Or maybe experiment with henna?
Henna? I've heard the term before but I don't know what that is. It's a temporary body dye.

Sounds right up my alley ^.^ I was always drawing on myself. I'm definitely going to look into that.

The people who sense things like a tail or wings I'm fine with, because they're not trying to tell me they're sekritly a budgie or something.

Ahaha...I get that feeling quite often actually...wings if I'm running late or in a situation I want to get out of and a tail when I'm happy... sweatdrop
I know I'm human...I just feel like I have extra limbs that are invisible to everyone including me... xp

I have a friend who does henna. It creates a sort of temporary tattoo. It basically stains your skin. You can also use it for hair dye. If you've ever been to Cedar Point, they have henna booths. They put it on with little squeeze bottles and you have to let it dry on your skin. The longer you leave it on, the darker the stain will be.

Lol me and a group of my friends were there today. After riding Ocean Motion a couple times and "cursing" the ride and after we rode Troika me and one of my friends went over and got small henna tattoos or our arms. But of course mine gets smudged while we were on Iron Dragon but it was dry enough and we cleaned some of it up in time that it still looks good.

I accept that there are people who believe they are otherkin and that this doesn't make everything else they have to say bs. Personally, the idea that there are "kinds" of souls seems ridiculous to me. Being stuck in a past life whether human or animal also seems ludicrous. It's the kind of thing I would think you'd want to seek help to move beyond instead of reveling in the past as it seems otherkin choose to do. Take the wisdom you value and move it forward to your current state, if it's not applicable then acknowledge that time is past.

I get going to get in touch with an animal part of self once in a while. I think most people have that connection to at least one animal and maybe more and it's probably healthy to express it once in a while, but being constantly in that state--I don't get it.

On the wings or tail topic: I've seen energy attachments to people that correlate to tails or wings before. We do collect energy in phantom limbs or possibly perceived/imagined/astral/thought formed limbs as much at actual ones. They mean different things to different people. The energy can be released or increased It's fascinating to see and wonderful when I'm working with someone who will let me inspect them a little. Sang you're not the only person who feels this kind of attachment is deeply personal. Mentioning seeing this kind of energy item can be tricky because for some people it's like I've just announced that I've seen them naked.

I have one guide with wings who when she steps into me it feels like those wings are mine. When I was getting used to this, sometimes she'd step in at a time when having a huge wing span would be really annoying. I have to admit it's kind of funny how in crowds people will avoid you if they feel like they're bumping into something they can't see but driving long distances with them pressed into the car seat is not as fun.

I too have felt wings on my back, always have for as long as I can remember. Sometimes the feeling gets so intense it effects my muscles in those places, they even start to knot up as if trying to hold up a heavy weight. Maybe the wings represent an awareness of the things that aren't there, like the fact that we are very open minded and understand the existence of spiritual beings.

If that were true then wouldn`t blindfaith also have wings when the guide steps out of her? And wouldn`t more, if not, all children feel them? I`ve met some very open minded people and i don`t feel anything about them. Not saying its not a possibility for some people.

I might be wrong, really I am just as puzzled by the wings as the next person, all I am doing right now is throwing suggestions out there at the moment until we can find more info on why they would be there.

This whole discussion is very interesting to me. When I was little I would pretend I was Leopard and would often act as if I had a tail. The issue for me isnt so much phantom limbs of energy or wings or tails or anything but what to do with this whole Bear thing. As I have stated elsewhere I really really like Bears. I feel quite connected to them. I also often refer to myself as a Bear because I seem very I dunno Bear-y to me. And its not just me that says it...most of my friends agree, my girlfriend and mother agree and it was some of my friends who originally gave me the nickname Koguma, or Bear Cub

Spiritual shapeshifting is simply another aspect to my practice of witchcraft, personally. I tend to think of it as one of the essential skills of a witch. In the otherworlds, and on other planes, we're purely spirit. There's no reason it can't be whatever shape we choose, or need, there. People with awareness sometimes see the spirit world overlapping the physical world; I guess I'm pretty blasé about it because it's perfectly in line with my understand and perspective of the universe.

Ok dragging this back up with a questions on the wings. Some of you know how me and two of my friends got rearended and how my shoulder got ******** up kinda. But for a while when I couldn't move my arm it felt like that wing was broken. Even though I've had movement in that arm and is almost 100% again that wing doesn't feel as damaged but I still can't move it. It feels like it just hangs there. I've been able to move the other one without much trouble. Do you guys think once I get my shoulder finally looked at and fixed that my wing will fix itself or would I have to find some way to fix it myself? I'm just curious to find out what you guys think.

Did healing your arm and shoulder require physical therapy? If the damage was that severe on your physical body and energy parts may also need to be go through a healing process. Energy work focused on clearing any injuries or blocked areas might help. Visualizing the wing, locating the damage and visualizing the healing corrective process could help. Practice stretching the wing or focusing on little movement until the strength increases.

I will need some physical therapy. I'm not sure if they is anything else because I still haven't been to see the doctor yet. But thank you for the advice. I will definately try that.

The idea of spiritual shifts, to me, seem pretty valid. If a person feels like an "otherkin" because they occasionally shift into this alternate mind-space, cool, good on ya'. Saying that you have a non-human soul doesn't quite sit well with me- it doesn't fit into my view on souls and humanity.

For a while I thought I was a therian, so I've thought a lot about these ideas and things. I feel like otherkin and therian are words, ideas even, that came to light after people experienced these phantom limbs and spiritual shifts. And from there kind of got dragged out into a bigger, more escapist fantasy. I've shifted many a time in my life. I don't believe my soul is canine, but I do believe I am working with/intune with/tied to canine spirits in my practice and throughout my life.
