It took Roarke a grand total of six seconds to fully ponder over that imaginary situation. "No. It would be quite a good thing providing that they don't crowd so much that I can no longer breathe."

"And I must disagree with you, love. Your name suits you perfectly." After all if you reversed her name it would end up something like 'a mare', which she was underneath the feathers and scales. At her very core she was just another mare. Another mare that seemed quite intent on lightly tormenting him at the moment.

He flicked her lightly with his tail as he tried to nudge at her wing. As far as positions went she had the clear advantage over him. A neck could only bend so far before it would snap. "That tickles, darling." He said sinking back into his former position and accepting defeat.

She giggled as even more colorful birds of paradise fluttered into her imagination to alight on the stallion, hiding him completely from view. It was an entertaining visual. "Goodness no, we can't have that." If he stopped breathing how ever would he continue to speak to her in that charmingly accented voice? Unacceptable.

And if he insisted her name was suiting, she'd just have to believe him. Perhaps he saw something within it that she did not, and who was she to argue with his reasoning. "If you say so," she mused softly, as her wing twitched under the flick of his tail. Lifting it off his side as she glanced back towards him curiously.

"Stones are ticklish now?" An altogether devious smile curled along her lips, and she touched the tip of a blue feather against his hip, gliding it gently along his side. "You don't say."

There was shifting of long legs as she moved to roll on her other side so she could more easily face him, subsequently making it easier for him as well, though she would not relent with the soft drag of silken feathers along his monochrome hip.

A soft grunt caught in his throat as she began sliding her feathers against him on purpose. Perhaps it would have been wiser to have not admitted being a touch ticklish. "Now, if you'll remember, love, I'm not actually made from stone." He could feel his muscles quivering and twitching beneath his skin and found he had to make a serious effort to keep from squirming away like a child.

For a brief shining moment he thought that she was preparing to stop as she shifted. The joy was short lived when he found that she was only adjusting to have an easier time at him. "Though if you'd like to test how much you affect real rocks there are some over there." Roarke couldn't help but notice that the pitch in his voice was raising ever so slightly as he spoke. "I'm sure they'd love the attention so much more than me."

By this point the stone marked stallion was pulling away from her as best as he could without getting up and relocating entirely. He had been wrong in thinking that the touch of feathers would be something that you could grow accustomed to. Really they were just some, admittedly natural, torture device. They looked harmless enough but he could see that they were being wielded by an expert.

She relented only as he began to pull away from her, vivid wing folding neatly along her back and safely away from his so sensitive sides. "Perhaps they might, but they're not half so interesting as you are." She smiled softly up at him, head tilting gently to one side in a gesture that was almost apologetic. "Nor would they react quite the same." Or at all. That was the funny thing about rocks, most rocks anyways. They were unimaginably boring fellows.

She hoped the halt of the tickling would see him settled again, fearing for a moment that her teasing had gone to far and he would wander away from the peculiar bird that had fallen on him.

Tipping her head, she pressed her nose against the bottom of his chin before moving to rub her cheek along the side of his throat. A peace offering, if you will, for her previous tortures. "For a fluffy bloke you're surprisingly receptive to outside stimuli." Most notably ticklish, but she was rather curious what other sort of things might do. Perhaps a lingering from trait from the bird that lent to the color of her wings. Perpetually curious.

He wasn't entirely sure that this wasn't just a ploy to bring him back in. All the same he leaned back into a more normal position though his body still held some tension. "Thank you for that." Roarke said with a rumble of slightly forced laughter. "I'm glad to know that I'm more interesting than a rock." He wasn't entirely sure if he should take offense to that statement or not as it was, quite evidently, a joke. Everything considered he supposed he should just be glad that this wasn't a trap after all. "No, I don't imagine they would react much at all. Lazy buggers that they are."

As she rubbed against him, sans wings, he finally, completely accepted that she wasn't just trying to trick him into a more vulnerable position. He chuckled, "Darling, I don't see how my being fluffy has anything to do with my receptivity." He'd met a great deal of fluffy creatures that weren't ticklish. Squirrels and foxes and the sort, though a great number of those were more inclined to flee or attack upon approach. He would not advise trying to tickle them at random.

"Really I'd think it more has to do with the fact that, apart from yourself, very few creatures have ever even tried to tickle me. I don't imagine it is something that crosses the mind under normal circumstances." He paused for a moment reflecting on the current situation. "Though considering that we're hardly in a normal situation perhaps this argument is pointless."

She chuckled softly at him and gave a chirrup of assent in regards to rocks being lazy bums and his obvious superiority to them. Pleased as he settled back into place, though the subtle suspicious tension in his frame had her grinning. Kindly she refrained from any further gentle torture and simply lay her chin along his shoulder, slitted eyes rolling upward to watch him.

