As Rakai followed Ion through the darkness he remained silent and let his mind work through things in the silence. But the moment he reached the edge of the small clearing he stopped and just stared out at the wondrous soft whiteness of the innocent moon lillies. They were an even more beautiful sight to behold than he had ever imagined. His emerald green eyes expressed his wonderment, even though nothing else even hinted that he cared at all.
Rakai didn't even spare a glance in Ion's direction, not having any interest in the actions of the dark stallion. He finally took slow, methodical steps into the midst of the lillies. He was careful where he placed his hooves and was aware of were his hair was falling. He paused now and again to smell their sweet fragrance but only came to a full stop at the center of the patch of earthly stars. His eyes could no longer hold all his gradient joy and a smile crept onto his face. He rose up and cried out, a sound clear and pure. His mane flew through the air catching the light of the moon and the soft glow of the flowers below and as it rippled through the air it appeared to be partially translucent. Pawing the air for several seconds his whole being seemed to glow and radiate a pure energy. Raykai couldn't remember the last time he had felt so alive, free and happy. He actually was feeling happiness. He lowered back to the ground, careful to not trample a single flower under hoof.
