Love smirked. "Happy as any real life story." He shook his head. "Little Falcon was told he would be going on a hunting party... there was a pack of wolves that seemed a little out of their minds." He shook his head. He had seen it before in some of the village dogs... "The animals were promptly put out of their misery...." He glanced up.
"However, on the return trip Little Falcon reined me in.... He called ahead to let them know i needed a walk and that he was going to let me cool down some..."

War was enraptured with his story. She wanted to hear of his adventure.Her eyes moved between her brother and what she assumed was her other brother. She snorted and looked between the two once more. "What happened next."

"Well i will tell you... we hiked up into the mountains until the path became too narrow for me to pass through." He sighed. "As we turned back we picked up the pace a bit...I thought it was because he was hungry... I thought he wanted to get back to a warm meal..."'

He shook his head. "I was so happy to be with Little Falcon i didn't hear the cat's claws tic on the stone floor of the cave above." He closed his eyes. "The cat came out of no where and pulled my rider right off my back." He shook his head. "He called out in anguish as the cat took his life. But before it could finish and eat its prey... i got it back... one swift hoof crushed its skull"
He sighed. "I stayed with him until someone found us...The tribe skinned the beast and put him upon my back as a trophy of my kill."

War frowned and looked at the pelt that was on Love's back. " Thats so terrible...." She wanted to comfort him but the look battle was giving off warned her not to. "Whats wrong bat?"
Bat snorted and shook his head. He had figured it out... "Love stories..." He hadn't heard most of the last part... he had stopped listening when he had heard the time frame and the situations. "How could you let them take us!"

Love Stories shook his head. "I couldn't do anything... I wished some day we would be reunited... and now we have. You two have grown into lovely adults... I would have recognized my siblings anywhere! But you are so different now." He glanced to War. "You have matured into such a lovely mare... And Battle... you would have made any rider proud to ride into battle upon your back."

War rushed in to press her nose to her long lost brothers. "Love... We have missed you deeply."
Battle snorted and shook his head. "Speak for yourself...He abandoned us... he didn't even try to stop us from being sold." He reared and crashed down on his hooves. "I wont have it.... Leave... or fight me!"
War cried out. "Battle...what will that solve!"

Love snorted and pushed himself to his feet. "I don't want to fight you brother... i want to apologize and make all things right again." Battle snorted. But Love pressed on. " I never wanted to hurt you... but i had no choice... i couldn't protect you anymore... and now you are strong and beautiful horses..."

Battle Snorted and barked an angry sound. He couldn't believe love just expected things to be alright. He grit his teeth and reared up. "Fight me!" He landed and charged forward. His breath came in and huffed back out. "I will kill you"

Love stepped in front of his sister prepared to take the blow. He knew he had taken worse... however he would not fight his brother. His pelt bristled with the tension only a fight could bring. He forced the feelings away and held his head high.

War cried out in anger. How dare he think she needed protection. She launched herself around love to place herself in Battle's way. "Stop... You don't need to fight him...We will just continue our journey... what would it help if you got hurt..." She raised her chin and looked to love stories... "We will just leave you to your own devices to get back where ever you came from."
She waited half a moment and then turned back and said. "I have missed you brother... and i expect we shall see each other again..."

Battle had come to a dead halt. His eyes narrowed and he snorted in anger. "War...I..." He had to stop... she was right... like always. He sighed and flicked his tail... "You got lucky this time Love stories... But next time you won't be so lucky..."

Love raised his chin. He hated to leave things this way. It was hard to stomach the fact that his siblings now hated him. He watched them go a moment and then looked around. He would have to return to Carnivore and see what had been happening while he was gone.

War stories looked over her shoulder. She didn't want to leave him standing there. Not when all she had wanted to do for the last two years was find him. She let out a soft whinny to let him know she was saying good bye. When she heard his call back she reared and took off.

Battle stomped his foot. Patients was not his virtue. "Lets go War... We are not going to see him again... we are just going to leave him... and he can go rot in a gutter somewhere..." He flicked his tail and Stormed off before his sister...he heard her call a goodbye and then chase after him.
