She laughed, smiling. "I"m definately getting dumplings. My total weakspot!" She said, laughing brightly still. "My daughter likes red ones mostly, because one of her old friends gave her a red rose a year or two back as a present." She shrugged, leaning back in the chair.
--
Sere snorted, looking skyward again. Damn sibling quarrels... She mentally grumbled, sparing one last glance for Louis before turning back to Halley. "So, you got any ideas?"

-Halley had ignored Louis' departure. He'd decided it was for the better. The little boy shouldn't have been tagging along anyway!
A coy smile had crossed his face, eyes shifting to look at the older girl. That demonic nature so foreign to Halley was shining evidently within that grin. It wasn't false, it wasn't half hearted. It was sly, perhaps somewhat cocky.- "I have something in mind. We'll have to be careful, though. I'll go through the front door and take a look around real quick, then I'll motion you inside if I see something we can hide behind. There's probably a counter or something in there. I just hope it's close to their table." -His eyes had flashed with incredible glee as he spun to move into the restraunt.-
---
-Kit had given a nod of his head.- "Hell, I'll agree with you that dumplings are good. But that chicken? Addictive. Chinese sure knew how to cook. Wish I'd learned a skill like that. Would have been something valuable." -His smile had grown somewhat, a sheepish laugh managing to weasle from his throat. Over doing it. He was over doing the laughing! His throat was cleared, eyes resting on the menus for a moment.- "I'd watch out then. They say red roses have multiple meanings. Love, desire, passion. I've even heard them represent tragedy or unwanted endings." -He thought about symbolism. He'd only heard of the rose representing foul things in tragedy stories, never in romantic tales.-
---
-Louis had seated himself in the bush. His knees had been brought close to his chest and his head bowed towards them in an attempt to quiet his sniffling and ache. He couldn't believe what he'd heard Halley say, and he couldn't believe that he'd some how misplaced his closest friend. Those round eyes had started to droop. He wanted Kit. Kit would help if he asked, he was certain! But... They were not suppose to be out of the house. If Kit found out that they'd left he had a feeling he would not be very pleased.-

Sere frowned as she followed him. Halley was acting... Different. He had never really seemed this much like her before, in that he didn't want parents, theirs, meeting and possibly dating. She nodded anyways, her nerves prickling slightly at a sudden funny feeling. "Fine, whatever." She murmered, peering over the shorter person's head.
--
She started laughing, grinning broadly. "Heh, true that! General Tso's is really good; I love eating it, just can't eat too much 'cause it's so damn spicy." She said, making a face. "That's what I'll be ordering; that and dumplings. Can't see the menu anyways." Niko shrugged, before frowning. "I certainly hope it doesn't mean that. Sere doesn't seem a tragic type, but as far as I know she isn't in love, or passionate about anything except insulting people and a guitar she mysteriously aquired."

-Halley had ignored the final words. His mission had changed. No longer was he only spying on Kit, he needed to make certain the date fell through. He couldn't have it! He couldn't! Sere, his sister? He didn't want that! She was... A friend. His first, and that made her special. He couldn't have her his sister.
He shivered, mind begininng to twist. not only did he want to ruin the date for that sake... He wanted to ruin it because... It sounded fun. Causing chaos sounded fun. Without a sound he had gone off inside the restraunt, moving around quickly to observe. His eyes caught sight of tables, a counter, windows... A restroom sign in the far back. He had not remained inside long. The moment he'd noticed a drink refill and dessert counter near Kit and Niko he'd turned around to head back outside and inform Sere of his finding.-
---
-Kit's grin had remained as it always --- Usualy --- looked. It was chipper and goofy.- "Havn't had the General Tso's chicken. Not once in my life. Wouldn't mind if I stole a sample from you, would you?" -He'd asked in that joking tone. Odd. He was having a bit of fun. A name hit him. Sere? It sounded... Oddly familiar. The man shifted, sitting back as someone came by to take their orders. He'd wasted no time in saying what he wanted. The same thing he'd eaten every time he'd gone to a chinese restraunt: The addictive sweet and sour chicken that was neither sour nor incredibly sweet.-

She grinned, laughing softly and fiddling with the chopsticks on the table in front of her. "I don't mind in the least. I can only eat so much before I can't feel my mouth, 'cause've the spices." When the waiter came by, she quickly ordered a plate of the chicken, dumplings, steamed rice and lo mein. "I love chinese food." She said, grinning sheepishly as the waiter looked at her funny before taking the orders and leaving.
--
Sere nodded, but frowned as well. "I think it might be just a little bit hard for me to sneak in unnoticed, Halley." She said sarcastically, motioning to her wings and much greater height then his.

