Truthfully, since she didn't have much of anything to do during the day, she'd been getting a lot of un-needed sleep. It was pretty sad when the first meal of the day tended to be dinner. She was looking forward to school to fill in the empty days. Of course, the empty days was a testament to her lack of social life and friends.
But, she supposed that cut out on some of the stress in life - not getting wrapped up in family and friend drama.

"Been working more since school's out." Not necessarily a bad thing - pocket money was always good.
He just wasn't gonna tell Bell he'd picked up more hours to try to get enough money to either get his car fixed, or to get a new one, whichever was cheapest. He had a good idea that he would never live this one down, if she ever learned about it.
Owned, indeed.
"Being assistant manager sucks, sometimes... Brats trying to snag money from the register and thinking they're not gonna get their asses fired for it..." ...Had he just called 16 years olds brats ?
...Good lord, he was officially old now.

"A wonderful start to a criminal record..." Bell commented. Kids. So stupid sometimes....
Old indeed.
But then again this was coming from the girl who had never worked a 'real' job a day in her life. No one ever counted theatre since it obviously didn't include any business at all. Nope. No advertising or, oh say...ticket sales? Budgeting for props, set and costumes.... Still, it didn't really deal much with one on one with people outside the troupe so....... But Bell certainly knew about 'those few dumb shits that think they can get away with s**t.'
"I bet it's not fun when you get the irate customers that 'want to talk to the manager.'" Bell had been to the grocery store register waiting to check out when a few instances of that happened. Some people just felt so entitled.
That should have been laughable coming from a 'rich kid.'

"Oh god." And that summed everything. Yeah, there were plenty of stories there, just from the look on his face.
"Oh, I brought this playstation game by by grandsoooonn has a Xbox even through the clerk told me if wouldn't woooork and I opened the game anyway what you meaaaannn you can't refund meeeeee." All delivered in the most perfect imitation mock-old lady voice he could manage.

Bell chuckled, "I guess common sense isn't all that common. But, it could always be worse, right?" And when Bell thought 'worse' she though of the poor disrespected cafeteria ladies and school janitors.
In between the talk, their cake slices managed to disappear, and soon Bell had the plates and empty mugs in the sink. Chocolate coma was right. Good lord...

Chocolate cake coma was the best kind of coma, for sure. Honestly.
"So, what did you want to do ?" He said with a grin. He had a working car right now, might as well use it, right ?
Or they could pass out for their coma early. He wouldn't be against that either.

Because Bell hadn't an opinion either way, and like she said, today was his day.....as if she wasn't apt to make every day his.
Well enough, there was a good bit of reciprocation on both ends - she'd force her musicals on him, something she was sure he probably didn't always enjoy, and in return, well, she wouldn't complain if he wanted to do something she didn't exactly enjoy. It was an unspoken system that made sense to Bell.
And she had already gotten what she wanted - to give him an awesome birthday gift and have him happy. She'd put up with whatever he wanted now.

"Then I deem..." He leaned forward to kiss her, a teasing peck on her forehead. "Cuddles and a movie, hopefully that isn't too torturous ?" He asked, voice teasing.
The system they had worked, really, and while there were plays he didn't really like, there were some he did especially enjoy, so it wasn't all a lost.

Who could argue with that? Granted they were likely to succumb to the coma halfway through.