"Because my dear, all that fluff will surely brush your skin in the wind and as you move, so it leads to reason you'd be used to such things." Logic, or so she saw it. It did not appear to be the case though.

A look of feigned innocence crossed pale features at the mention of her tickling him, and she twitched ears back in a harmless fashion. "But you have such animated reactions to the touch of feathers, how could I not try, just a little?" She gave him her very best imitation of doe eyes, Slender tail curling up and over her hip, feathers very carefully settled away from his side. She'd play nice.

Mera did have fairly sound logic on that point. He was entirely used to his own hair brushing over his hide and scales, however, feathers and hair did not feel the same. Particularly not when being moved across in an unnatural fashion by some outside force. Roarke's gaze wandered over her oh so guiltless expression. He managed to keep from rolling his eyes but he still found himself grinning at her. She played the nice card very well indeed and he was powerless against it.

"All right, you." He said, playfully chiding her as he nipped at her hair. "You win this time but next I'll be getting my revenge." Exactly how he planned on exacting his revenge he wasn't entirely sure. Was she ticklish as well? There was really only one way to check but that would go quite against what he had just said and would give her license to go at him again. Oh well, if the time ever came he'd just have to get creative.

Crimson lashes fluttered as he grinned, and rubbed the point of her chin along the stone grey sweep of his shoulder as he nibbled at her hair. Chuckling faintly and curling all the tighter against his much larger frame. Like some great snake basking in the warmth of the a sun baked stone. Although this particular rock didn't need the aid of solar rays to radiate heat.

"Oh? Revenge you say?" She couldn't help but the challenging little curve of a smile from flicking across colorful features, nor the all too interested lit in her voice. Curious if he had some sly means to get vengeance upon, or if her was, as she suspected, merely bluffing.

Of course that rose the question of whether or not she was willing to call his bluff and risk driving him away again, and the obvious answer was no. Playing nicely with others had never been much of a challenge for the exotic mare, but Roarke had a certain charm about him that called to Mera. A laid back air that seemed to draw her to him despite the peculiar means in which they had met, not to mention the extremely short duration of time they had known each other.

These were all just details in the grand scheme of things, and Mera never liked to be caught up in nit picky things of that nature.

"I do say." He responded doing his best to be completely vague. It wasn't particularly hard as he didn't exactly have any brilliant ideas for how to go about getting revenge. To Roarke it just seemed important to make it sound as though he did. If he did it right, well, he'd sound like a regular criminal mastermind. He snorted inwardly at the thought of him being a criminal anything. The stone colored stallion did his best to keep his face mostly serious though he could not wipe the faintest traces of a smile completely away.

"As for what I will be doing, well," he drew his tail in closer to wrap back around Mera's legs, "You will just have to wait and see, my dear." Once again he nibbled at her hair for the briefest of moments before letting his head lower to the ground.

It was comfortable here. Between the shade of the trees keeping the sun's harsh rays off of him and the warm body beside him the temperature was just right. It was such good weather for napping. His mouth opened slowly as he yawned revealing his pointed teeth. Such good weather for napping. His mouth closed and Roarke could feel his eyes doing the same. One day being lazy like this would surely bite him in the butt, but it was such very good weather for napping.

An amused noise followed his banter, and she offered a happy little chirrup as he resumed nibbling at her hair. She was quite happy with the attention he was giving her, and only grew all the more content when the weight of his tail wrapped back around her legs. Had she been a cat, she'd have been purring, as it was she made her appreciation of closeness obvious by the way she bumped her head against the underside of his chin.

"So I will." If there was revenge to follow her tender tormenting, she likely deserved it. After the tickling she'd put him through, she wasn't about to whine if he managed to come up with a way to properly pay her back.

No such vengeance would be coming anytime soon though. He yawned, and her mouth opened to echo the action. Her own fangs glittering in the diffuse light of the sun through the trees. Despite the shade it was warm where they lay, though that could have all been attributed to Roarke's radiating heat. He really did feel like a sun baked rock, and the mare would be loathed to move from him any time soon. As his eyes drooped, so too did her's, and before too long she'd shift to lay her chin against his shoulder beside the base of his neck. Nuzzling gently as she made herself comfortable against him.

If he didn't move to part from her she'd drift rather quickly into a contented sleep, trilling ever so softly with the occasional slowly drown breath. It really was wonderful napping weather.

Roarke could feel her settling against him and he smiled lazily not bothering to open his eyes. If she had no qualms with dozing off in the middle of the day than he had nothing to worry about. Taking in a deep breath he allowed himself to loosen further than he already was before allowing his breathing to slip into an even pattern.

He could feel a light breeze, the warmth of the sun filtered by the trees on his back, the warmth of the mare lounging against him and her slowed breath ghosting against his pelt. All of things left him feeling contented and it was in that state that he finally drifted off once again. Though hopefully this time he would not be reawakened by another mare tripping over him.