-Halley had never thought of Sere's size when thinking of sneaking around. For him it was simple. He could run, jump, scramble under things if nessicary. Those were the benefits of being little. Silence overcame him as his plan seemingly fell through... They couldn't sneak in with how obvious Sere looked.-
---
-Louis had wormed his way around the side of the building. Swiftly, he'd moved. Hot tears had clung to his cheeks as he ran, touching the wall with his covered hands until he finally located a new door. Unfortunatly, he couldn't reach to open it. Whining and whimpering he jumped for it, blinked when he saw it open for him. Someone had just walked out of the restraunt, nearly hitting Louis as the little boy fought with the door. He had wasted no time, hurrying inside. He needed to find Kit. Panda Pan was missing and he didn't like it!-
---
-Kit had given a nod, sitting up straight. He allowed a moment of silence in waiting for the food before pursuing further conversation, something other than food, which made his stomach snarl. Ah. He felt hungry suddenly.- "You said you had kids... How many?" -He'd asked, simply sounding curious.-

She grinned sheepishly. "Too many to count. I've got Aqua, Zuko, Sere, Tuck, Sophia, Vladimir, Blackfell, Reese and Lucas." She ticked off all the names on her fingers, grinning still. "And not one of them look alike, except Reese and Lucas, who are both half-spider brothers."
--
Frowning still, Sere just shoved Halley in towards the door. "I'll just try and come in through the back. As if I could hide under a table with these damn things anyways..." She glared mutinously at her wings.

-Halley had looked hesitant. Go in? Alone? Well, he'd done it before. A frustrated sigh was emitted as the young boy gave a nod. He needed to.. To.. Pull a mission impossible. Rough up Kit's dinner without Kit seeing him. Quietly he continued into the restraunt, moving quickly, but not too quickly.-
---
"Wow. That's.. A lot. And I thought my hands were full." -Kit had blinked at the listing. She certainly had a ton more kids than he! The man sat back, slanted eyes still full of startlement at the large list of children. He had never heard of anyone with... One.. Two.. Three... Eight children! Of course, it wasn't too large a deal. Just three more than he. He kept the smile on his face.- "I comend you for surviving. Eight. Wow."
---
-Louis had hurried in, scurrying along the floor quickly. The tears had stopped falling as much as before. However, they were still evident. Kit was in sight. In perfect sight! His pace began to pick up..-

She let off a sort of weary laugh, grinning sheepishly. "Yeah. None are mine by blood, but they may as well be. They're certainly a handful." She said, making a face before laughing again.
--
Sere crept back towards the bushes, before sitting down and crossing her legs and arms to conserve her warmth, wrapping her wings around her shoulders to wait out the "mission."

"Kit!" -Louis had nearly shrieked the name. The hoodie half of his panda suit had flown off, exposing the elegant wheat colored hair, which was messy due to the hood having been on for who knew how long. Once again the boy hollared.- "Kit!" -He whined, finally managing to reach the table. Kit, he'd found him! Kit, Kit!-
---
-Kit had given a nod of his head.- "Hey, adoption is just as good as production. No diffrence between someone adopted and someone not. No matter what, the kids are your kids." -He rambled a little, mentally berating himself for doing so.- "I can imagine they're a handful. I have five and they're insane. Well, not insane. Just a little difficult. They're all pretty well behaved. But they have some problems. I guessed you could describe it like that."
-The young man blinked, slanted eyes augmenting in size at the sounded a very squeakish voice. A glance was given to his side to find none other than Louis there and bawling. Louis? His eyebrows knitted together in confusion. What was he doing?- "Lou? Louiee, what're you doing here?" -A glance had been given to Niko and then Louis again.-
---
-Halley had done as he had before inside. He'd moved swiftly, taking cover when he could. After a while he noticed something... Louis!! The little twit had run right up to Kit!-

