"Don't you get lonely traveling alone?" Sunny asked. Traveling had been pretty lonely for Sunny when she only had Luna, and she was always asleep. Now she had Alka where ever she may be and this girl, temporarily. She finished up Danny's sandwich and held it out to her. "Would you ever consider joining a crew?" She knew it was one of Luna's pet peeves to 'recruit' people that she felt they owed, but Sunny honestly couldn't help it. From what she'd seen, she liked Danny. And she tried to recruit the people she liked. That was just in her nature.

 "Sometimes." Danny admitted as she reached out to retrieve the sandwich from her. She took a bite, munching on it happily before stopping to listen to Sunny. It was a bit shocking that the girl would trust her enough to suggest such a thing; they just met after all. But she seemed sincere about it, as Danny found no hint of deceit or anything of that genre in her voice. On the bright side, I'd wouldn't have to hop from ship to ship anymore. I could travel with these guys. Despite that it was in Danny's nature to always be on the look-out for her own well-being... she occasionally allowed herself to be apart of risky situations. "Sure, it's not like I'm going anywhere." Danny grinned in reply.

Under normal circumstances, she would've jumped around or do a happy dance, however, her stomach seemed to be rebelling against her. She felt a lot more sluggish and tired than usual, too. Still, she was sure it'd pass when ever she ate. Her stomach would have to settle, right? Sunny took the first bite of her sandwich, chewed and swallowed. "Hey, Danny, have you seen Alka? She's a big mermaid... and I mean big. Taller than this ship." While it wasn't very specific, Sunny was sure if Danny had seen her, she would remember it. The minute Alka showed up, Sunny would ask to go to West Blue. She'd heard something about a shipwright's shipwreck, and if they wanted to find a shipwright, that would probably be a good place to look. Besides, they needed to get a ship large enough for Alka to sleep in.

Danny couldn't help but smile at her excitement; she even giggled a little. "A big mermaid?" Well, Danny had never really seen one before. In fact, she had thought they were made up by lusty sailors. When hearing the supposed height of Alka, there was only one thing that rang a bell. The giant sea creature at Yoroi Island. Danny's eyes grew wide as she realized that the creature was a person. "She almost squished me!" She gasped. It had definitely been a close one; a hair closer, and Danny would've been a pavement attraction.
She forced herself not to raise her voice. After all, it wasn't Sunny's fault, so there was no need to yell. "Last time I saw her was when I went to look for shelter, there was a really big storm on its way."

Sunny had to admit, she was a little worried for her first mate. Sunny took another bite of her sandwich and chewed thoughtfully. Surely Alka was tough enough... She's fine, Sunny decided. She's strong; if she could sink Honeycomb, she could survive a storm. Taking another bite and swallowing shortly after, Sunny looked to Danny, "I guess we'll just have to wait for Alka to catch up, then head off towards West Blue." Sunny nodded, as if deciding what she said was definitely a good thing to do. "Is that okay with you?" she asked, making sure the navigator would be okay to go along with this plan. In so many cases, the navigator was a key member of any crew. Sunny was glad they'd come across one so quickly. Now we just need a cook, a shipwright and a doctor for the necessary crew members...

Danny was sure that Sunny knew Alka better than she did; actually she was positive on that. The only thing she knew about Alka was that she was terrifying when angered. So, knowing this, she decided not to answer her question which was more than likely rhetorical.
"I'm not the captain." She replied with a soft laugh. At least Sunny was a reasonable sort, who actually valued Danny's opinion. Joining this crew had turned out to be a good idea after all. Pleasant thoughts could be saved for later, but now, it was time to get down to the business of finding her crew mate. "Should we drift here for a while or search nearby islands? Where do you think she would go?"

"She'd probably be looking for us, too, but we should probably make it easier for her. I think for now we should stick around here. We're still close to Yoroi, aren't we?" Sunny thought about it, frowning. If they'd drifted too far at night, then the chances of Alka finding them were less and less. Maybe they should shoot up some kind of flare. Or maybe she could make their jolly roger really big in the sky out of sunlight, so it shines brightly enough to catch Alka's eye. Alka's and every other marine out there, Sunny thought. She shocked herself with that one; the comment sounded more like something Luna would think. Sunny sighed, "Maybe we should just take our sandwiches out on deck and wait to see if she shows up."

"By the sounds of it, that's about all we can do." She replied truthfully, gathering the sandwich plate before moving towards the door. She was fairly sure that they wouldn't have drifted too far. The waves last night had been very calm despite the storm that had gone on during the evening. Part of Danny's more humorous side wondered if Alka would be able to hear her if she were to roar in tiger form; but that of course seemed ridiculous. She led the way to the upper-deck, waiting for Sunny to follow. "I know a way we could see farther out." Danny announced.

