her and she smiled, her eyes closing as he pressed his lips against her forehead. Good, she was glad. This was their chair. She couldn't imagine anyone else sitting in this with him, only she could. Her hair had finally stopped trying to wriggle its way out of the tightly braided bun Junko had put it in, deciding to bide Her time until Junko finally released Her. Then she could give the ghoul her due punishments for her actions. Stupid, stupid ghoul.

At the touch to her chin Junko's eyes opened and she tilted her head up to look at him as he asked her about her questions, blushing again as her hug around him tightened briefly. Wh-why all the questions? He was going to think she was some jealous twit if she told him. First Sarias now Aislin? What was with banshees? Couldn't they just find their own boils to hang off of? No, that wasn't fair. According to those groansprings Aislin had had Seiji first, a thought that had Junko's stomach twisting in knots. Junko tried not to frown at her own petty little thoughts, tilting her head away enough to lean in and press a light kiss against his fingertips. It was an effort to play it off as nothing, to get his mind off it. "It was just one question, silly." She murmured lightly before tucking her head under his chin again to resume watching the movie.

This lasted all of maybe five seconds before Junko realized that wasn't fair. He wanted her to tell him when things were bothering her, to take comfort in his arms. Seiji had made that very clear. Junko wasn't used to that. "Does Sarah have to compete with anyone from the Goblin King's past?" Hey, this had started with movie questions might as well keep it that way.

She took her chin from his fingers so she could lay a kiss to the tips before tucking herself under his chin, and his arms moved to encircle her automatically. Human fingers running along her back in mindless little strokes, though pausing as she answered. A frown over coming the neutral set of his features. It had not been only one question, and he didn't much like that she was deflecting. He wasn't going to press her though, at least not yet.

As it turned out he needn't have worried. At first the question she asked him seemed completely random, assuming for a handful of seconds she really was talking about the movie before realization dawned. They were back to using the movie as crutch for their conversation. It really did work nicely. "No, she's got nothing to worry about from anyone or thing in the king's past."

There had been a time when his affection had rested solely on Aislin, he wasn't about to deny it. Back when it had been just the two of them on their own, and just before she had left. He'd believed back then that they would be together, but he'd been wrong. The hurt of her disappearance had stripped away whatever romantic inclinations he'd ever had for her, and his love for Junko cancelled out the rest. She was no threat to the futakuchi-onna.

Junko still looked uncertain. She wanted to believe him, she wanted to trust him and just know what he was saying was true. She wanted it so badly. But a part of her, a part of her she really hated, kept whispering into the back of her mind that feelings could change. He could realize how much he missed his old friend, how much he cared about her, he could remember their days together...and decide he wanted that instead. She ducked her head a little to hide the frown on her face, pursing her lips and squeezing her eyes shut. Don't cry, don't cry! This was a bad time to cry! Don't do it. No. Don't. She didn't want to stress Seiji. No.

"O-okay...but...but how can she be sure? I mean, it's not that she doesn't believe he loves her after he's made it clear but..but feelings...theycanchange." She lifted a hand to bite down hard around the knuckle of her index finger, feeling horrible for even saying anything like that. He was going to think she didn't trust him, that she didn't believe he loved her. No, she believed him. She loved him so much, she just...didn't want to lose him. Junko tried not to whimper and instead bit down harder on the finger to keep herself quiet, unable to allow herself to look at Seiji. She felt bad for saying these things, for asking these questions.

"I-I'm sorry. Um, I...um..." Her usual first response to discomfort and guilt was to run away, and that was exactly what she was feeling. She was a horrible ghoulfriend to have worries like this! A horrible, terrible ghoulfriend! She didn't deserve him at all. "I...I should...g-go, I've caused enough trouble. I mean um...excuse me.." She couldn't just leave, but he did have a bathroom she could flee to and hide in for at least a few minutes. Junko moved a bit, releasing Seiji so she could begin to try and climb off his lap in a hurry.

