Quote: Gonna catch Oasis check: 280 vs 100 = 68% or less to pass.(200 + 80) + 1/2(66) = 346 vs 100 = 74% - 5%= 69% (oh baby, oh baby) 69 or less!Despite the glow that could be seen from the other side of the pit, there was a sense of anxiety in Oasis' voice as she tried the jump. Even with the small light from her markings, she must have misjudged her distance because the glowing suddenly stopped as she plummeted downwards. Kuro raced towards the edge and stood by Hibiki as they both stared down the hole. There was the faintest of light near the bottom (which made the Inuzuka wonder how far the hole really went underground) as Oasis eased his nerves a bit by saying she was ok and was going to make it back up."Just be careful!" He shouted back towards the light. It was moments before she reached the top, without the scent of blood, and apologized for her action. Hibiki shrugged, At least she's alright, no wounds or anything from what I see... She seemed to rebound well after her fall, for it took no time for her to regain her courage. She backed up and performed the same action as before, but with more perfection. However, it didn't seem to be enough as she cried out and flung her arm out for help. Hibiki grabbed her outstretched hand just in time, or rather, what seemed to be in time. Her momentum quickly put more strain on the Inuzuka's grip, but was still able to hold onto her with both hands. However, his small frame wasn't built for flying kunoichi's and his body was slowly being dragged towards the pit. "Kiraaaa~!, I need your help!" He grunted through gritted teeth. "I have a hold of her, but I need help getting her up!"

Kira was watching the strange glow as it seemed to bob around in the darkness. His only assumption was that his strange glow was Oasis. As it began to get closer and glow a bit brighter it seemed as though she ws about to jump until he watched the glow sink intot he earth. Kira heard the quick shuffle of Hibiki lunging to save her, and he couldn't help but feel his reflexes kick in because he was right there beside him. KIra had a hold of her arm and was helping pull with all his might. Oasis wasn't a large girl, but his injuries made the affair seem more difficult than it probobly was. With hibikis help they were able to pull her out of the hole.

Oasis grabbed ahold of Hibiki gratefully however she was surprised when it seemed he wouldn't be able to actually catch her. Oasis went wide-eyed for a moment until Kira helped and they were able to pull her onto solid groun and safety. Then it hit her "hey, I'm not that fat." she complains as she looked at the two of them, either they really needed to do some weight lifting, or Oasis wasn't as petite as she thought. She blinked a few times and scrunched up her face the glow from earlier was slowly fading off seeing as she wasn't focused anymore. "Thanks guys." she adds after a bit as she dusted herself off. "So, are you okay Kira?" She questions now that the previous ordeal was over she could wonder more about his current condition. She didn't have a sensative nose, but her ears were pretty awesome and the sounds he made when he was falling didn't sound good, and the sounds she was hearing in the distance also, didn't sound good. "Anyone else... hear that?" she qestions quietly as she heard faintly some strange sounds of motion or something ahead of them. "Uh, lets go ahead, and continue with the whole, 'being careful' thing..." she states with a bit of a sheepish grin.

Oasis seemed irritated that it took the two of them to lift her up. Well if you weren't going so fast... He grumbled mentally as her short attention span shifted from her weight, to Kira's injuries, to, finally, an odd noise. Hibiki closed his eyes as he tried to focus his own thoughts. There indeed was something moving up ahead, "Yes, I do hear something. It doesn't sound...too dangerous. In fact, it sounds rhythmic... He let that thought trail off as he turned towards the dim corridor. "As if whatever is making the noise is repeating the same action. Like giant swinging scythes tipped with toxic poisons or something..."
Kuro whined as Hibiki pressed on in the dark, albeit more carefully than before. He didn't want to cause another injury within the group. "Oh Kuro, you know that IF there were giant swinging scythes with deadly toxins that it would be made more difficult. That trap would be a breeze for any Genin if it was just giant ninja tools." Kuro now growled to show his agitation with his partner. The thought of adding more stuff to giant swinging scythes made him feel even less confident in his ability.

Hibiki chuckled darkly at his own humor, "How you guys holdin' up? You alright, Kira? Oasis?" He called out over his shoulder.

