✧ ELLIOT WALTERS ✧ Another turning point a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question but a lesson learned in timeElliot continued crying into his hands as Grace started to answer. She did not know why? He smirked and shook his head. How could she not? Drunk enough to not remember? Why would she let herself get that way? What were they even fighting about that night? It seemed like so long ago. Dozens more questions swam through his head as he listened to Grace go on.
"I love you, too, Grace," he finally said, slowly looking at her with tears on his face. "I love you more than anything in this world... You just... have to imagine what I'm going through right now... First I find out that you cheated on me... with Gavin! My best friend! And now... now you're going to have his baby... Right? You are going to have it? Because as much as it kills me to know that you're pregnant with someone else's child, I just can't see you ending it..."
Elliot sighed and wiped the tears from his eyes. "What are we going to do?" he asked sadly. "I... I love you, Grace... but this... I don't know... You're having my best friend's baby..." He put his face in his hands again. "Do you think you could just not tell Gavin?" he asked, looking at Grace again. "We could tell everyone that we were irresponsible and didn't use protection... Pass it off as ours?" He smirked. "But I would know and it would eat me up inside..."
Elliot shook his head. "Gavin should know and take responsibility for his actions... The b*****d... What's if he was sober? What's if he took advantage of you while you were drunk? It could've been rape! You could charge..." What was he saying? His best friend would not take advantage of his girlfriend. He had known Gavin since they were kids; he was not like that.
"No... I want him to pay for what he did, but at the same time I don't want him to be a part of this... What's if he became involved in the baby's life? He would be more involved in yours... and then where would I fit in?" So take the photographs and still frames in your mind- Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time- Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial- For what it's worth it was worth all the while- It's something unpredictable But in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life- ((OOC: ))

She might not believe herself either. One thing she did know though. She'd been drunk that night and very upset with Elliot, it just went to show you that those two things did anything but mix well together.
Grace nodded her head slowly, she did understand and she was a patient enough of a person to let him process it however quickly or slowly that he wished. "I understand, Elliot. I do.. . believe me, it even came as a shock to me. I can only imagine what it must be like for you," she said as she wiped a couple tears tracks from his cheeks with her finger. "And yes, I'm having it. As much as I wish I wasn't pregnant at all, with anyone's child and at the very least Gavin's, I'm gonna have it. Not right to blame it for my mistake I suppose," she said slowly as she sighed slightly, a small frown on her lips. No, she didn't want to be pregnant at all. Sure, she had sometime maybe seen herself having kids, but it was with someone who she loved and was married to. Not like this and not this soon; she was still in high school after all.
Grace smiled sadly at him suggesting that they not tell Gavin at all, finding that a little ironic. "I thought about that myself. I thought about telling you that it was your baby and leaving Gavin out of it completely," she said to him, her eyes meeting his. "But I didn't want to lie to you and I knew that if the real truth ever came out one day then you'd never forgive me for that one," she said to him with a sad laugh as she shook her head. Almost ashamed that she had even thought about doing that, but seeing no harm in telling him about it. After all, she had told him the truth in the end.
She listened to him rant on without interupting him, Grace just settled for listening to him instead for the moment. When he was finished though, the last question that he'd asked stung at her heart a bit. "You'll always fit in to my life, Elliot. You will always have a place. While Gavin will be a part of the baby's life, and a little bit involved in mine by defualt. You're the one I love," she said to him with a small smile. "Besides, there's always a chance that Gavin might not want anything to do with the baby even if it's his. Lot's of guys will walk out on pregnant girls and most of those people supposedly loved them. He doesn't love me and, if I remember correctly, has his own girlfriend too, right? He wouldn't want to screw his relationship up anymore with her that I do with you I'd think,"]

