A purple-haired head peeked out of behind it's makeshift hiding spot. "Im fine... I-is it gone ?" He tentatively wriggled out of behind his set of boxes, carefully side-stepping Themis. This was also a good guy, right ?
Ngh. So damn confusing.
"...Isn't that norse mythology ?" Themis said out loud, looking puzzled. "Uh, I mean... Your name. You know." He looked a little sheepish all of sudden. "Sorry. Sailor Themis."
"So you guys arn't... senshi, right ?" He'd gathered that much. "I've only met Camelot, so I don't really know a whole lot..." Hell, he'd been there to see Camelot being born, so to say. It still didn't make him less confused on the matter.
"So what are you guys ?" He sounded honestly curious. "And do you know how many of you there are ? Like I said, I only ever ran into Camelot and you..."

Valhalla went over to Daniel to check for himself to make sure he was okay, checking out the place where hair had been yanked from his head, before turning to the senshi with a nod.
"Yeah, weird, isn't it?" He didn't know why he was named after some Norse mythological place, but he was... He already got nagged about questioning it, though. Apparently the war going on was more important than understanding identity.
"No, I don't think so," he continued to answer Sailor Themis's questions. "We're knights..." he explained, nodding when he mentioned Camelot. "I've only met Camelot, too... But he told me he's met others." And that was better than none.
He paused, looking Themis over. "You're not a normal senshi, are you...?" he wondered, still able to feel his energy. It was definitely different than the other senshi he'd met.

Daniel looked more of less fine - a missing curl and a bit of now dry blood from the yanking, but that was all, really. This could have certainly gone a lot worse, considering.
He was, however, silent as he often tended to be when he was overwhelmed. And hell... Who could blame him ?
"Hmmm.." Themis looked more thoughtful than anything else. And he didn't look like he was about to start nagging. "All our names run into themes. All of them. Senshi are celestial bodies - stars, planets, asteroids, have at it - and... I guess knights are named after legends ?"
What did this all meant ? Unfortunately, there was little he could tell about that. Maybe he should drop by to see how Camelot was doing...
Not a... "Oh, I am a super senshi." He said. "There are ranks... different degrees of power. Negaverse agents have them, too, so if you feel like... a completely overwhelming dark presence... Just do you best to avoid it."

He kept glancing warily over to Daniel, trying to figure out just how well his friend was handling everything. And no, no one could blame him from being overwhelmed. Now was a matter of deciding if he wanted to risk leaving him to his own devices for the rest of the night, or offering to keep him company. Then again, he might just need some time to collect his thoughts and... breathe.
Valhalla nodded in understanding to Themis's explanation. He'd met one other 'super senshi' but he wasn't told what they were or why they were like that.
"Depends on who you ask," he said in response to being named after a legend. "I think the theory is... are they really legends if we're named the same...? Themis is a celestial body that exists somewhere in the universe, isn't it...?" With that theory, he could understand why his cat friend was making such a fuss about how he was wasting his time with trying to understand the mythology of it.
"Thank you," he said to the senshi after a few moments, although he turned to glance over Daniel once more, as if he was expecting him to freak out at random. "For your help... I don't think I would have been able to handle that on my own." And then where would he be? What about Daniel?
"I've heard it was bad to linger in one place for too long while like this," he continued, wondering if the advice to disperse when teaming up was no longer necessary was along the same lines with what Themis thought, too. "Thank you, again... If there's anything I can do for you in the future, I would be more than happy to lend a hand."

"It is." Themis said, in answer of his namesake being a celestial body. An asteroid, to be more precise. He knew... Very well, having seen it firsthand.
But it seemed useless to try to overload the knight's mind with things that did not even apply to him, so he kept that part silent.
"It can be a bad thing." He should get going, really. "Sure, and likewise, if you need a hand..." He was always willing to help, really.
And so, Themis was off, leaving Valhalla with his poor, still frazzled friend.

Valhalla watched as the senshi turned to leave and making sure he was at least a decent distance away before grabbing onto Daniel's shoulder to usher him away from the scene. When he was certain there was no one around to see him, the knight powered down to his every day self, not wanting to unintentionally lure more monsters to them.
"Are you going to be okay?" he asked, obviously concerned about his friend and taking a moment to get a better look at his scalp. It helped that he was tall, himself. "That thing really got you. But it doesn't look too horrible," he said. Better than it could have been, at least.

Poor Daniel nearly yelped as he was dragged away, but had the presence of mind to keep it bottled in, through the poor boy was pretty frazzled and confused.
Who could blame him, really ?
"I... Think im fine..." He moved to touch the top of his head, wincing a bit. "Does it look bad ? Doesn't look like it's bleeding..."
Some dried over blood, really, but overall nothing to fuss over too much. "H-How long have you been doing this ?" Now that the immediate threat was gone, Daniel's curiosity took over - and damn did he had a lot of questions now.