The jikininki sighed softly at Junko as she pressed on. He didn't really mind the line of questions, nor her worries, but he wished she'd stop hiding her face. This seemed the sort of conversation that needed eye contact, not that he was really an authority on these sorts of things. Granted, it was very hard to see her looking so worried and miserable, specially after what they'd shared, what they'd admitted. It didn't fit the evening, and he wasn't exactly sure when things had turned from exciting and happy to this. It seemed a very sudden turn of mood.

While he was still thinking over just how to explain things to her so she'd understand she blurted out an apology and drew his attention down to her with an upward twitch of dark brows. He didn't even get a chance to ask what she was saying sorry for before she was hastily climbing off his lap to make an escape towards the door. "Hold it." Not this time, sister.

Looping an arm around her middle he dragged her back against him and wrapped both arms around her in a rather tight embrace. Chin coming to rest on her shoulder so he could speak softly beside her ear. "You're not going anywhere, and neither am I." His tone was, admittedly, a little annoyed, but he worked to keep it soft.

"Feelings do change, you've got a point there," he was going to be very honest, and very clear. "I used to have feelings fo Aislin a long time ago back when it had just been the two of us trying to survive. She was my best friend, and after so long I started to feel more." He wasn't trying to hurt her by telling her all this, and he really hoped she realized it. It was just very important right now to say it all, so she would understand. "So far as I know she never felt the same, and one day out of the blue she just vanished. Not a word of goodbye, no note, no explanation, nothing. She was just gone." There was a thread of sadness to his voice. He was still rather raw over the manner of their departure. "She didn't care enough about me to stay, and the hurt she left behind was enough to change my feelings for her." Ah, the point of his story arrives.

His arms tightened on the ghoul in his lap, and he turned his head so he was speaking against the warmth of her neck. "She's still my friend, I doubt that will ever change. Still very important to me, but I don't feel the same for her. She hurt me, and I can't forget that pain. When I saw her in the library at the open house and felt nothing more then friendship.. It was a relief." On so many levels. "What happened in the past, and what I feel for you.. Junko, I'm not going anywhere."

Hold it? Wh-what was he..why wasn't he letting her run away? She wanted to run away! Why couldn't she run away? She was good at that, a professional even! Her breath caught in her throat as he held her tightly against him, trying not to cry. She felt so guilty for this. She was being stupid! Selfish! One ghoul comes along being his friend and she just...ruins a wonderful evening with insecurities. She was the worst. The worst ghoulfriend ever. She was right, she didn't deserve him. But she wanted him. She needed him...she wanted to be selfish. Couldn't she be selfish just this once? The annoyance in his tone made her flinch and feel even worse. She was annoying him. Great. He'd just told her he was in love with her and she was annoying him.

Junko stayed still and quiet as he explained a little bit about him and Aislin, eyes cast down to her own lap as she sat tense against him. It did hurt a little to hear this, to hear that he did once have feelings for Aislin; it just further exacerbated her fears. He was going to be reminded of those feelings and fall for Aislin all over again. That was it. Her fists clenched a little and she bit down hard on her lip, gripping the blanket tightly in her hands. No, she had to give Seiji more credit than that. It took him this long to admit he loved her, and he wasn't some cruel jerk who would just toy with her like this. He had a reason for saying all this. He wasn't..like that.

He wasn't...he wouldn't...

She was very glad the story didn't end with him feeling something for Aislin other than friendship. Junko remained quiet as ever even as he hugged her tighter, slowly tilting her head to one side to rest it against his as he buried his face against her neck. He...he was relieved. She wasn't sure what to say though. There were many things she wanted to say, things she wanted to do, things she wanted to hear again...but she didn't know how to...she didn't know where to begin. She just felt so guilty for even bringing this up, for not just letting it go and not being bothered by Aislin's presence. She didn't even know the ghoul! They'd met for all of a minute or so! Her impression of her wasn't all that grand either after the way she had flirted so heavily with Nukpana.

"I..I'm sorry." She finally mumbled quietly, frowning softly. Her eyes flickered toward him for a moment before looking away again. "I shouldn't have...I...it's just...I didn't mean to...I'msorry." Junko leaned back against him, pulling the blanket up again after she had messed it up with her attempt to escape. She was so sorry. She wished she hadn't dampened the mood with her insecurities, she really did.