✧ ELLIOT WALTERS ✧ Another turning point a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question but a lesson learned in timeElliot smirked and leaned back in the couch, staring across the room at nothing in particular. "Yeah, he has a girlfriend, but after she hears about this she won't be sticking around." Elliot was never impressed by Gavin's choice in girls, but nothing Elliot said could ever change his best friend's mind. "And Gavin isn't like that... He's going to do whatever he can to make up for his mistake..." And that was true. Gavin might seem like a jock and a player and a douchebag... but he was a gentleman at heart.
Elliot closed his eyes. "I'm the one that you love," he mused. She had told him she loved him a few times already today, but for some reason the way she said it now rubbed him the wrong way. "Grace... do you really?" he asked, turning his head to look at her. "I understand that we were fighting that night... but is that really a reason to drink enough to black out? Even I don't do that..."
He returned his attention to the other side of the room, not expecting Grace to come up with a response he wanted to hear. In fact, Elliot was pretty sure anything else she had to say was not something he wanted to hear. All he wanted to do at that moment was get out of Grace's house and just drive away. He did not care where, but the atmosphere in the room was suffocating him. He needed time and space to really think about the situation and figure out what he wanted to do... So take the photographs and still frames in your mind- Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time- Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial- For what it's worth it was worth all the while- It's something unpredictable But in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life- (( OOC: In case you haven't noticed, I'm not doing very well at replying either. sweatdrop ))

xxxxxxxxxxxxᴃᴜᴛ ᴄᴀᴎ ᴛʜɛẏ ᴃɛ ᵮᴑʀʛɪᴠɛᴎ?━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Grace just nodded slowly at what he'd said and tried to surpress the sigh that she felt rising. "Part of me wishes that Gavin wasn't the type to own up to his mistake," she said to him with a small sad smile that both said she wished things were different and that she was worn out and stressed more over then this then she probably should've been, but she didn't care. "Do I really deserve the help that he might provide for me? No. Do I really want him that involved in my life? No. Does he have a right? I suppose. It'd be wrong of me to say that he can't, wouldn't it?" she said, briefly looking to Elliot, not sure of that answer herself. It was Gavin's kid even if she didn't want it to be, he had as equal of a right to it as she did.
Elliots words stung her. He was actually asking her if she really loved him. Of course she did! But. . . would he really believe her? It was already apparent that he was doubting her on that. His next words brought up her speechless as her mind drew a huge blank. She opened her mouth a few times as if she were going to speak before closing it once more to just think of what might be the right answer. However, with the way that he was acting made Grace think that there wasn't a right answer and that anything she said he was going to take in a bad way."No Elliot, it's not enough of a reason. I truly and honestly don't know why I did what I did. I really don't. If I could, I'd change what happened. I'd be smarter, think clearly, and prevent it. But I can't. I don't have any reason or excuse," she said to him as she got up from the couch and stood in the middle of the room for a moment, looking down at her feet.
Grace could tell that he wanted to leave and just get out for a while, and she tried to understand that feeling, though she couldn't. She didn't want him to leave, she wanted someone with her. But at the same time, she didn't want someone with her whose only though at the moment was that he needed some space away from all this. She swallowed once before she opened her mouth to speak softly. "If you don't want to be here. . you can go," she said to him as her left hand came to wrap around her right arm loosely, just simply standing there. "I don't want you too, but it's only because I'm afraid you won't come back," she said to him, her voice breaking slightly as her eyes teared up once more. ". . . . will you come back?" she asked him as she looked in his direction, a note of uncertainty in her voice.

✧ ELLIOT WALTERS ✧ Another turning point a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question but a lesson learned in timeElliot closed his eyes and put his face in his hands, just listening. He looked up when Grace stood and walked to the middle of the room. "Grace..." he said softly as he stood up. He walked over to his girlfriend and wrapped his arms around her, resting his cheek on top of her head. "I love you. That hasn't suddenly changed because of a stupid mistake you made... I just... need a little fresh air, I guess... I won't be gone long. I promise." He smiled sadly and kissed Grace gently on the forehead before collecting his things and letting himself out.
Standing on the steps for a moment, Elliot looked up at the sky as the rain hit his face. He drew in a deep breath and somehow managed to not yell out his frustration. Instead, he sighed and got into his car. He did not know where he was going to go as he pulled out of Grace's driveway so he just drove. He started off just going down familiar roads until he took a wrong turn. Not bothering to correct himself, Elliot continued to drive.
He did not know how long he had been driving but he somehow ended up at the park where he first told Grace that he loved her. He parked his car along the side of the road and stared out at the tree under which he first said those three words. He had been trying to see how far up he could climb when Grace worriedly called him down. As Elliot was climbing down he slipped and fell out of the tree. Grace had yelled at him as she made sure he was okay and Elliot just chuckled and called her his guardian angel. He told her how much she meant to him and how he never wanted to lose her before kissing her and saying, "I love you."
Elliot looked away and blinked away the tears. He still did not want to lose her. He loved Grace now as much as he loved her then. Sure, things would be rough with her raising a child that was not theirs, but Elliot was not about to abandon her to do that alone. He started up his car and made his way back to Grace's house. So take the photographs and still frames in your mind- Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time- Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial- For what it's worth it was worth all the while- It's something unpredictable But in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life- (( OOC: ))

