Zia nodded and offered a friendly smile at the fact she was doing the whole ranger thing. Maybe trying a little hard thanks to Aurora's mannerisms cluing her in to something still being wrong.
She eventually put two and two together. If Aurora was expecting a romantic little vacation and Azzo brought her up here where they were stuck working together, she could definitely see how her presence would ruin things. Maybe not as an 'other woman' but as someone who should not be around while they were being goofy teenagers trying to romance each other in their goofy teenager way.
The fact he was flaunting his civilian identity to her took second tier to this whole issue of Azzo being the most insensitive oaf to ever screw up a date. Senshi and knight issues be damned. She grabbed her flip-flop off her shoe and slapped Azzo in the arm with it. "Azzo, you moron. If she's not going to beat you, I am. You moron." The fact he was offering to set her up a tent in the mud and the rain was like the cherry on the screw-up sundae.
"You didn't once think maybe there was something a tiny bit wrong bringing your date up here with a surprise third wheel? And now you're trying to convince her to go sleep in the rain?" Yeah, she hit him again, just reminding herself of all the stupid that had just happened. "No wonder it took you two years to get to this point! you're the worst date ever." She stopped her assault of hoping to beat good date manners into his head to run around and start grabbing stuff. "I'll just go sneak in to one of the counselor's cabins. I know a few of the senior counselors," She announced before stopping her frantic packing in mid run to turn to Aurora and add "I am so sorry."

He was being dreadfully oblivious. But then when wasn't he. Azzo was inherently sweet and brave and tons of other things. But he was very.. painfully oblivious.
His offer to set up the tent was met with a soft frown, trying to shoe away the idea in one of her most motherly voice. "You'll catch a cold and make a mess if you do it now. Why not just help me do something with the food in the bag" She motioned softly towards the duffle on the ground, as she shifted the towel down to her waist, working to try and keep from making any more of a puddle.
She had brought some of the things he'd asked for.. ingredients for pancakes.. some fresh fruit.. a few other small things for adding a bit of flavor and flare to the things they might already be cooking. But tucked away was also the dinner that she'd spent over an hour on. Two little cornish hens stuffed with a mixture of vegetables and cheese, a small caserole, and of course the chocolate cake drowning in strawberries and fresh whipped creme. It didn't particularly matter that there were only two when there were three there. For some mysterious reason Aurora had lost her appetite.
But then something magical happened.
Whether it was woman's intuition or simply experience Zia had seemed to clue in on to what was wrong. Or atleast some version of it. And all the fretting and worry that had bombarded Aurora was quickly deflated.
She still had some questions.. and some worries. But it was fairly obvious the two hadn't been up here living like lovers. Unless of course Azzo really WAS into being hit and beaten around..
The fact that she knew so many details about the two of them darkened Aurora's tanned cheeks with a splash of pink. But she was too busy trying to reassure the other girl to notice. "Ohhh! Please don't feel like you need to run off."
"I'll only be here for a day or two and I really didn't intend on getting in your way or anything."

Azzo frowned, "It could be worse?" He offered unsure what else to say. "Oh right, the food." He went to pick up the bags, "The fridge is back here..." He paused when Zia started running around packing. He blinked, looking at Aurora then Zia.
"Wait... a minute." He looked at Aurora who'd seemed to cheer up brows furrowed. Yeah he clued in a little too late for that one, "Oh come on Polaris you can't be serious! Shes' a Cat!"
He frowned at both of them, "Seriously, do I really seem that stupid!?" He paused looking at Zia, "And don't answer that, I know what you'll say." He was looking at Aurora though for an answer.

Zia stopped in mid packing to drop her bag and shoot Azzo a death glare. A looong glare.
Secret. Identities. Secret. The word secret. Did he not understand these things?
Maybe Aurora would brush it off. Being a cat was patently ridiculous, so she figured, if she maybe didn't freak out on him just now, there was a chance of this just slipping on by.