One hand slipped from around her waist so he could smooth her hair back from her face as she leaned her cheek against him. Lips moving agianst her neck in a series of soft kisses. Silly ghoul, she didn't have to apologize for something like this. "It's ok," he murmured against the warmth of her skin, tone falling into a quieter, more reassuring level. "If somethings bothering you you should always talk about it. Nothing can ever change or be worked out or explained if you keep your worries to yourself, and they'll just grow and fester."

It hadn't been her bringing Aislin up that had annoyed him, but her attempt to run away from issue, away from him. Afraid of what he'd think, or worst, afraid of his answer.

He shifted in the chair so he could pull her completely into his lap with her legs laying over one of the arms. Pulling the blanket up snugly around them before pulling the lever that popped the foot rest out. She wasn't going anywhere. They were going to lay here and cuddle and try to watch what was left of the movie, or maybe just some tv. Hell, they could have even resumed talking for all the jikininki cared, he just didn't want her to leave.

There had been a little more to what he'd been saying though, and he was going to finish before they did anything else. "I was relieved because I didn't want to feel anything for her. The only one I want to feel anything for is you."
PostPosted: Mon Aug 22, 2011 6:38 pm

Even with the kissing Junko stayed quiet as he gently advised her it was always safe for her to tell him if something was wrong. She wasn't used to having someone to go to when she had a problem, hell she wasn't used to having a problem with anyone but herself! "Okay..." Junko nuzzled her face under his chin. "I'll..I'll try. I'm just not used to this kind of thing..I'm sor--er..I..." Junko peered up at him through her bangs, blushing a bit as she cuddled up close against him again and settled down. She was tired. It had been so much excitement today, and then the fretting and just...it'd been a long day. She wanted to sleep now regardless of if the movie was finished or not.

As he readjusted her she complied easily and even helped him out, sliding her arms around his middle. She was content again. They'd talked, gotten it over with, and she actually felt a lot better. She sudden jerk of sitting back as the chair adjusted into a lounging position made her squeak and cling to him until it stopped moving, blushing a bit at her reaction to it. "..Oh..." Junko looked to the tv and pouted. "I'm sorry. We missed, like...all of it." This was his favorite, right? She had actually wanted to see it, too. She shouldn't have brought it up during the movie. Damn. But at least they talked about it, and there was always next time! She had a feeling he wouldn't be opposed to trying to watch the movie again if she asked. Junko nuzzled her face against the crook of his neck with a small smile.

As he spoke Junko blinked and looked up at him again, his words making her heart flutter and her smile grow. "I'm glad. I feel the same way~." Not that she had anyone else TO feel these things for, but she was glad about that.

Junko cuddled up comfortably against his chest and beneath his chin and he gave a happy little sigh as he tilted his head to rest his cheek against the top of her head. Human hand moving up so he could trail his fingers up and down her bare arm. "It's fine, we'll just have to watch it again some other time." It's not like he didn't know the entire movie by heart, and she didn't know what she'd missed, so it wasn't a big deal. It was better that they'd talked things out, and Seiji for one felt lighter having gotten things off his chest. Hopefully it would help his ghoulfriend not to worry.

Smoothing her hair from her forehead he gave her a soft kiss before going back to his idle petting along her arm. She sounded tired now, and he couldn't blame her. It'd been a long LONG day, and it finally seemed to be winding down enough for sleep to catch up to them. Well, her. Seiji didn't often feel tired. He slept, but not for long, and only out of familiar habit. These days he seemed to be sleeping more and more, but it was completely due to having a beautiful ghoul curled up next to him in bed.

He didn't bother saying anything else. If she wanted to talk more she'd surely fill the comfortable silence, but if she would rather doze off in his arms he was perfectly content with that. Reaching out beside him he grabbed the remote off the dresser so he could turn the volume down a few clicks, then sat the thing back where he'd gotten it before settling his hand on the ghoul's hip.
