Nolens Volens saw something up ahead and faltered a bit, not knowing who it was at first. It could be another creature that sought to injure her as well. She had slowed her pace a bit to see who it was at first and hearing his voice brought her some comfort since it was a familiar voice. At least she knew he wasn’t there to hurt her, like the other mare. Her head tilted up to look at him, then around them. “I-I t-tried going home, b-but a m-mare is saying I’m going to die today.” She said in a fearful tone, her tail curling well between her legs and her ears darting about to find the source of any given noise.

The mare tried her hardest to stand her ground, not wanting to get too close to the stallion and assume that he would protect her from this mare. “I p-probably should go… I lost her a little while ago.” She said softly, before heading past the stallion to find some way to elude the mare. She just had a suspicion that the mare was just messing with her, making her believe that she was safe for now. She knew that was too good to be true.

The mare was going to go off on her own again! How delightfully stupid of her Tink thought as her body begain to shiver with delight. She would merely kill her first and then return for the stallion latter on. Oh she couldn't wait!

"She said you were going to die today," Jii replied as he furrowed his brows and glanced around looking for any sign of movement, however known showed. Those words seemed rather familiar to him something that the decaying stallion would say on their hunts. Knowing him there was little chance that the mare had merely given up it wasn't in their nature to merely leave their prey that they had their hearts set on.

As she walked by he shook his head noting the flowers that they had gathered were no longer with her, "It is no longer safe it would be better if I traveled with you. I will follow to the edge of the forest from there you should be able to get to whom you need to return to with ease. " Jii replied caring little if she dared to object or not. "Besides it would be best if you were traveled there as quickly as possible the longer you are here the is a chance of finding something worse than just her."

The small mare looked at Jii with apprehension in her eyes. “I d-don’t want to trouble you. You shouldn’t even worry over me.” She said with a sad expression in her eyes before returning to the trail in front of her. The first thing she needed to do is ensure that she was not being followed, pick up some more flowers, and return to her caretaker. Her aqua blue eyes focused on trying to look around and see if the mare was indeed still following her, willing to break out in a run in the case that the pink-haired mare came into sight. She had to outwit the one out to kill her, but she did not even think she had the intelligence to do that. She did not have the strength to defend herself for she was weak. The only thing she could do was hide and run. Her coat color made hiding difficult, and she only had so much stamina to keep distance between her and the one that seeks to harm her. With Jii bringing the thought of something worse than her, the little mare could not even fathom what she would even try to do in that situation besides what she was currently trying to do.

"It would be more trouble for me if I didn't return you to the edge of the forest," Jii replied without hesitation as he looked at the mare, "if something did happen to you I would feel the guilt as I had done the act myself. " He took a step in her direction not wanting to get too close to her but to be able to keep an eye on not only her but the whoever it was following her. If the mare was still lingering about she was sure to show her face soon if she felt that her prey was going to slip through her fingers.

"I will follow if you would like me to or not, I am sorry," Jii replied as if to warn her that even running from him at this point would likely not lose him. He was worried however if the mare did show up she would bolt causing them to become separated leaving the mare a sitting target to the mare or anyone else in the woods.

Tch. well then we will just have to play a game won't we? Tink thought as a smile spread on her lips. She wondered why the decaying beast was more than happy to help such a foolish prey escape so easily. He was of kalona's blood was he not? So why not just eat her instead? Oh but he seemed concerned, how stupid.

Nolens turned her head to gaze up to the stallion shyly. Her brows furrowing underneath her overgrown bangs that covered almost half of her face. Why would he care so much? “B-but, you wouldn’t be guilty.” She shook her head. “It’s not like you want to hurt me… At least, not yet.” She said softly, dropping her gaze back to the ground, which came to her as a “first”. Her tail was still curled underneath her in her fear of the mare that wanted her death. Her eyes turned away from the stallion behind her to the forest around her. The creatures in this forest were definitely more keen and were able to sense her better despite managing to creep through the forests to gather what she needed and get back out without disturbing any other Soquili.

Her attention shifted once more to look at the stallion again. Would it be even worth it to run, or should she just conserve her energy to run when she faced the pink-haired mare. Deciding between the two, she definitely wanted to save her energy for the mare that wanted to harm her rather than use her energy on the stallion who wished to help her. Her ears flicked back in her submission to the stallion’s determined actions. The mare quietly moved forward, returning to the spot she had crossed paths with this rotting stallion to hopefully evade this mare and pick her flowers at the same time.