Apparently it was Aurora's turn to be oblivious. Not that one could blame her.
She's a cat was a bizzare and awkward statement to begin with. Even if Aurora had had her mind on the senshi game instead of well.. lala teenage angst land the lack of cat ears and tail on the other girl would have pushed away any thoughts of her being a 'special' cat.
Azzo received no answer for his question, only a second set of staring eyes. Though Aurora's were more confused then death wishing.
"Is that.. supposed to be.. slang or something?" The crystal girl was hardly up on her slang.
But then she realized what he had called her.. something that almost slipped by because of how often he called her it. And the fact that he'd seemed unconcerned being powered up in front of her. Her gaze instead turned curiously towards the other girl.
Senshi? Had Azzo found another pet senshi to follow around when she wasn't about?
"I think.. maybe you should stop talking Niflhel.." She warned him wearily. Leave it to Azzo to accidentally out a whole slew of people. What if the other girl had been with the negaverse?

Azzo literally face palmed, for the second time that week, he then threw his hands up. "Fine. Fine. Have it your way." He took the food to the fridge, "Ya'll both can death stare me but I can't help we're all on the same side here."
"Zia's a FRIEND. F-R-I-E-N-D." He looked back at Aurora, "You can't tell me you're going to be jealous she's probably wondering how you ended up with stupid old me, and I know she hates me. We argue like sibblings." He shook his he head ranting as he put the food in making sure they could HEAR him from the other room.
"Really I'm hurt. If you can't trust me then what.... is this what war has done to everyone around here? Secretly suspicious of whoever the next person is to walk through the door?" He whistled for Merlin as he was walking out of the Kitchen, who came running out of a room. "Maybe this was a bad idea..." He leaned against the doorway rubbing a temple, while Merlin sat beside of him.
"You're right I don't know what I'm doing." He looked at Zia, knowing Zirconia was there somewhere. "You can gloat later...." He seemed to think, and with a frown he shook his head and looked down. He seemed to be trying to figure out what to do, they were both mad at him and well this was just turning out to be horrible.
"I should just go pitch the tent and sleep in it and give Aurora my room while she's here." He muttered looking at Merlin who's tail was wagging. "Catching a cold be damned, 'cause we sure don't have a dog house here."

What Zia wouldn't give for something to just bash her head against over and over and over.
Actually, she figured beating Azzo would be more productive. Rather than just using her shoe to punctuate all her points about how Azzo was a stupid, stupid date, this time she attacked him with a barrage of slaps from her flip flop.
"You. Do. Not. Just. Out. People. You. a*****e." She yelled, each word followed by another smack. Polaris? Yeah, she picked up on that name, but she had hoped if she ignored it, it would go away. It wasn't, and from the way Azzo was talking, she figured Aurora was another one with a secret identity. Knight or senshi? She didn't know which but probably maybe definitely not negaverse. Azzo wasn't that stupid, right?
Right?
Granted, Azzo only knew who she was when she was new to this war thing and wasn't especially careful, but there were bigger issues now! Issues like the negaverse wanting to obliterate her and her team and some serious danger.
If he was willing to continue his dramatic emo parade out into the rain and sleep in a soggy tent, she wasn't going to stop him now.

Aurora's perfect daydream of a day was so ridiculously far from the burning plane wreak, crashed into a train, that had hit a semi truck of a disaster that this had become that it was getting hard to believe the idea had ever exsisted.
Azzo was wandering off.. attempting very hard it seemed to guilt trip her. She was usually fairly suseptable to his guilt and pity parties, but there was too much going on for that now.
An assault of shoes unfolded in front of her.. one.. two.. three full slaps sounding before she hurried forward, trying to break up the situation.
"Children!!" She piped up in that cutting voice that mimiced an old school maid, or an angry mother. Yes they were both older than her.. it didn't mean she wasn't going to try her darndest to try and stop the squabble. They really were like siblings.
Her hands wrapped around Azzo's arms, trying to pull him back from Zia as she spoke, having forgotten and left her towel off in the direction of her enterance puddle. "We are all very stressed and surprised I am sure. But hitting each other isn't going to solve anything."
Her eyes met Azzo's, insisting softly but sternly. "Take a deep breath and think about things before you say them please."
And to Zia, who received an exasperated look of apology, and a silent plea not to be hit by a shoe, she added lightly. "I'm sorry about that. Perhaps we can meet again sometime under more pleasant terms" She didn't think she needed to imply any further that by meet she wasn't talking about the two girls standing in front of each other.