Chris paused to look over his scalp again, shaking his head at his friend. "No, it's not bad. Just a little rough. It's imagine it would be back to normal in a couple weeks," he told him, not wanting him to worry about it too much. It was just a chuck of hair and not, like, his entire arm. Now, that would be bad.
He winced at the question directed at him, able to tell that Daniel was curious. "Well... Let's head to your place, at least... I don't want you out in the streets..." he mumbled, reaching out to start ushering him again before answering his question.
"About mid-May..." he said, looking around to make sure no one was around to overhear. "There was a monster and a compass appeared out of thin air... I touched it and I changed. I wanted to tell you I just... didn't know how." It was a lame excuse, but it was the truth. How did he go about telling people that he was a strange viking-like superhero of sorts?

It wasn't so much vanity than the fear that he might have gotten his scalp ripped off, which thankfully hadn't seemed to be the case, so he let it go rather easily, and seemed more than happy to let himself be led back home by his friend.
That was enough... 'excitement' for one night.
"That's really strange..." Hell, he couldn't really blame Chris - he wasn't sure if he would have believed him if he hadn't seen it, really. "Has to do with the monsters themselves, yeah ?"

Nope, no scalp ripping. At least not entirely. Er, not that bad, at least.
Chris shook his head, not really knowing how to answer him. "I'm not sure. I think it might have to do with the monsters being around, but I think I've always been like this. Like... I feel like this isn't new for me, being... being Valhalla," he said, lowering his voice so no one lingering in the shadows would overhear. "It is really strange... Apparently senshi are woken by cats, though. Like that guy we saw. If a cat talks to you, run the other way," he said with a grumble, not wanting Daniel to be pulled into this more than he already was.
"And if a random object appears out of thin air in front of you, run the other way. And if there's a monster, run the other way and call me. Or if there's some strange person dressed in really strange clothes, like knights and senshi, only they look like they might be literally insane, or are telling you they're going to take your energy, then run the other way, too."
He really should just tell him to run for... everything. What next? Rogue pigeons?

That was a lot of running, but... he was inclined to agree.
He liked being alive. Through... Talking cats ? Seriously ? The others, okay.
But talking cats was something he couldn't really take seriously. What was this, a japanese anime ?
"A... legacy, maybe ?" Through, to be something else, something more than you... In some way, that had to be at least nice on some level, wasn't it ? After all, he wrote these kind of things. People loved these kind of stories. The strong hero who is but ordinary underneath.
He'd certainly never thought he'd ever see it in reality, through, and in a way he wasn't sure what to think about all this. His whole notion of reality was getting shot to hell right now.

Yeah, talking cats. And if it was his secret to tell, he would have happily let Daniel know that the girl he'd lived next to since he was in middle school was one of those cats. Who would go through mirrors. But that was for another day.
"Maybe," Chris said with a small shrug, not knowing what it meant and not thinking he was creative enough to even start imagining what was going on.
"This is your building, isn't it?" he asked curiously, glancing up at the building he'd stopped in front of. "I wish you lived closer to me. I'm a good four blocks away."
He paused, shaking his head and not wanting Daniel to think that he was worried about himself. It was his friend's safety he was concerned about. "So I could keep a closer eye on you, I mean. I don't like how these monsters are coming out and deciding you're a good target."
They could at least pick on someone their own magic strength... Even if Chris didn't have any kind of magic, anyway.

Maybe it was. Daniel couldn't stop thinking about it now. His curiosity was all but flared, and poor Chris probably knew that once his curiosity was flared...
Well. Keeping him out of this was going to be harder than that, really.
"Yeah, it is." He nodded. The statement seemed to catch him for a loop, but the clarification made him understand. "Well, I've never seen anything pop up right here..."
A pause.
"You wanna come inside for a bit ? I don't think I ever showed you what my apartment look like ?" Convinent excuse - suddenly he didn't really want to be alone anymore.

Erk, yeah, maybe he should have kept his mouth shut about all the strange and magical things happening around the city. Daniel being curious about things, well... that just lead to more trouble. There was only so much he could do to keep him safe, and if he started getting more involved, well... he was going to have to put some kind of GPS chip into his watch or something crazy like that so he could keep track of him.
A little obsessive?? Maybe, but Daniel had been one of his closest friends over the past several years. It was a little difficult not to be obsessive when he knew the trouble the once exchange student could get himself into.
Chris paused to think about the offer, but only for a moment before smiling and nodding. "Yeah, I'd like that." It was a very convenient excuse — he wasn't all that thrilled about leaving his friend on his own, either.
