She shrugged, then smiled, "I suppose we are very similar! I was not aware you had a brother, quite brilliant!" She smiled brightly, she was the only child, that she knew of at least. Her family had always talked about her having a much older brother, who went off to adventure off the world before he breed a family. Though she had never met him, she believed he was a made up myth to make herself feel better. She turned to Dark Tide, "My mother and father, well, I am not sure anymore. The last I know of them was near a forest by a waterfall." She smiled, then looked off into the water, "I might or might not have a brother."

"What do you mean might or might not? usually if you have a brother you KNOW you have one." he sighed with feined torture. He grinned at her. "Would you like to see Sandar Lake? It's not too far from this pond." he asked. The lake was a sight to behold, it's sheer size enchanted him and he hardly ever got tired of looking at it. He actually liked to swim in the lake as well but it took forever for his hair to dry after he went.

She shrugged, the calming voice again escaping her throat, "Well, I've never met him." She said trying not to look at the stallion, this was always a touchy subject for her, "I've heard lots of stories about him, how he is as plain and simple as I. He's supposed to be pure black, like my dad. With bright gold eyes like me, same length mane as me," she turned to look at him. "But to me, he is more like a myth than an actual sibling." The pure white mare grinned, "I would love to!"

"Your coat may be one color Genevive, but you are not simple. You are a beautiful and complex being and don't let anyone tell you otherwise." said Tide. "Great! say goodbye to the fish," he smiled, "the lake is just over here." he grinned. He was lucky to have known his parents and his brothers well. It was slightly surprising how many Azrein didn't remember their family or their past.

The mares eyes widened, what a wonderful compliment given by someone who barely knew her. Her face flushed, but she flipped her mane over her face in order to attempt to try to hide her now red cheeks. She swallowed quietly, allowing her face to cool down, and return to look back at the stallion in front of her.
She placed one hoof in the river, her soft voice coming out, "I bid you both adue. The pleasure was all mine." She giggled quietly as she turned to face him again, she was excited to see such a place. She had never seen a lake, well, she was not one of much travel. You would think one with such a spirited attitude would want to go and meet more people, but she was busy with her own thoughts, though she did love new places.
She coo'd quietly to the stallion as she smiled, "I am ever so excited!"

Tide leaned down and whispered to the fish. "Wish me luck guys," he said. "I really like her." All he got back from the fish was bubbles though and taking this as a good sign Tide led the way to the Sandar Lake, the largest body of water on the floating Isle.
He walked over a tall crest and beheld the giant lake. It was a peaceful scene. Sunlight glinted off the dark water and a pair of white herons took flight in the bright sunlight. A cool refreshing wind blew off the lake and disturbed his inky black mane and he inhaled the lovely fresh scent of lake water. It was clean and pure and brought great joy to his soul. He hoped that Genevive Sue would see this place as he saw it. A place of quiet life and joy. The beauty of mother nature in all her glory.
He turned his head slightly to look back to see if she followed and was almost blinded when the sun caught the sapphire at his neck. He stumbled a bit, blinking. He shifted and turned again. Was that any way to show off in front of a lady? His eyes smarted.

Genevieve's eyes widened, what a bueatiful place she had beem shown! Her mouth was slightly ajar, she had never realized how beautiful the world could be. Well, actually this was a lie. She had a good sight for beauty, rather yet, it was more of a talent. She said nothing, she rather liked the peace that surronded her. Her small eyes were caught by a lone yellow flower.
She giggled, looking at Dark Tide, than walking towards the flower. The flower was small, simple, and something that she admired, The way it glowed as it sat alone, next to the beauty of the land. She smiled, her voice an almost a whispere, "How beautiful of a place, yet even a simple flower can stand out all its own. I suppose me and this flower have much in common."
She looked to Tide, laughing as she noticed he had stumbled a small bit. Her ears twitched, "Oh Tide, what a wonderful friend I have made in you!"

"Why thank you sweet Genevive, I am honored to be counted as one of your friends. I believe that flower is called a Sweet Waxwing but I am not sure, I will have to ask my brother later as he knows his green things. he learned them well from our mother. I was too busy tripping over my hooves at the time. I was rather gangly as a colt you know." he grinned at her and came over to inspect her flower. "It is almost the color of your eyes, you know. If I remember correctly a poultice of the petals is supposed to be good for joint pain." His eyes crossed trying to remember his flower lore. his mother would have scolded him hotly. He looked up at their surroundings. "Funny how one simple flower can complete a landscape as awesome as this." he mused, gazing at the scenery. "Care for a bit of a swim Gen?" he asked with a little happy mischief in his eyes.

She giggled lightly, she was completely oblivious to the fact if anyone had ever felt feelings for her more than a friend. This was sometimes a bad sign for her, she would end up stepping on some other horses hooves, then feeling quite awful for doing so. The mare wasn't aware of other noticing her gold eyes, she gazed onto the flower, were her eyes so bright as this? She blinked as he talked, taking in his information. So it had a long name as well, she smiled at it, "Well, your brother must be knowledgable. Such as yourself! I wis I knew as much as you." She looked back to her tail, her bow still tightly fastened on.
Her ears perked, "Simplicity can sometimes be the most gorgeous form of bueaty you know!" She tilted her head as she approached the water. Her reflection stared back at her. Her tiny smile, her bright eyes, her pefectly white mane. She shook her head, kicking the water quietly, she was not a fan of looking at herself. She found the whole thing almost repulsing. She was a secret perfectionist, seeing a flaw in her face would only make her worry.
The white mares eyes widened again, "S-swim? Oh dear, I know nothing of how to do such a thing."