xxxxxxxxxxxxᴃᴜᴛ ᴄᴀᴎ ᴛʜɛẏ ᴃɛ ᵮᴑʀʛɪᴠɛᴎ?━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Grace watched him as he came closer to her and wrapped his arms around her. She was still for only a second before she put her arms around him as well, resting her head against his chest as she listened to him speak. His words comforted her and reassured her, though there was still a part of her that couldn't stop worrying. It was a feeling that, until everything was settled and everyone knew everything, she didn't think was going to go away. Elliot was the first person that she wanted to tell, Gavin, her parents, friends. . . they were all next she supposed, but it was something that she figured she could at least leave for another day.
Grace waived slightly as he went and got his things before leaving her house. He won't be gone long, she thought to herself, remembering his words as she heard the door close. He'll be back, she thought as she made her way to the kitchen and finished with the dishes that she had been doing before Elliot arrived. It only took her about ten minutes to finish those before she sat down at the table with a cook book in front of her, staring at the hundreds of recipes it contained. Her mom had wanted her to fix something for dinner for the family since they were going to be gone too late, and Grace had yet to decide what to make.
It didn't help much that her mind kept wandering to a dozen different topics every ten minutes, pulling her attention away from what she was trying to focus on. Sighing in almost frustration, she shook her head to clear it and sorted through the meal she could make; chicken, stew, pasta dishes . . . she just didn't know what she was in the mood to make. She figured that she could settle lasagna, she'd just have to go to the store and pick up a few things for it first. Seeing as it was within walking distance though, she figured she'd just go for a run. She didn't mind if it was raining and while it was a little cold, she was sure running would keep her warm. Thinking on it, she was curious as to whether running was a good thing to do while you were expecting or not, but since she wasn't that far along, she didn't think it would hurt as she went upstairs to her room to get on the right clothes.

He looked up at her house and took a deep breath before getting out of his car. He walked up onto her front porch and raised his hand to knock on the door. However, he stopped his hand and instead reached for the handle. Taking another deep breath, he opened the door and walked inside.
After closing the door behind him, Elliot walked into the living room. "Grace?" he asked after he did not find her there. He walked into the kitchen and found an open cookbook on the table. He paused for a moment to look at the recipes on the open pages before continuing his search. Did she go somewhere? he wondered, making his way to the foot of the staircase. "Grace?" he called out before going upstairs.
As he was climbing the stairs, Elliot started to wonder where Grace was. The house was quiet but the front door was unlocked. Did she just not hear him? Elliot reached the top of the stairs and walked toward Grace's bedroom. "Hey Grace? I'm back..." He knocked on the door and pressed his ear against it. "Hello?" She had already changed and was listening to her Ipod when he was calling her name so she didn't hear him. Opening her closet door, she grabbed her jacket out and put it on, zipping up the front of it before she walked to the door of her room and opened it.
A surprised squeak escaped her lips and she jumped back when she realized someone was standing there. However, when she saw that it was just Elliot, she relaxed though her heart remained pounding in her chest from the shock it had recieived. She pulled her ear buds out and laughed a little as she shook his head. "I wasn't expecting you back so quickly, you scared me there. Thought you were going to be some sort of creeper," she said with another laugh, before an amused frown crossed her lips. "And what happened to your firm believe in not letting yourself into my house?" she teased, poking him in his side as she walked past him and down the stairs.
Grace put on her sneakers where they were lying beside the door and glanced back at Elliot. "I was just about to run to the store to pick up a few things for dinner tonight, did you want to come with me?" she asked, tilting her head curiously to the side as she waited on his response. "I'm going to attempt to make lasagna," she said with a small laugh, knowing that when it came to cooking, she wasn't always the best.

