Her claws flexed into the dry earth as Nen implied the end of their journey and their bet, and her nose scrunched slightly. Arg, he was near impossible! Joke after joke after joke, didn't he care at all how foolish and embarrassing this all was? The impossibility of his words just irked her, they were driving her nuts. Why would he keep that joke up just to piss her off? Wait... wait what was he doing? Her gaze flicked to Princess then to Laana. Kitten? "Dammit, it's Aagiro!" She grunted, more at Nen than to Laana but immediately she regretted it. She hadn't meant to tell him her name, but that damn kitten this and kitten that had grown way too annoying. She narrowed her eyes too, because she was even more annoyed with herself that she fell into his traps so easily. She wasn't stupid, she could see plain as day what he was trying to do... yet still she was caught. Mostly she blamed this on her temper, which got her into trouble more often than not. Still, she didn't like losing. Not one bit; she was a sore loser.

Her tail whipped away from her body in an annoyed manner, her gaze softening as it returned back to Laana and she cleared her throat. "Er... I'm Aagiro." She repeated, so that this time she was giving her name to the elder rather than shouting it at Nen. She listened to her words, smiling slightly even through her anger. Aagiro's emotions often switched like flashes of lightening, or perhaps it was like her anger mingled with her happiness and her sadness took joy by it's hand. She was neither one or the other when it came to conflicting emotions, usually she was both. "That must have been nice. And the memories... at least you still have those. I'm sure they cherish their memories with you as well..." and here her smile wavered slightly, as if her own words were upsetting her just a bit. Yes, memories would have been nice.

"Most rogues are all talk anyhow." Aagiro stated, though she didn't realize she was probably giving more material for Nen to use against her since she was a rogue through and through, born in the Pridelands or not. "But it's good we're only sharing a meal and some idle conversation with you rather than our blood." Aagiro chuckled at this, finding it humorous.

It was almost sad when Laana spoke. She once had a family, by her words, and now they were gone? Well, not GONEgone, but…gone. He gave a small frown, but she was correct when she spoke about the future. The past was yesterday, and the future was a mystery. He was always told never to take things for granted, but then to always look ahead because you just didn’t know what lay before you.

“Well, Miss Laana, it’s a pleasure to meet you too!”

AHA! Aagiro, eh? See…was that so hard? All Aagiro had to do was just give Nen her name, and he would stop with the Kitten comments and call her by her true name. Well, maybe. But now that she had given it to him, things may be different. Well, actually they wouldn’t. She would still always be Kitten in his mind. When Laana spoke about ‘mad’ lions, Nen smirked again. “See Aagiro,” he let her name roll off his tongue. Oh he was so mocking her, big time. “Told you about the terrible lions. It was a good thing we are traveling together! I’m sure Miss Laana could elaborate on her horror stories of the rogues.”

Despite her age, the lioness was still observant as ever and watching the conflicting emotions in the younger female made her think so much of herself...good Gods she MUST be old to think like that. Only old cats WOULD think like that.
Stretching her legs gently as she watched the pair of them, her smile weakened only slightly as her mind wandered over her family...and the memories of her past live that she had given up so long ago it seems. But she bit her tongue on such words and such thoughts as she kept her eyes on the young couple before a soft chuckle escaped her at Nen's words.

"I could but...as you say, young man, it's good that you both have each other to take care of yourselves." Glancing over them she offered a gentle shrug. "Nowadays, souls are lucky to get any company in their lifetime...and seeing you two with such a commarodery does an old heart a world of good."

Standing herself up, a soft pop of her limbs sounded from beneath fur and muscle and she felt the ache slowly ease back into them. But this time, not too much. On a full stomache, the ache didn't matter as much and that alone she was thankful for. Snuffling at the fireflies that had sneakily landed on her back as they scattered like shooting stars.