"Well my lady its a bit like walking underwater except you are afloat and your legs kind of take over in a weird way. Watch this." he said and slowly got in the water so as not to splash her or her bow. He went far enough out that he had to swim and took powerful strokes in the water. A tiny wake followed him wherever he went. "See Genevive, it's not to bad, although if you do come in make sure you tie your bow tight." he warned and then got out in front of her. He was sopping wet and looked comically droopy because of his long mane and tail." The only problem with swimming is that I stay wet for a while after i get out." he smiled at her, "All the mane you know." he shook slightly to fluff it up a little. "So have you met any handsome stallions lately?" he asked curiously, it was a wonder how she wasn't taken already.

She bit her lip, swimming, she couldn't possibly. The mare swallowed quietly, but she didn't want to disappoint the stallion she had just met, she took a step towards the water, her hooves going first, then her legs began to slowly go in. She sucked in a breath, then stepped back, "Oh gosh, I can't. I am so sorry, but I am to afraid to go any farther." She frowned slightly, but she couldn't help it.
She smiled at him, "Maybe another day, you can teach me in more shallow water?" Her golden eyes rested on the lake, her thoughts telling her it would be far to deep for her to learn in. Again her voice was sweet and soft as she relaxed in sun.
Her face flushed, "A nice stallion? W-well actually not yet." She flicked her ears, her face become slightly red. She wasn't sure why everyone always assumed she had a significant other, maybe it was because she cared so much about others. She shuffled on her hooves, "I, I guess no one has caught my fancy yet. I hope someone will soon, though." She bit her lip again, this was a true fact. She was a born lover, one who was always wanting to share her feelings to another. The right stallion had just not come along she assumed.
She looked to him, "And you?"

"It's alright Genevive, I'm not going to force you to swim. Perhaps it's more of an aquired taste, maybe we will hunt for some shallower water at some point." He smiled back reassuringly .
"I have been looking but so far no mare has quite felt the way I think they should." he furrowed his eyebrows. "It is so hard to explain. I want someone who is kind but can also laugh. Laughter is so important to a happy family. And I want someone I can settle down with. I don't know if I could flit between mares the way some stallions can. I believe all the different personalities might confuse me." he said. He stared off at the lake. "The one I fall for must appreciate simple beauty like your flower over there, as well as the big picture like the sun on the lake. But a lot of vanity just becomes a tad boring after a while, despite my own talk, deep down I know I'm not Azreth's gift to Azrein, I am just another stallion." he finished. trying to form some thoughts after his drawn out speech, he wasn't sure what else he wanted to say.

She bit her lip as she stared at her reflection, seeing as her hair was slightly out of place. She huffed internally, how on earth could anyone look at her as her hair was misplaced. She kept quiet about her feelings on herself, trying her best to turn her attention to Dark Tide. She smiled kindly, "I appreciate you going to take the time to show me."
She was greatful, teaching was possibly one of the hardest things to do. Sometimes a teacher and a students waves did not cross, ending in disaster, but she was sure she could keep up with him. Swiming was all about moving forward, or so she had guessed by watching the stallion before her dare his fate in the water.
As he spoke, she felt as though she was being described. Maybe it was the fact he had taken the time to point her our enjoying the simple things in life, her face flushed, she was used to being talked about in such manners, but it always caught her blushing. Gene was an interesting mare, she had a hard time with deciding if she could ever love, or not. She could more than love any one who walked into her life, but being in love was another world in her eyes. She closed her eyes as he spoke, listening to what he hoped and dreamed to find in a mare. It made her heart ache, if only she could find him that mare.
She opened her eyes to stare at the lake, "Every horse is a gift to Azrein. Each and everyone brings their own kind of gift to this world, sometimes we have a harder time seeing it than we'd like." She giggled softly, but this was not a joking giggle, "Such as I, I try to bring happiness to all those I meet." She turned to look at him, "And you bring a gift of new life, such as when you swim, thats your gift. Being able to swim and show others a whole new world."

He laughed. " A very wet world Gen." he said pointedly looking at his soggy mane. "But the fish seem to like it." Tide plucked some seaweed out of his mane. "However i don't need all these "Improvements" to my mane. Could you help get them off? Please? I can't reach all of them." Tide gave the frilly green seaweed a black look. "I don't see what the use of seaweed is. There are no horses down there to graze on it... are there?" he asked and peered deeply into the water. Some where out on the lake a fish jumped and startled him so he jumped. "Yeesh." he said.

She rolled her eyes at the stallion, laughing at him happily, "But another world still! You think it means nothing, though to many, its a joyus world." Her gold eyes looked upon his mane, watching as he pulled out the sea weed. She laughed at him, "Maybe there are other kinds of underwater horses!" She giggled, walking over and pulling out the small pieces of sea weed he could not reach. As she backed away, she watched him jump, causing her laugh to explode out. She held back her giggling, "Oh my! I am so sorry. That was just to funny!" She laughed a bit more, "That was really funny!"