Elliot walked into the room and wrapped his arms around Grace. He chuckled when she told him she thought he was a creeper. "You know I am," he joked. He then let Grace go and followed her downstairs. "It wasn't that firm a belief... I just... felt the need to let myself in this time around. After all..." He grabbed Grace's hand to stop her and get her to face him. He then raised a hand and brushed his fingers gently across her cheek. "I wanted to tell you that I came to my senses... I'm not going to leave you. I'm going to stay by your side and we're going to get through this." He smiled and pulled Grace into another hug. "I love you..."
After a few moments they finally broke apart and Grace put on her shoes, saying that she had to buy things for dinner. When she asked if he wanted to tag along, Elliot shrugged. "Sure, I've got nothing better to do. Do you want to run? Or do you just want to take my car?" He pulled out the keys from his pocket and jingled them in front of Grace's face. xxxxxxxxxxxxᴃᴜᴛ ᴄᴀᴎ ᴛʜɛẏ ᴃɛ ᵮᴑʀʛɪᴠɛᴎ?━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━xxx☆Grace shrugged at his question, not really wanting to give an answer to it. Even though she knew he said that he'd be back, she couldn't deny that there was a part of her that thought he was going to come back, but she didn't want to bring that up with him. After all, Elliot was someone she should and knew that she could trust --he was the one that had been untrustworthy-- it had been her. Again, not something that she would really go over well, so she let the feeling and thought fade slowly from her mind. A look of mock surprise crossed her face at his joke. "Well, then you creeper. I'll have you out of my house this moment or I'll call the police on you," she teased as she smiled at him and shook her head in amusement. While she was walking down the stairs, she felt Elliot grab her hand to stop her and she turned to face him, a look of puzzlement on her face for a moment until he started speaking. A weight seem to be relieved from her chest as she listened to what he said, a smile that was truly a joyful one spread across her lips. She hugged him back and laughed a little. "I love you, too. And I'm very glad that you're staying, I didn't know what you'd do. You're the best boyfriend and person in the world, you know that right?" she said with a little laugh as she kissed him on the cheek and put on her shoes.
Grace pursed her lips to the side for a moment, thinking of what she wanted to do and then looked over at Elliot and her decision was made. "Mm, I'm thinking we better take your car this time around. Besides, probably better weather for a car ride anyway," she said with a shrug of her shoulders as she reached for his hand and led him outside with her, running while laughing at the same time to get to the car quicker since the rain had picked up. She saw a bolt of lightening flash across the sky, striking towards the ground in the distance followed by a particulary loud crack of thunder that made her jumps slightly. "Maybe it's a good thing we take your car, I don't want to be fried by lightening," she said as she got in the passengers side.

"Do it! I dare you." He smirked. "It won't stop me from checking out such a beautiful woman." Smiling, he followed her down the stairs. Once at the bottom, he confessed to her that he was not about to let her go and was grinning from ear to ear when she hugged him back. "I'm not the best boyfriend," he told her before kissing her on the forehead. "Far from it."
Elliot waited for Grace to make her decision and did a little dance on the inside when she said they should take his car. He got blisters on his feet the last time he tried running in Converse and was not about to experience that again. Grace took his hand and led the way outside, locking the door behind them. Elliot automatically unlocked his car doors as he and Grace laughed and ran through the rain. Once in the safety of his car, the sky brightened and a loud crack sounded nearby.
Elliot took Grace's hand and kissed it with the hopes of calming her down. "We wouldn't get fried by lightning," he told her as he started up his car. "That doesn't exactly happen often... does it?" He pulled out of Grace's driveway and took his time driving through the rain. A trip that usually took maybe five minutes ended up being more like 10. Elliot parked his car as close as he could to the store and looked over at Grace. "You ready?" She shook her head when he said he wasn't the best boyfriend in the world so she paused to reconsider her words. "Okay, well then you're the best boyfriend I've ever had and ever hope to have," she said to him with a small smile playing across her lips before they'd left the house and gotten into the car.
Grace laughed at his question, finding it kind of funny. "I don't think so. . . or you at least don't hear about it on the news if it does happen. But better safe then sorry, we'll stay out of the storm," she said to him as another bolt of lightening raced across the sky. She was quiet on the drive to the store, simply watching the rain fall on the windshield. When they made it to the store and parked, Grace grinned over at him and said, "Always." She opened the door and ran out, standing at the door but underneath the hanging as she waited for Elliot to come out of the car to. As she did, her eyes wandered over the parking lot, not searching for anything particular but mainly just looking at all the puddles that were forming in the dips of the pavement. However, she did take note of one dark blue colored pick-up that was parked at the store and her heart sank slightly. It was Gavin's pick-up, she was fairly certain but there was a slight tinge of doubt. She quickly looked away from it and back at Elliot hoping that it wasn't Gavin, she didn't want to face him yet and wasn't sure how Elliot would respond either. It was a small store though, so if he was in there, she was sure there would be no avoiding him. She shifted her weight to her other foot, a nervous habit of hers, as she waited for Elliot to join her.

