Perseus followed the younger senshi amicably, looking around at the pink tinged world of Pasiphae. Vaguely, she wondered what kind of object she was on- a planet, or a moon? Or maybe even an asteroid? She would have to look it up when she got home. First, however, she needed to get Pasiphae home.
She stopped abruptly when the other girl collapsed again, worried for a few seconds before realizing she was digging for something. She sunk down into the sand as well, helping the other girl uncover whatever it was hidden beneath the surface. "What is it?" Perseus didn't have a good view of whatever the girl had found from where she was, mostly just shoving aside sand so it didn't fall back into where Pasiphae was digging.

Pasiphae hardly noticed whenever Perseus joined her in the digging, which was strange for the normally observant girl. Her dark eyes were locked, however, on the dust that she continued to shovel aside as quickly as her gloved hands would allow. When one hand after the other wasn't enough, she combined the two together, scooping out little mounds of soft, pink dust.
Her fingers shook slightly as she dislodged the piece of statue that she had found. It was only a piece, a small piece, showing an eye and half a mask. She brushed it off as best she could to remove the dirt that had gathered over it, but a sudden passion overtook her. Shifting the piece to one hand, she tore of the glove covering the other and ran her bare fingers over the carving. The Shame Senshi sat in the soil of her moon and traced the delicate lines of the eye, the little patterns that decorated the mask captured in stone. The stone itself was slightly rough against her fingertips, but it was strangely comforting to feel its weight in her hand, to feel the chill on her skin.
The enraptured moment passed, however, when Sailor Pasiphae looked towards Perseus. She didn't offer the bit of statue that remained in her hand; but she asked quietly, "Is this... is this what I was meant to find? And if so... what does it mean?"

Perseus looked on with interest as Pasiphae pulled a statue from the pink sands of her planet. It was striking, really, the similarities and differences in the statue. "I'm not sure what you were meant to find dear." She laid a pink twinged glove on the other sailors shoulder.
"Though... it has a mask." It sounded dumb and obvious, of course it had a mask. "It looks a little like yours." It made sense for her to find a version of her past self, wrought in stone. Particularly when she was feeling so uncertain of the whole experience. "Maybe this is Pasiphae's way of telling you that you were meant to be here." It was unnatural that the planets they drew their powers and identities from had been devoid of their benefactors for years. Perseus motioned to the carving in the other girls hands. "You should keep that with you, if nothing else. To remind you of who you are."

The Shame Senshi had hoped that Perseus would have a better idea of the signficance of her finding, but the denial did not crush her spirits as much as she thought it would. the hand on her shoulder was comforting, and if the other Senshi didn't know... well, that just made two of them. Perseus's next observations, however, made a great deal of sense to her. Pasiphae had felt unsure, lost... doubtful of her own abilities and her place as a Senshi. Even without seeing the rest of the statue, the mask depicted in that piece of statue instantly connected the girl and the figure from a past time.
"I can... keep it?" Pasiphae blushed at her own question once it left her mouth. Of course she could take it; it didn't belong to anyone, not anymore. Plus, this moon was, more or less, hers... so that would imply, by proxy, that the bit of statue was hers as well. Her hand remained clutched around the stone, as it had been since she pulled her glove off to better feel it. Normally she didn't cling to objects so tightly... which seemed to mean that Perseus was right. That she should take it with her.
Her expression softened from the intensity it had held earlier, as she struggled to get to her feet without disturbing her hold on the statue fragment. "Okay... I'll take it with me. But... um... how do we get back... home?"

"Of course you can. Small objects can be taken back to earth so long as you are carrying them, and they don't disappear when you power down." More oft than not she wore the Ever Silver necklace she had found on her own world as a civilian. She loved it, and it reminded her of Perseus.
"Getting back home is simpler, takes less concentration." She stood and offered a hand to the other girl. "All you have to do is press the home button again. You don't need to listen for the song of Earth." Though, saying it that way Perseus wondered what Earth sounded like, what song it sung through space. She wondered if its original tune had been corrupted by the presence of chaos, or if the feelings of its people could change the song. Maybe she would ask Kurma the next time she saw him.
"Would you like to go back? You won't be able to come back for a while- it takes a lot of power to get out here. A few weeks probably." She had desperately tried to get back to her homeworld right away and found it impossible.

"Oh, then... I think I'll take it, keep it with me." The Shame Senshi was happy to have this piece of her moon; even she was shocked at how quickly she had calmed down now that she had been here, had dug through the dust and introduced herself to her moon.
At Perseus's question, Pasiphae took another look around her moon. She wouldn't be able to come back for a time... weeks. Was she certain that she wanted to leave? She bit her lip in thought as she nodded slowly. All of this... didn't completely erase the unease she had about this place. Plus, she had to get back home before her parents woke up.
"I will certainly return, but I think... I am ready to go home, for now. That is... unless you'd like to stay a little longer?" Pasiphae wrapped her hand around the chunk of rock she held, her other, gloved hand clutching the glove she had removed. "I'm... I'm not trying to rush you or anything; I'm glad to stay as long as you'd like!"

Perseus was more than relieved to see that Pasiphae had calmed down so much. Homeworld exploration was meant to be a magical thing, even if it was immensely sad as well. "Alright then."
She laughed softly at the other senshi's attitude about the whole thing. She was a rather meek girl, wasn't she? It was endearing though. "This is your adventure Pasiphae." She smiled. "If you are ready to go then so am I. If you want me to come with you again to explore a bit more than I certainly will come, or if you want to show off anything else you've found." The more she met new senshi, the more she just wanted to help them with what they had going on.
Fighting for your life wasn't all it was cracked up to be, and Perseus enjoyed this portion of her job much more. "I know exploring your home can be confusing and sad, but this place will come to be your solace, and can be your connection to your former lives as well. It'll take a long time to explore about." In other words, there were other times, other days that could be had by Pasiphae here. She didn't have to rush it all on her first visit.

The Senshi of Shame shook her head as she approached the other Senshi, "No; this is our adventure, Perseus. I never would have come here with you... so I feel like it's just as much your day as mine."
"I don't know how much I want to know about my past life," Pasiphae admitted softly. She traced a line in the dust with one heeled-shoe, staring at the marking. This line was proof that she had been there, not just Sailor Pasiphae, but, herself, Penelope Seneca, the girl she had been before she ever met ********* and called on the power of a distant, Jovian moon to cover her in pearl, silver and garnet. The shadow cast by her vivid nightmare was paling now that she had come here, and the piece of statue rested cool in her hand, as though to remind her that not everything here was bad. This thought made her smile slightly, "At least... not yet. Whenever I come back... I'll be ready then."
She offered the other girl her still gloved hand, her voice strikingly calm against her earlier hysteria, "Thank you for coming with me... I'm glad that we came. But now... let's go home."

"You can't run from yourself forever. Pasiphae is you, even when you are not her." It was a confusing sentence, but Perseus hoped that the other girl would get it. She reached out a gloved hand to meet the equally gloved hand of her companion.
"I'm glad I got to share this with you. If you ever need anything, just give me a ring, okay?" The super smiled at Pasiphae warmly, proud of how well the girl had adjusted to her homeworld. She gave the hand in hers a quick squeeze and braced for the trip back to earth. It had been an interesting night, and certainly better than anything else she might have run into on patrol.
Perseus felt like she'd done something good, and for tonight, that was enough.