"But," She started. "I should probably be off, I'd hate to overstay my welcome and you two probably want to rest." Ugh, she couldn't believe she called herself an old dame. Shaking her head softly she made her way past the pair with a thankful nod to them both, eyes settling briefly on Aagiro whom she shared a small smile with before motioning to Nen purposefully.
"Be sure to keep him on a short leash, won't you dear?" And with a playful chuckle she began to lope off into the tall grass. Mind settled on the thoughts of her family. Of old friends gone past. Of her youth...and of love. Before she completely vanished into the tall grass and off onto the rest of her wandering. Leaving the pair to their own conversations.

She shot a glare toward Princess and her tail flicked. Oh, she was pissed he'd found out her name. In a way it annoyed her more than any pet name he'd given her, just the way he let it roll off his tongue like that... she shuddered just barely. She blinked and again looked slightly surprised when Laana mentioned taking her leave. The surprise was replaced with a furrowed brow and narrowed eyes. Did she really have to keep implying they were a couple? How could she believe Nen's lies like that! Though the thought of Laana leaving made Aagiro slightly nervous, and she wasn't quite sure. "You don't have to, we're not tired." She stated, almost too quickly on top of Laana's departing speech.

She looked confused and skeptical when Laana shot her a knowing smile, it seemed to convey some sort of shared secret between the two but Aagiro was still not yet aware of it. At her comment Aagiro found herself laughing. "More like a thick rope and a short drop." She muttered under her breath, unsure if either would hear her. Though she felt slightly bad for the comment... guilty almost. She wouldn't admit it, but she didn't really want Nen dead. Maybe just maimed a little.

She watched as Laana passed them and stood as the older lioness went, turning to continue watching the dark lioness until she blended into the night. She looked almost longingly, as if she wished to join the female and leave Nen behind. She shot a glance to the male when she remembered he was still there and found herself feeling annoyed. "Arg, don't you dare try and lie like that to anyone else we meet you big oaf! Not in a million years would I be mated to you or be carrying your children or any of that other nonsense you freaking encouraged her about! You must be insane!" Her words still held an edge of anger, but something hinted at confusion and unease. Slight embarrassment, even. She stalked passed him. "I want to go." She called back, demanding that they start traveling right away. "And don't you dare ask me to hunt within the next two hours." Her tone was threatening as well as strained, because truly she would have liked to continue resting where they were but... well. She wasn't sure, something was bothering her and it was different than Nen's annoying little jokes. Keeping her mind on where they were headed would be better, hopefully.

Ammon'nen waved at the retreating form of Laana. Maybe one day, he would meet her again (with or without Aagiro tagging along). He didn't hear Aagiro's comment about the thick rope and sudden drop. If he did, he probably would have just brushed it off. He had his fun with her, it was okay for now she would poke fun at him. He couldn't have all the fun now, could he?

"Aww was Kitten embarrassed? I'm sorry..." he gazed back at her. "You know, actually I'm not. Call it payback for those grubs!" A wicked grin was placed on his maw. "Oh, but you will, if you lose this bet. Let's just hope I don't know where I'm going." Lord did know after this, he was going to need SOME female attention. Whether it was from Aagiro or some random rogue wandering, he may not care.

"Alright dear, lead the way...Oh, so does this mean we can hunt in two hours and one minute?"

Oh he pissed her off! Arg, somehow they had to be going the wrong way. Even if it was she who wanted to visit the great sands, and not him. But at the price of cubs? Bah! Insane, definitely insane. "I see this bet is the only chance you'll have of continuing your blood line or obviously." She snapped at him, in a foul mood. "Clearly you're just as charming with all of the other lionesses you run into. Tell me, are you as much of an a** towards the ones you're actually interested in?" But she didn't seem to be paying attention to the answer, because really she didn't want to know. He'd been an a** from the beginning, and if he replied about being different towards other females somehow she felt as though she'd be even angrier. If only because she knew she was not hard on the eyes, even if she wasn't stunningly beautiful. She was in shape and pretty much at the prime of her ye- wait why the hell should she care what he thought? She wasn't interested, so why should it matter that he think she pretty? Still. She thought a male had to be particularly stupid not to realize she was somewhat pretty.

She made some annoyed sound to respond to his 'clever' little question, tail lashing behind her. Gods above... she was going to end up having to give birth to idiotic cubs, wasn't she? Oh she prayed they never make it to the golden sands.