I should've gotten the one I have from the house before we left," she said to him with a small sigh. She saw Elliot's gaze follow hers until he spotted Gavin's truck and she grimaced slightly in response when Elliot's face pretty much confirmed that it was indeed his best friends truck. Grace looked back at Elliot when she felt his hand on her shoulder before she nodded and walked with him inside.
The warmth of the store wrapped around her and a slight shiver passed through her, reminding her of just how cool it had truly gotten outside. She didn't bother getting a basket to put anything into, she only planned on picking up a couple of things and then she was out of here. Or so, that was her plan anyway. While she didn't want to run into Gavin, she also didn't want to jump around the store and peek around the corner of the aisles to make sure that he wasn't there also. Ironically enough though, what she did was run into him. . . literally. Or rather, he ran into them. Gavin had been coming around the corner of an aisle himself when he bumped into Grace. Gavin looked up to apologize to who he'd ran into him when he saw that it was Grace and Gavin.
"Hey, Grace. . . Elliot," he said with an easy going smile though it was clear that he hadn't expected to see them here. "Crappy weather we've been having lately, this keeps up then the game's gonna be canceled," he said with a sigh, acting as if everything were like any normal day. However, his eyes would trail to Grace kind of curiously every now and then, but that may have been due to the fact that she was being silent, completely still, and that the color had seemed to drain from her face and she was nervous. "Are you sick or something?" he asked her, concern on his face.
"You could say that. . .," she said to him which she figured probably confused him further. Grace had never talked to him about the night of that party afterwards and wondered if he even remembered it. She figured that he had to, right? Even she, as drunk as she was, remembered bits and peices even if she couldn't remember the reasons as to why she would do something like that. Grace looked to Elliot for a moment, not knowing what else to do. Really, all she wanted to do was be anywhere but here, but she was going to let Elliot choose as to how he wanted to proceed with this. The truth was going to come out sooner or later, but she just didn't know when would be the right time.

✧ ELLIOT WALTERS ✧ Another turning point a fork stuck in the road Time grabs you by the wrist directs you where to go So make the best of this test and don't ask why It's not a question but a lesson learned in timeElliot followed behind Grace, his eyes scanning the shelves as he thought about what he might want to snack on. He was reaching for a box of cookies when he heard a small 'oof' and his best friend's voice. Elliot's heart sank as he turned to face Gavin. "Hey man," he said, hesitantly shaking his friend's hand. "It has been pretty crappy..." He glanced at Grace and saw that she was avoiding Gavin's gaze. Elliot slipped an arm around her waist and held her close as he listened to them chat. "Yeah, she wasn't feeling well so I offered to help her buy groceries and then make dinner for her folks... Let's just hope I don't burn the place down." He chuckled before kissing Grace on top of her head. "Anyways, not trying to be rude or anything, but Grace and I really should get our shopping done..." So take the photographs and still frames in your mind- Hang it on a shelf in good health and good time- Tattoos of memories and dead skin on trial- For what it's worth it was worth all the while- It's something unpredictable But in the end is right I hope you had the time of your life- (( OOC: ))