Azzo didn't flinch as he was hit it was as if something broke but his face went blank. He was staring at Zia and then Aurora as she tried to pull him back. This whole night was ruined, and he almost wished he was back home. He removed himself from Aurora's grasp, "I'm an a*****e." He repeated softly before walking away from them.
"And here I thought two friends of mine would get along... and instead I ruin everything." Merlin was following him Azzo looked down at the noise of the claws clacking beside him, before giving Merlin a short command to stay.
He shrugged, "Like I said you're right." He was heading towards the door before opening it and leaning there watching the rain. He glanced down at the tent. What he wouldn't give for a punching bag right now. Even in a two story cabin you'd think they would at least have some simple work out equipment. "I just screw up everything..." Gramps would be disappointed...

Zia was easily deterred from beating on Azzo further once she got her initial slap filled sentence out. she dropped the shoe at Aurora's urging, but the glare meant special for Azzo stayed very firmly. When Aurora mentioned meeting under more 'pleasant terms' all she could muster was a flat 'yeah'.
When he continued the emo parade to the door, she just put her hands on her hips and waited. If he wanted to stand dramatically in the rain, that's his business.
"No one's feeling sorry for you over here!" She announced. "But seriously, dumbass, if you pull that again, I'm going to kill you. And then Ares will kill you. And then if, somehow, you're still twitching, I'll try my hand at it again."
And oooh boy did she mean it. Logical issues about killing a person multiple times aside, Zirconia was not pleased with this development.

He wasn't listening. No matter what she said or did he was just spiraling downward in his emo. She could almost SEE the figurative cloud formed above his head and raining on his parade as he stood in the doorway insulting himself.
Aurora saw two options to potentially remedy it, though whether either would work.. was anyone's guess.
She could throw a temper tantrum of her own.. and emo guilt trip the hell out of him with a tirade of how 'horrible' her day was. He was always very good and very giving when it came time for cheering her up. But she hardly wanted the other girl to hear or see that display of childishness.
So instead she went with option two. Food. The ever constant healer and comforter of the dark haired boy.
"Are either of you hungry? I think I'll go warm up the dinner I brought along before it sits any longer and gets any less fresh." She walked over to pick up her towel, intent on hanging it someplace to dry and not just leaving it on the floor like.. well.. a guy.
Her hand patted Merlin's head momentarily as she passed him and headed off towards the kitchen she'd seen Azzo come from just a few moments before.

Azzo glanced back at Zia, "Don't need anyone feeling sorry for me." He countered, "And good, maybe that'd be for the best." His eyes had narrowed slightly before looked back towards the rain, he wasn't going to standing in it but he wanted to go walk.
Aurora said food, Azzo turned once again to watch her head off towards the kitchen. He frowned and then suddenly walked out, "I need a walk." He said softly with a shake of his head. "I'll be back later, just don't kill Aurora alright?" He closed the door behind him quietly leaving the tent and Merlin. Walking out into the rain, Azzo wasn't hungry and he wasn't sure how much food she'd actually brought so letting the girls eat their fill was probably best.
Not to mention he was headed down towards the lake. If nothing else he could work on some kick boxing moves to try and clear his head. It seemed like the easiest option after all, and with the rain the girls weren't likely to follow him.
