"Yep! You should see the homes of the elves Illisia and I visited. Some of their buildings were trees grown into form - whole homes crafted inside and with a single tree. Quite beautiful. Very comfortable too." He grinned, "I'd like to try my hand at it sometime."
Her enthusiasm was infectious and he laughed as she bounced, "Do you know where Elik is? Maybe we can go talk to him now?"

"...do you think I could sometime? See them, I mean?" She'd been just a little jealous of that whole adventure, and the more she heard about it, well, the cooler it sounded! Not that a whole bunch of druids needed help being cooler.
"Hmm, I haven't seen him today." Adi sniffed a little, then wrinkled her nose. "There've been an awful lot of people around...he'll be hard to find." She was pretty good at finding people she knew by now, but there were a whole lot more smells to sort through than she was used to.

There were so many people around !
Certainly. Elik was slowly getting used to there being a lot of coming and going, but... That was really a lot of activity going on !
He'd settled down near a tree, in cat form, to try to catch a quick catnap, through the ongoing sounds made it harder. He had no idea where the god that had once been his mother was - and saw no need to trail him like a kitten, anyway.

Just when she thought it might be impossible - or at least take quite awhile - to find Elik when there were so many people about, a little breeze just happened to waft by, and he just happened to not be that far away after all. "Oh, I think he's this way!"
Grabbing Glyph's hand, Adi jogged in the proper direction, much to the new floox's dismay. This was hard!
"Elik~!" she called, resisting the fleeting temptation to pounce on him (especially since he was cat, and soft, and...). The werewolf was slightly more gentle with her enthusiasm after recent events.

He smiled at her question and nodded, "Sometime, sure. I'll bring you along next we go visit - I'd like to return some day." Forest saw no reason not to bring the budding druid with him - someone as guileless and innocent at Adi would be good company but he worried about the stress of travel on the young one.
"Oh." He gave a sigh and a shrug, looking around for any possible Night Elf... the god hadn't had a chance to meet Illisia's son yet, was nervous, really, and -- Suddenly he was being jolted out of his thoughts as the were pulled him along, one hand flying up to try to steady the floox on his own head so the poor creature would go topping off, and laughed as he jogged alonside Adi.
When she called the name, he looked about and spotted a cat very similar in form to that which Illisia had once taken. Making a thoughtful sound, he gave a wave and a friendly 'hello' as they drew near. "Elik?" He asked politely.

"Ah,,, Hello, Adi." Elik stretched, yawned, much like a cat might have, and then suddenly changed - right back to a night elf - with obvious ease.
Adi had company, also - unsurprising, really - and godly company at that. "And you might be... ?" He asked, pleasantly.

Watching Elik do that really never got old, although she had wondered on occasion how it was he kept his clothes when he changed, since Illisia hadn't that time she'd changed into a bird. But, as tempting as it was, she'd never asked.
"This is Glyph," she said, with a proud show-and-tell tone to her voice. She released Forest's hand and stepped aside, reaching up to take Dittany from her precarious perch so the floox could rest in her arms again. What a wonderful day this was turning into! A new floox, two of her favorite friends, a pending project, and Glyph was going to take her along next time he went to visit the night elves. Maybe Elik would come to?
...although it would be sad if he did and then stayed. Hmm.

Glyph gave a nod in greeting and had barely opening his mouth to respond when Adi spoke for him. Smiling to himself, Forest nodded at that as well, "Yes, I am Glyph, Forest. A pleasure to meet you Elik. I'm glad you're safe."
He reached a hand out in greeting, "I was wondering if you might assist us in the making of a gift for the Dragon King Yu?"

Glyph. Hadn't that been... Yes, that had been the god his mother had told him about.
Before... Well.
He has questions, he had to admit - about the state of his world as well as simple curiosity, but they were probably better kept for later. "A gift, hmm... What did you have in mind ?"

As relentlessly chatty as she was, it was sometimes difficult for Adi not to commandeer conversations, especially when she was excited. "We're going to make him an amulet!" she answered, her enthusiasm for the project clear. "It was Glyph's idea."
So she'd let him explain it more (wasn't that nice?). He would probably do it better.

Recognition had flashed in the elf's eyes and Forest knew Illisia had spoken of him to the youth. He only hoped he might find another time and place to speak to Elik on more serious matters.
He tossed a sidelong glance at Adi, smiling as he reached out to muss her hair. She was very dear to him already. Turning his gaze back to Elik he nodded once more, "That's right. An amulet. Grown from the wood of a young tree into the shape of a hoop, set with amber and jade, a gift from Forest and those loyal to woods of the lands. However, I can make things grow but I cannot enchant them to remain alive. If we sever the amulet, it will eventually loose its vibrancy..." He smile hopefully, "I was hoping you might assist us in that?" He would have asked Illisia for her help... but that was no longer an option and the weight of that knowledge settled in his gaze for a moment, dampening his enthusiasm briefly.
"I thought we three could present it to Yu upon completion."

"An amulet..." Hmmm. Things dragons might like, perhaps. Shiny things. It was hard to keep his expression truly neutral - he definitively didn't feel to have much to do with dragons right now, but... Well, he could see why Glyph and Adi would.
"It isn't my specialty... But I can try." He nodded.

Adi ducked a little when her hair was mussed, long ears flicking, and made a giggling attempt at fending Glyph off. She liked the affection, but Elik was here! Appearances mattered - she didn't want to look like a kid where he could see! Maybe she would need to let Forest in on her 'secret' crush. It could be problematic if someone told the very long-lived night elf that she was only four, even if she didn't look like it...but sometimes acted like it.
"Yay!" The werewolf fairly wriggled with enthusiasm. "This'll be awesome."

Glyph flashed a grin at Adi but let himself be fended off, wondering if her little display spoke to affection towards Elik. Maybe he'd ask on it later...
"Thank-you. I'll remember this Elik." He smiled again and gave a bit of a bow, "Is now alright to learn?"

Learn ?
Was Glyph expecting him to teach him ? The notion seemed ridiculous - him teaching a god, seriously now.
Maybe it would be easier if this had been about shape-shifting. Healing... Restoration... Preserving... These are been the things Illisia had excelled at, not him.
But Illsia is gone. Came the inevitable reminder. And while im not certain I understand, or certain that it was worth it... She did it because she felt it was the best option available to her.
Maybe one day it would sting less, be less bitter. but right now the wound was raw. But one thing was certain - he couldn't hide in his mother's skirts forever, so to speak.
He was way past the age for such things.
"Now is fine with me, through... You might have to be patient with me." He apologized. "I am... Well, im not the best at this." Embarrassing. And here he had to show a god.
No pressure, Elik.