She felt worse, if anything. Still, she took another bite convinced it was the only way she'd feel better and looked to Danny, "How's that?" Sunny asked, genuinely interested in her navigator's idea. If they could simply spot Alka and sail on over towards her, things would be much easier, then they could head for West Blue to find more crew members. If Danny's plan worked, Sunny was sure they'd be reunited in no time, and ready to start their adventures.

"Well if my hunch is correct..." She trailed off for a moment in order to look up at the mast and check for something. Once she found what she was looking for, she announced with a grin, "Which it is." Danny pointed up eagerly towards the sails. "Up there is a small platform called the foretop. It should be high enough to see farther out at sea, and wide enough that it'll hold both of us. We should be able to see her." (( .___. I swear I read too many pirate books... ))

She took a large breath and focused, saying aloud, "Nikko Nikko no Safa!" She expected the regular golden surfboard to appear at her feet and cart her up to what Danny called the 'foretop.' Except... nothing happened. Nothing asides from a wave of dizziness and nausea. Sunny finally realized eating that sandwich had been a very, very bad idea as she put a hand on her stomach; she felt as if it's contents were thrashing about like the wild waves of a storm. For the first time, Sunny outwardly appeared sick; her knees trembled, the color drained from her face and she looked as if she might collapse any given second. Sunny, despite the wobbling of her legs, darted to the railing and leaned over. The fowl sound of someone throwing up could be heard, and for a minute, even as the bile sank and separated out in the waters, Sunny kept hanging over the railing, trembling slightly and catching her breath. Ever so slowly, Sunny pushed herself from the railing and allowed her legs to fail her, folding beneath her so she could lean against the railing, taking deep breaths and trying to feel a little better.
xxxHer mother once told her that throwing up was the eye of the storm, and after that, nothing was as bad. Sunny once again found truth in her mother's words, as the shakiness slowly disappeared, the feeling of weakness gone. With the sandwich (and, unbeknownst to Sunny, the seastone) gone from her stomach, she felt a lot... better. Really, there wasn't much else to say about that. Looking up to Danny, Sunny gave a sheepish chuckle. "...sorry."

Another devil fruit user? She thought, expectantly waiting for something to happen after Sunny had spoken. But nothing happened. Danny opened her mouth to ask what was wrong but by the time she had thought of something to say; Sunny was leaning over the railing to puke. Poor girl...
Moving to Sunny's side, she gave the girl a reassuring pat on the shoulder, letting her know that it she didn't mind. As Danny had seen more than her fair share of people being sea-sick. "I could carry us both up there if you want." She offered. (( ._. Do you think I should put how big her forms are in her profile? Cause I just realized that I never really specified that. ))

"Ne, Danny, could I get you to go up there alone? I really don't think heights would do much for my stomach and I'd like to wash this taste out of my mouth." Sunny hated to burden her crew mate, but in all honesty, adding a rickety, high-up place would probably give Sunny's stomach a round two; and it wasn't wise to prompt a round two when there was nothing else to throw up. "If you're worried you wouldn't recognize Alka, she's a large mermaid with white hair, white skin and fins around her ears. She's kinda hard to miss, in all honesty... she's probably the size of a giant..." Of course, Sunny had never seen a giant before, and Alka was the largest creature she'd ever seen. So it was only logical she'd mix the stories with her first mate.

Danny nodded, treating the question as an order rather than a suggestion. Heights was one thing that she had no problem with; having claws and superb balance helped quite a bit in that matter. "Just go relax, I'll be fine." She waited to listen to Sunny describe Alka before making her way to the mast. I doubt I'll ever forget what she looks like. It wasn't easy to forget the face of someone who nearly squashed you; accident or not. Instead of voicing this, Danny merely nodded again.
She decided it would be easier to climb vertically rather than get tangled in the rigging, therefore, the hybrid form was best suited for this. As her skeletal structure began to transform, Danny found it hard to believe how much this had hurt at one time. Now, it only made her wince. She took a moment to mentally prepare herself, and when that was done, she ran at the mast, leapt, and quickly clawed her way up to the foretop. "I'll call for you if I spot her!"

She went to the bathroom, leaving that door open too, and splashed her face with water, then rinsed her mouth out, spitting it out the first time, then swallowing some to wash it from her throat. When she was done, she took a small towel and wiped her face off, holding it over her face for a few extra moments, if only to appreciate the softness. Whoever's ship this was, they had good taste in towels. While part of her wanted to wet down the rag and lay down in a hammock and take a nice nap (half an hour after waking up... nice, Sunny. Lazy) with it on her forehead- another thing her mother said was always nice when you're sick. However, she wouldn't leave Danny to look for Alka alone. Besides; Alka didn't know Danny, did she? She wouldn't realize they were traveling together. It was best if she sucked it up and toughed through it, as Luna would say. But then, Luna was actually tough. It was easy for her to suck it up. Sunny shook her head and went back out to the deck, looking up and shielding her eyes from the sun, "See anything?"
