"Yo dude, sup. Y-yo dude...sup? Yo--"
Her practice was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice. Looking up, Xiu was a little surprised to see Mot there, but a small smile tugged the corners of her lips upward. "Oh, Mot--" She cut herself off, freezing when the demon beside her suddenly shouted at the cowboil. What in Halloween was going on? Clearly they knew each other (or Charlie liked shouting and pointing dramatically at random reapers?) but...
She nodded at Charlie's words, but paused to look at him quizzically at his whisper. A van? She had never seen Mot with a van before! Maybe she could ask for clarification later, but for now, she had practicing to do. Her last attempt had been weak and, in the words of Charlie, "lame". How did make it less lame, then? Maybe being louder was the way to go. Xiu shot Mot a vaguely apologetic look before taking a deep breath.
"Y-YO DUDE, SUP?"
...Was she going to get in trouble for yelling in the dorms? The Baku shrunk a little at this thought, her tail drooping. But at the very least...did she do it? She turned to look at Mot's expression first, and then Charlie's, her own face hopeful.

Mot grimaced at the sudden yell from Charlie, then sighed, lifting his hands in a shrug and shaking his head. Guess he was stuck with the whole 'stranger' title, right?
Mot stared at Xiu from the shadow of his hat as she attempted a greeting. He stared... and stared...
"...PFFFTAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!!!" Mot burst out into laughing, holding his stomach and bending over with laughter. What was she DOING?! Taking lessons on how to be a dweeb from the King of Dweeb Demons? Rich! Too rich! Mot started to walk away, still laughing and wiping tears from his hidden eyes. "Sup dude, she says.. hah hah hahahahaah!"

Charlie took a step forward, his shoulders very square and his hands balled in fists under the fabric sleeves. The demon was glaring but it was hard to tell with his constant fox face.
"HEEEEEEEEEEEEEY BRO HEEEEEEEEEEEY," He was a lot louder then he needed to be to get his point across but the demon never minded his tone. Ever. He was furious to have Xius attempt laughed at because it was an indirect insult to him. And his teaching. Charlie thought he was probably the best teacher ever. This blow to the ego was drastic.
"HEEEEEEEEY. Stop it." Charlie pointed to Mot, "Stop being a van driver." Charlie grabbed Xius hand and ran past Mot in his shame with the poor Xiu dragging behind him.
"WE DONT NEED NO VAN DRIVER!" He was still yelling, "We'll find some one else."

If anything, Xiu just seemed a little dejected by the reaper's response. Because she genuinely trusted Charlie, she didn't think that it was his teaching--or the greeting--that had failed, but her attempt itself. Shrinking a little, she allowed herself to be dragged off by Charlie, wondering just where she had gone wrong.
"A-am I really doing this right?" She asked after a moment, her ears drooping as she followed after the boil, "Maybe I'm just not ready yet..." Whenever she saw Charlie greet someone, they never burst out laughing at him. Charlie was an expert, that was probably why! Everyone was just used to him and his cool greetings now.
Sigh. If only she could be like that!
"D-did you have anyone else in mind for me to practice on next?" There were only two or three other reapers that she knew.

The demon was running aimlessly with a poor Xiu being pulled behind him. There was only one goal right now. Get away from Mot. That was til Xius voice interrupted his thought process. Charlie came to an abrupt halt with no warning.
"Doing it right? Yeah. That guys a jerk is all," He gave Xiu a very serious frown. Truthfully, Charlie had no -real- reason to dislike Mot. But that didn't matter really at the end of the day. Charlie had Charlie logic which was no logic at all.
"Oh yeah. Why don't we try Mac. He's probably a better reaper to practice on then that... that... VAN DRIVER." Charlie in reality had no idea if Mot even owned a van.

Xiu wasn't sure how to feel about the proclamation that Mot was a jerk. Honestly, she thought he was quite gentlemanly usually. In this case, it really probably was her fault that he laughed. Despite Charlie's assurance, she was certain that she had done something wrong.
The Baku drooped a little, but she perked up at a certain reaper's name. The expression on her face immediately took a skeptical turn. "...Mac?" She repeated, looking a little hesitant. Now that was a reaper who seem more like the jerk-ish kind.
Yes, she was still grumpy about that pool incident.
Charlie seemed to be friends with him through, so why not? After a moment of silence, Xiu finally nodded her head. Hopefully Mac was in his room then! If not...
...Shun, maybe?

Charlie gave her a happy smile and continued down the hall towards Macs room. He hadn't picked up any of the hints that maybe Xiu wasn't the biggest Mac fan out there. Charlie was very very bad when it came to picking up clues about what people felt about something. Usually because he failed at paying close attention most of the time.
But that wasn't important right now. He had to teach Xiu how to be super cool and Mac was the best option in his brain. Next in line would be Lizzy and then maybe Amrita. No, Amrita was top priority always.
The demon reached his friends room and side kicked the door as hard as he could. The door made a loud banging noise but did not fly open like Charlie had been hoping it might. Still it substituted well for a normal knock. A testament to Charlie coolness at least to Charlie. Charlie let go of Xius hand and crossed his arms waiting with a very impatient look on his face.
"MAC OPEN UP WILL YA!?"