She laughed. "I would think so. Also doesn't take nine months per kid, and doesn't hurt nearly as much from what I hear." She said, smiling. "Most of mine are fairly good, Sere's probably the worst. Still not sure how she managed to get so many piercings in one night though..." She trailed off, looking up as if for patience, till she looked down at a young shriek. Her features immediately softened, and she slid off the chair, sitting in front of the child, before peering up at Kit. "One of yours?"
--
Sere shut her eyes agaisnt the cold, bundling up tighter till she heard a loud shout(Shriek?) from inside. Rolling her eyes in impatience and annoyance, she sat up and edged to the brim of the bushes, pulling the twigs back with a gloved hand to try and see through the window. Damnit. Damn it to hell. The crying brat had gotten in, somehow. Couldn't he have just stayed where they ******** left him? Growling her irritation, she bit her lip, not sure if she should come in to help or stay out.

-Kit had listened to Niko's voice up until the final syllable had been spoken. One of his. He'd be damned! What Louis was doing at the restraunt he had no idea! He supposed the boy had...Followed him. That was probable. But, without Panda-pan? His slanted eyes narrowed a little in confusion. Where was the plushie? Louis was always fussing about it! Yet, there he was, without it in his arms.- "Yeah. One of mine." -Kit has stated somewhat nervously. Quietly, he leaned to pick the child up.- "Louis, what're you doing here?"
-Louis had said nothing, so broken and hurt by Halley. His round eyes stared at Kit absent mindedly as he tried to focus. Panda-pan, gone. Halley, mean. No one to help. No one but Kit. Who was the lady Kit was with? Louis' lower lip dived under the upper one.- "P-p-p." -He stammered, continuing to sob a bit.- "Panda-pan. Panda-pan!" -He cried, wrapping his arms around Kit's neck when the boy had set him on his lap.-
-Kit, at first, had seemed utterly lost. A quick glance was given to Niko. Such much for impressions. Children were not suppose to go on dates for the soul purpose of situations similar to the one suddenly created. His eyes shifted back to Louis, who had continued to mumble something about Panda-pan, and eventually Halley.-
---
-Halley had kept himself nervous, fearing for himself. Louis had just.. Just... Gone up to him! And Kit didn't even seem to care! Then again, Louis was young, irresponsible, dependant. Halley wouldn't be so easily forgiven for tailing him. At least, he did not believe he would be.-

Niko's eyes and face softened as she realized the child was upset about missing something most likely near and dear, though she hadn't the faintest idea what. She stood up, fidgiting a little, unsure of what to do. "Umm, is he missing a pet, or a toy or something?" She asked, twitching her wings around her shoulders.
((Not really anything more I can do with Sere for this post, besides have her snuggle up closer to the bush xd ))

"A toy." -Kit had given a hesitant nod. He'd never really called Panda-pan a toy before, as it always seemed to upset Louis. However, under the circumstances the boy did not seem to care what Panda-pan was called.- "It's a panda plushie. He's had it for who knows how long, named Panda-pan."
-Louis had sniffled, round eyes shut tight. Once he hiccuped, twice.- "Pan...da." -He'd murmured, almost sounding desperate.-
-Kit had continued to look puzzled, slightly concerned still with the boy's appearence in the restraunt. He shifted, looking at the table, then at Niko once again. Ahhhh. He'd have to talk with that babysitter. What was her name? Sarah? Sasha? Selena?- "Apologies, I don't... Know how he got here." -He paused in speech, as if at a loss for words. What to do. His 'mother' would have never left his toys lost. He knew first hand what it was like losing things loved. He'd lost dozens of sacred toys. Lonny the horse. Den-Den the winter fox... His ears flickered, drooping a tad suddenly. He needed to find the toy. But, it was rude to just leave.-

She waved a hand, still frowning, before she suddenly smiled a little. "The plushie's just of a regular panda, right?" She asked, tugging her napkin off of her chair where she had dropped it, before she frowned, waving a hand over the napkin while muttering a few soft words. An image of a stuffed animal, of a panda, replaced the napkin. When it stopped spinning and the colors stopped swirling, settling into blacks and whites, she handed it over to the child, holding a hand to her forehead. "Will that help for now?" She asked, looking up at Kit. "It's not a real toy; just an illusion, till we find Panda-pan." She whispered the second half, so the child wouldn't hear it. "And who was supposed to be watching him?"
