"Okay."
He nodded, an uncertain twitch of his tail as he followed after the clerk, suit in hand. Amphi seemed to like this one, and it was nice colors, he hoped it fit. He also hoped he could find her again in this jungle of a store when he was finished.
It would soon become obvious that what he should have been worrying about was how to actually put the suit on! How could a simple suit be so complicated? Not that having a long tail and a pair of wings helped matters.
Okay, so pants and shirt first, may as well start at the beginning, should he tuck in the shirt or leave it untucked? Now how did the vest work, this went here and...wait was that right? This was a lot harder than he had thought! It would take a fair bit of time, several muttered curses, a bit of fighting, and a lot of help and adjustments from the clerk before Sheridan finally managed to get into the suit.
Hmm, it wasn't bad, comfortable enough and it seemed to fit. He paused to look in the mirror for a moment, before walking back through the store to find Amphi.
"What do you think?"

Amphi had been fingering other suits to find something compatible with Sheriden, she didn't want him to feel uncomfortable over the prom attire, especially since they were a cute awkward already.
Her hand's trailed over silky white shirts, the colorful additions that were vest and large belt's. Ties and bow ties we're on one side of the wall and she swore she could see every color of the rainbow and in every shade.
She turned as Sheriden came and found her and studied him up and down. Oh wow. her instant thought was that he looked fantastically handsome, the colors melded with him to make the suit seem almost natural. The light blue brought all the silver as they reflected off each other. She gave him a radiant smile, though her pinks had returned to their shaded pink. He really did look amazing.
"Wow, you look really handsome Sheriden! But...." She smiled at him, "How do you feel? Is it comfortable? Can you move around?" She thought the suit was perfect, but she wasn't wearing it, he was and as long as he was comfy, that was all that mattered.

He gave her a sheepish smile, fidgeting a bit as he distracted himself by glancing at one of the mirrors nearby.
"It's not uncomfortable, though it was harder to get on than I expected."
Now he was fiddling with the collar, turning around to show that he could indeed move. Despite the adjustments that had had to be made (hello tail and wings), the suit moved well with him, it didn't restrict his movements at all, and his tail continued its constant sway.
"I've never worn anything like this."
Another tug at the collar, then he smoothed out the lapels with both hands, it was going to take a bit of getting used to.
"Do you like it? Do you think it's okay?"

"Was it? Though it looks like the adjustments really help." She pointed at the tail and wings. "Do you mind if I touch you?" She smiled at him as she came forward to stand under him, her hand reached out to straighten the jacket and mess with the collar.
"You look really nice Sheriden." She blushed as she smiled up at him as well. "Really...Really handsome." She smiled again as she brushed off his coat. "And you can move around well enough which means you'll be able to dance."
"I love it, Do you want to get it? Then we'll find a dress that matches with it." She smiled as she motioned the clerk to take him away and undress him. The payment wouldn't be a problem, she hoped as she tapped her her chin. "Um, is there anything else you'd like for your prom outfit?"

Sheridan nodded, though he may have held his breath for just a moment.
"It's okay."
Arrg, he was blushing again, suddenly feeling very warm in that fancy suit. Why was he blushing? He didn't mind her touch, so long as it did not involve pulling on his tail, then why? Oh, she thought he looked handsome. Really? BLUSH!
"Th...thank you."
Another nod, barely managing to mutter an 'okay' before he was ushered off by the clerk. Getting out of the suit was only slightly easier than getting into it, but he managed, putting his own clothes back on. The clerk paid, suit in hand, Sheridan returned to find Amphi again.
"Where should we go now?"
Something else to go with his suit? He couldn't think of anything, he didn't wear shoes.

Amphi continued to smile again, she liked how easy going Sheriden was. After the clerk pulled him away and returned with him, suit tucked away in a package and bag and Sheriden dressed in his normal clothing. She took his hand in hers again as they exited the store.
"I think we should get my dress?" she fluttered anxiously next to him as she tried not to think of dressing in well....a dress. She had never worn one and was totally unsure of what to get. "If...If that's okay?" She blushed, even with her hand tucked in his, she started to speed nervously.

He nodded a bit more certainly than he had before. A dress for Amphi, that sounded like a good idea. He hoped she'd be able to find one she liked.
Ah, she was holding his hand again, and he was following after her, his new suit carefully tucked under his free arm. His tail twitched, gaze shifting between the windows of passing shops.
Then his gaze went to Amphi, thinking she'd look pretty in whatever dress she chose even before he'd realized the thought had crossed his mind. That silver tint on his ears must have seemed permanent by now... He was now caught between his own blushing and asking her if she was okay (was she walking faster than usual?).
"Are you...oh, what about there?"
He pointed to a shop window, taking care not to drop his suit in the process. It looked like there were nice dresses and gowns in the window.

Amphi was totally ignorant of the other boy's blush or even thought process. If she had known that he was thinking that SHE would look good in any dess, well she would melt into a pile of red blushing mess of a mermaid. She'd've been to embarrassed to say a word.
Her hand tightened on his as she pulled her to a stop and pointed to the shop. Oh well, Those must be dresses. Amphi pressed her free hand to the window and looked like she was going to be sick, mostly due to anxiety and fears. She had never been around a boil in a dress.
Fingering her star necklace, she slowly stepped into the store. "I'll just choose one that matches color wise." She blushed as she fingered gowns, there was so many types of gowns and she wasn't sure which one would suit her best. Her eyes fell upon that of a dark and light blue almost mermaid styled gown. It had a tight fitting bodice and at the legs let into a flowy lacy style. There was a water almost like pattern as the dress started from light blue and down of silver sequin. She looked over it again and again.
"I think'll try this one on." She didn't smile as she took the dress down and showed it to the clerk and was escorted to the dressing room. She felt like she was going to die of embarrassment. "I'll be right back Sheriden." Her face was completely red as she walked away.

