"No, but--!" Cass was all ready to spew off a whole bunch of information about his super cool weapon and uniform and adventures patrolling with b***h Lady. And then he realized that was probably a bad idea. They were in civilian form, and in his house, and anyone could be walking in at any second.
Not to mention, aliens probably had super hearing. Totally normal assumption.
"We shouldn't talk about this here," He finally concluded, and fate decided to confirm this as the noise of the front door way out past the hall surprised Cass so much he let out a startled little squeak that was totally not girly at all, no.
"Uggggh, I think doucheface is home," He grumbled.

Uh oh.
Johnny was about to agree that they should not talk about their adventures with darkness and chaos where someone could hear them. Unfortunately, he couldn't get that far and instead took to smashing himself into the carpet as a crude means of camouflage. Wait, if douchenozzle found him at Cass' house, where Cass was grounded, they'd be in deep doodoo. And nobody liked that. Skittering up to the window from whence he came, Johnny peeked out across the front lawn and driveway. Yep, there was a car there that wasn't there when he first arrived. Wonderful.
"Caaaaaassssss whaddu we do? I can't sneak out yet - I'll get spotted! Should I hide? Do you think I could fit under your bed?!"

"Um..." The first syllable out of Cass' mouth. And the second, third and fourth. "Um um umumum! Um! I'll check if the coast is clear," He said, skittering to his bedroom and opening it all sneakily.
As he was creeping out, he saw a shadow turn down the hall and he pressed himself against it, hoping to go invisible or something.
Instead his brother just shuffled on down the hall and only stopped for a second to give Cass a sideways glance and peer over at Johnny before rolling his eyes with a muttered, "Retards," and then slammed the door to his own room.
Only then did Cass come off the wall, looking up and down the hall and at his brother's closed door with a raised eyebrow before shrugging.
That wasn't how he was planning on things going down, but he'd take it. Apparently Alex had better things to do. Presumably calling some girl judging by the voice coming from his room. Cass hated how thin the walls were in this house. Didn't they realize he had secret agent of darkness things to do? And it just made him miss his old house all the more, the one they lived in before his parents split up.
"Hey, let's go somewhere else," Cass whispered to Johnny, waving him down the hall. If Alex was distracted now would be a good time for sneaky things.

While Johnny was busy huffing carpet lint, it became apparent that Alex didn't have the time nor the energy to deal with The Morons and simply disappeared into his room. Huh. The bluenette thought he was being sneaky by attempting to sink into the plush flooring, but didn't take into account he was wearing black... and the carpet was beige. Crisis averted, he stood up and poked his head out the door, staring at the closed entrance to the Cave of EvilAlex. "Weeeeeird." he whispered and started to tiptoe towards where Cass was headed.
"Where we goin', Cass?" came another harsh whisper. It was really too loud to even be called a whisper, but it wasn't like Johnny paid attention to such things. That would require thinking on his part.

"I dunno," Cas answered in a harsh whisper that... really couldn't count as a whisper.
He opened the back door and gave a wary glance to the empty driveway on the side of the house. Even though there was no chance dad would be back, part of him was still terrified he'd be pulling in any minute.
Basically, he just wanted to get away from his house before they started talking about freaky negaverse monsters and showed off their powers. But unfortunately, he also wasn't the sharpest little knife in the drawer and his big hide out was... just the tree house.
In his defense it was a really cool treehouse and he had decided it was the one plus of moving here, even though Alex had pointed out he was way too old to be playing in treehouses.
Cas climbed up to the wooden stronghold and turned on the little lantern inside, and then waited for Johnny before he flailed his arms around. "Have you harvested any energy yet?!" He half whispered excitedly.