Charlie's kicks were first answered with the startled calls of a frightened Whippoorwill bird, the poor thing chittering up a storm at the apparent intruder.
Next came the sound of a stumbling body about Mac's size, a curious curse, and then the door opened; but barely opened. Mac appeared in the doorway, his body blocking the room from the sight. His hair was mussed, he was sweaty and shirtless, and he had a rather disgruntled look turned to the pair outside of his room.
"What's up, man?" He questioned, his voice much less grouchy than his expression gave away. He then turned his gaze to the second person; a white haired ghoul? Hmm. Her face escaped him, so he just stared blankly at her for a moment before looking back at his friend. "Who's your friend?" And where was Amrita, he added mentally. Charlie? Having female friends? UNHEARD OF.

The fact that Mac may have been a little less then pleased to see him never dawned on the demon even with the hinting expression. Nope, Charlie stood there grinning like a cheshire. It wasn't til Mac asked about Xiu did his expression falter. He almost forgot about Xiu. Oh yeah , he was teaching.
"This is my pupil in awesomeness and I really really need your help Mac. That good for nothing ... STUPID VAN GUY... was no help so I need your help." He gestured for Xiu to come closer.
"Go ahead and practice k."

Xiu was clearly very anxious as they waited outside of Mac's door. What if she failed again? She would be a disgrace to her teacher! And after he had so kindly agreed to help her! Suddenly, the door to the reaper's room swung open...
...And all feelings of anxiety disappeared. Instead, Xiu gaped with a kind of horror at the state Mac was in. How could he--why would he answer the door when he looked like that?! It was undecent! And...ughhhh. Holding her hands up so that they covered everything from neck-down, the Baku puffed her cheeks out at the reaper. "Mr. Grumpyface!" She started to scold him, only to realize that Charlie was telling her to practice. Immediately, some of her worry came flooding back.
No, she could do this. She had the best teacher, and under his guidance, she was sure that she would master this..."awesomeness". Whatever that meant. Xiu took a deep breath.
"YO DUDE, SUP?" This time, at least, she did it without a stutter.

Mac wasn't displeased at Charle's appearance. Surprised and caught off guard yes (as proven by his, uh, state of dress), but angry not really. Catching people off guard was Charlie's calling card; the world would end if he called ahead. He looked between Charlie and Xiu again, and then tilted his head. Wait, did she just call him Mr. Grumpypants? That sounded familiar, but...
"Pupil? What are you teachi----" Oh. That. Wide black eyes were turned to the ghoul as she yelled out her greeting. Then he made a big show of flinching, stuck his pinkie finger in his ear, and shook his head a little bit. "She's a little loud, innitshe?" Then, oh dear, then...he started to laugh. Like, really laugh. Loudly, even.
"Good start though, man." He drawled at her between giggles. "But you need to quiet it down. My advice? Take whatever he-" Mac jerked this thumb in Charlie's direction. "-says and tone it down about fifteen notches." The hand with the jerking thumb turned instead to pretend to hold a dial, where he mimed turning down the volume.
"You don't need to be loud, just confident." For some reason, though he was staring at a Demoness he didn't remember, Mac seemed...in a rather good mood, actually. A surprisingly good mood. "Besides, Charlie, you don't want her, you know, showing you up, right?" He grinned at his friend.

Charlie had opened his mouth to protest the fact that he was indeed to loud but he only shut his jaw again. Mac had a valid point. A very valid point. Charlies gaze shifted to Xiu and then back to Mac. He nodded his head to Mac as if the two had a secret understanding between them.
"Right." He finally said and turned back to Xiu. "Macs right you don't need to be loud. Not everyone has what it takes to be exactly like me." He grabbed Xius hands with his own and gave her a serious look.
"But jack damn it. Im the best teacher these grounds have to offer so I promise to help." He was taking this teaching business quite seriously. Charlie teaching was something to be very concerned with.

Xiu was surprised--and a little disappointed--when the reaper began to laugh at he as she, assumed that she had messed up again. What really surprised her though was the fact that Mac was actually giving her some pointers instead of...well, doing what she would have expected from him, which would have been a lot of mean teasing. Instead of replying to his advice though, she simply gaped up at him with wide eyes and murmured, "Who are you and what have you done with Mr. Grumpyface?"
She blinked blankly when Charlie suddenly snatched up her hands, his serious face making her feel a little nervous. Nodding slowly, Xiu offered her teacher a small smile. "Y-yes, okay, um...I...I'm sorry?" The Baku made a mental note to tone down her greeting next time.
Sigh. So this was another failed attempt.
She was a little cheered up by the demon's declaration, and her tail gave a little wave. "Y-yes! I appreciate the help!" Sliding her hands free, she looked down at them for a moment before her gaze fell back on Charlie and Mac. "Also should I...should I be doing any gestures when I yell that? I never know what to do with my arms." Up until now, she had just been clutching her hands to her chest and yelling out the greeting.

Mac rolled his eyes.
"Oh yes, the best Teacher." He drawled with only a hint of sarcasm. The ghoul still wasn't ringing any bells in his memory, but he was being amiable enough for dealing with a little Demoness; but that probably had something to do with the fact she was taking lessons from Charlie, so... By definition, the ghoul mustn't be very demon-like. Or bright.
"Naw, you did fine." In a move that surprised even him, he reached out and gently pat the ghoul on the head. "Well, you can put one on your hip and the other in the air." He moved to show it, at least the raised hand. "You know, like you're going for a high five or somethin." Shrugging, he dropped his hand so it clapped on his leg, and back to leaning in the doorway he went.
"Maybe you should go practice on Shun, that boil know's what's what." He snickered.

"Yeah Macs right ... Shun? Whos Shun?" The demon scratched his head and looked from Xiu to Mac. The fact that there might have been any conflict between the two in the past totally went over the demons head. Charlie was terrible at reading people. Terrible.
"No seriously?"