Sheridan had been looking in at the dresses through the window, perhaps seeming a bit lost at the site of just how many there were. He was glad he wasn't the one--it was in the middle of that thought that he caught sight of Amphi from the corner of his eye. She looked...was she okay?
Head titled curiously, he followed her into the store. He wasn't sure if she was suddenly not feeling well, if he had done something wrong, or something else.
"I think you should pick one the one you like."
He offered a smile, trying to be helpful. It wouldn't do any good to match if she didn't like the dress, right?
"Okay."
A nod, Sheridan watched as she left for the dressing room. As he waited, he didn't dare move, lest he become lost in the store, instead looking around at the dresses he could see from where he stood.

Amphi gave him a last nod as the Clerk dragged her away and mouthed that she would be right back.
In the dressing room, she stared for a long while at the dress. She really like the color and design. She slowly undressed herself and slid the silky smooth. It fit her form perfectly and stilled allowed her a comfortable amount of room at the legs to move.
Her hands clenched the dress as the clerk ushered her out. "Don't you want to show your boil?" the Clerk smiled encouragingly as Amphi stepped out. It didn't take long to find Sheriden as she looked for the dragon.
"I, Uh...." She stood awkwardly in front of him, clenching the gown. "I..like...this...one." She whispered as she looked up at him, blue eyes looking into his silver. "What....does...it suit you?" she had left only her star necklace on with the dress as she fidgeted. She really really wanted to run away with embarrassment, oh she hoped he liked it.

The dragon had been quietly fidgeting while he waited, tail twitching, feet shifting where he stood. Hearing steps, he turned with a soft smile and then...he froze, his gaze completely captivated. Wow. She was beautiful in that dress, amazingly so.
"You look beautiful."
Oh god he was staring, the blush already wore glowing that much brighter at the realization. Then why was he still staring? Stop it, Sheridan!
"I...I like it."
He took a deep breath, trying his best to not stare, and trying in vain to keep from turning completely silver.

"I...I..." She was so bright red, and he was just staring and she wasn't sure just what was going on in his head and did he like or not like it and oh Jack, she didn't know what to do. "THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!!!!!!" She blushed, yelled and then ran away back to the dressing room and closing the door. Oh man this was going to be so awkward now, he had complimented her and she didn't know what to do and she.....leaning up against the door she tried to take a deep breath as she switched her clothing and then came out, speeding over to Sheriden. Her blush was heating her face all over as she avoided eye contact.
"I'll get it and then, we can go." She tucked her hand in his to give him reassurance after her brief run away before taking the gown to the counter and paying for it. With it tucked neatly into a dress bag, she came to stand awkwardly by the celestial dragon and debated on what to do. "We should go back yeah?" she tried to smile but her nerves we're really getting the better of her, "I can't wait to go to Prom with you now." She smiled up at him, trying to wear of the uneasiness she was having. She had never felt like this and wasn't all that sure how to deal with it.

Blink, blink. What was..why had she...had he said the wrong thing? He was so confused, his tail twitching nervously as he could only watch her retreat. He couldn't help thinking he should say something, but he didn't know what. So many books he had read, and none of them would have offered any help for him now.
A sigh of relief as she reemerged, a gentle smile.
"Okay."
He nodded, following after her toward the counter, still trying to think of something else to say.
"I'm glad you found a dress you like."
Another shy smile, a nod, he followed her out of the store. Suit and dress, he supposed they were as ready for the prom as they were going to be.
"Me too."

"Okay!" She tugged his hand as the exited the store and then the mall.
"I'll take you back to your dorm and then," She smiled, "Do you want me too meet you at the Prom room? Or do you want meet at our Dorms and then head TO prom?" she tapped her chin thoughtfully, "Oh, Here." She pulled out her Eyephone, a gift from her sisters for land walker communication. "Here's my eyephone number." She smiled at him as she handed him a slip of paper with her number on it and then walked him back to his dorm. "Thank you for shopping with me, I can't wait to see you again for prom." She cocked her head, "call me and let me know what you would like to do!" She waved as she rushed off to her own dorm now. There was a lot to do and not a lot of time. She wanted to let Sheriden have a awesome prom.

He was starting to get used to this hand-holding thing, maybe, well at least he was blushing a little less brightly. His tail flicked from side to side as he walked at her side. Odd, the walk back seemed much shorter than the walk there, strange how perception of time changed.
Oh umm...
Sheridan had been debating on the question, but before he could think of an answer she was already handing him a piece of paper. Oh, her phone number, he should give her his too right? But by the time he had gathered that thought, she was already rushing off.
"I um..I had a good time.'
He was blushing again!
"I'll...I'll pick you up!"
He called after her, though he was uncertain if she heard him. He'd call her later to tell her, that was the right thing to do right? It seemed right, going to the prom together seemed better than just meeting there. Maybe he should take flowers too. Prom, he could do this, right. (But that didn't mean he wasn't going to get his revenge on Petro!)
