Forbidden had been entirely serious in her approach to the problem at hand. It would have been a small inconvenience on her part as she had found her home to be rather secluded. The mare cherished her solitude. But she had accepted and allowed Nivuxys into her heart and home. If the distance was too great for her stallion would it not be easier to move just a little closer?
Forbidden's eyes closed briefly. She was torn inside. This place would be perfect to raise a family but she didn't want to clip Niv's wings as it was by having him with her. She listened to Nivuxys speak before shuddering softly.
"Perhaps it would be best to remain. It just seems unfair to you to have to travel the distance between my home and yours. However this place of mine would be ideal for us when our dreams of having a family come to fruition."
The mare glanced around her home before sighing softly. "I'm just so confused Niv."

Nivuxys smiled and nodded at the mare. "If you wish to remain, I'll stay here with you. We'll wait for foals to come, and then when they're old enough we'll travel to see my family. They'll understand that we can't stay for too long. The foals will be tired of traveling and overly excited and we'll need to take them home before their poor little heads explode." The stallion chuckled a bit. He remembered being a foal and having everybody in the family make a fuss over him.
He furrowed his brow worriedly at the mare. "Confused about what, my darling? Please, if there's anything I can do, tell me."

Forbidden nodded in response to Nivuxys's idea. It did sound like an airtight plan. She wondered what the foals could possibly look like whenever they would arrive. They would be showered with love no matter what though.
Forbidden watched as Niv's expression changed when she admitted to being confused. How could she put into words how she felt about everything? Being as she was sometimes it was hard to articulate just what she wanted to say.
"It's this whole idea. I want to be happy. Having you here with me is wonderful. But it feels as if I'm tearing you away from your family. I know that you said that you can only spend so much time before it becomes too overbearing - but I still feel awful."
A faint glistening of tears appeared at the corners of the mare's eyes. She truly felt miserable. "Am I awful for thinking such things?"

Nivuxys smiled comfortingly at the mare. "My dear Forbidden, please look at me. Nothing you could ever do would be awful. And you're not tearing me away, I promise. If I felt that way, I would not have offered to stay with you. I'm staying because I love you and I want to be with you. Now please don't cry." He nuzzled her gently before gingerly wiping the tears from her eyes with a wing.
The stallion held in a sigh in fear of further upsetting the mare. He didn't care where he was as long as his mate was with him. "If I feel I need to see my family, I'll take a day and go see them. I'll be back before nightfall." He nodded and nuzzled her more in an attempt to calm her worries.

Forbidden heard the words that Nivuxys spoke to her. It calmed her just enough to realize that what he said was the truth. She'd been so worried while he was gone that there might have been a change of heart involved but to realize that she was wrong when he had returned sent her fears away - if just for a little while it seemed. Her offer to move had been one of fear. She didn't want to lose what she had in life and the change would have been too hard to bear. Hearing that Niv wanted to stay with her was more than she could believe.
Her wings fluttered softly at the touch of his wings as he brushed away her tears and she returned the nuzzle with a hesitant air. She let the moment freeze for a moment before sighing.
"I'm being fair foolish I guess for thinking things like that. It's just very confusing for me sometimes to understand the needs of others. I've always been alone and having someone by my side now is more than I could have ever hoped. I am new to this feeling of being cherished by another."
Here she let a small smile play over her face. "But I can't say that I'm not enjoying the time we spend together."

Niv had known that the flutter didn't really want to move. He secretly worried about how such a change in lifestyle would affect the mare. Maybe him being around all the time would be too much for her after living alone for so long. He stretched one of his wings before nuzzling her gently.
"You aren't foolish, my love. You're just caring and conscious of the fact that others may be unable to adjust to something like this." He smiled and nodded reassuringly. "And you'd better get used to the feeling, because I'm going to be around for a long time."

Forbidden let her eyes close at Niv's nuzzle. His words washed over her like a gentle breeze. The compliments that he bestowed on her left her feeling light as a feather. However, even though the stallion said that she wasn't foolish she still felt like it sometimes. Forbidden opened her eyes and gave another smile to her mate before fluttering her wings just a little. They had long since dried from trip through the waterfall. The mare had wondered at times if cleansing them that way was a bad idea.
Experimenting just a little she put effort into raising herself off the ground a few inches before setting back down. Her wings were just fine. Her attention returned to the matter at hand and she moved to lean against Niv's side. "I'm glad that you will be around. My life wouldn't be the same without you in it. Thank you Nivuxys - from the bottom of my heart."