Kira looked at the girl with an offended glare. There was no way in hell Kira could think this girl was fat. She was patit and.. Kira felt his eyes begin to trace her body before snapping back to his glare. "You do know that you had some momentum to that fall right? On top of that Hibiki isn't that heavy. Then we can add on my injuries and come to the idea that we were having a hard time not because you are heavy but because of natural physics and medical complications... Kira started off kind of harsh then drifted to his normal self. He smiled slowly and replied "I'm doin alright, thanks for asking. The injuries aren't horrible and should heal once we get out of here.. hopefully I can see a medic. Kira walked a ways with Hibiki at the lead again. Through the dark tunnel they went. The three of them, quite an odd group when you think about it. "I'ma leave all the leading to you Hibiki, let me know when you need me. I'm sorry if I become a bit of a burden.

Oasis nodded her head lightly, though she didn't really get the whole 'physics' thing he was talking about, her falling and moving fast made sense. "yea... alright then." she states with a shrug as she took up the rear of the group again. "I'm glad you aren't seriously hurt." She states as they continued towards the strangely rhythmic sound that she, and Hibiki had heard earlier. "I... really hope it isn't some sort of swinging scythe thing..." she mewled lightly as she thought about what that would entail. She didn't have any really destructive jutsu which would help her break such a trap so what was she going to about whatever this was. Though as they drew closer the sound, started to sound most certainly larger in nature. Like something really big moving around, really really scythes? she blinked and shook her head, that would must assuredly be shenanigans. Oasis nearly tripped when the ground suddenly heaved upward, the tunnel from the bit she could see ahead was becoming oddly configured as the ground was in some sort of random hill-like formation. Rising and falling dramatically, she moved in carefully behind the group. "The sounds... they sound more mechanical now." she states when they came to a low spot in the path before another climb up on the oddly shaped terrain.

Hibiki sighed, he didn't really like leading all too much. Despite his need to be the center of attention, he hated being the leader. It presented him with the inability to flee in the sign of danger. Hiding from enemy shinobi and pouncing on them when they least expected it was what he was taught most of the time. He shrugged it off, nothing he could do about it
However, Oasis' comment about the scythes made him chuckle, "I doubt it's anything like that, but we cannot expect much from the Chuunin exams. I heard about this one time that they constructed this huge labyrinth made somewhere near The Hidden Sound Village. They released all of the Genin inside and told them to find some objects. It was a bloodbath in some places. Then, they were sorted into teams and placed into a mission. With all sorts of traps....similar to this I guess." He prattled on, barely registering what Oasis said about the sound or how odd the path was becoming.

"The third test they had was an obvious one they have been doing for years. A battle against other Shinobi in a tournament style." A chill wriggled it's way up his spine. It was slightly exhilarating being able to fight other people from different countries. However, the chill crawled out of Hibiki's body as he finally noticed the sound the Wind Kunoichi pointed out. It was an irritating noise. "You're right. Definitely mechanical."

The path finally went into an upwards slope before widening up a bit. "Oh damn..." Hibiki mumbled as his eyes swept the area before him. Many panels, no wider than the width of two Shinobi, were floating about, moving from side to side, up and down, in circles, in squares, in octagons! It was ridiculous. "Well, I found the source of the ticking!" He exclaimed.

Kuro peeked around Hibiki's legs and watched each of the panel's movement. He yipped twice and then moved onto the next panel. The Inuzuka looked at him curiously, "What do you mean a pattern?" He replied with surprise. Looking over his shoulder, he looked to his two comrades, "Apparently, Kuro sees a pattern to this. Do you guys see anything?"

Kira watched for a moment trying to see if he could come up with the pattern. For a moment he felt as though he saw it, then something would change. He was so close every time to figuring it out, but Couldn't put together the final part. "I'm sorry I can't see it. I feel like there is one though it's not showing up for me. Anyone else want to give it a try before we leap again?"

What the hell are we supposed to..." He was suddenly cut-off by an incessant yipping from his ally. Kuro had found something that Hibiki didn't pay much attention to. His eyes scanned the panels while his frustration decreased. "I see it! The panels! Some of them have some hand seals or something printed on them!" His earlier vigor seemed to return a bit as he figured it out. However, his heightened enthusiasm calmed down just as quickly as his frustration did. "Now, I'm assuming we need to somehow make it to one of those panels and do something with that handseal. There are two problems with this. One of them is getting to THAT panel," He pointed to a ledge a little ways off that was tumbling around in a circle, "And that one!" He pointed to another ledge far away from where they were that was hopping up and down. "The second problem is...one of us not only needs to get over there, but be able to focus enough to focus their chakra...or to figure out what they are supposed to do to get there." He sighed as he continued to whine, "I honestly have horrible chakra focusing, but I'm pretty sure I'm nimble enough to get there. If one of you two could do something to the first seal, I may be able to get to the second one no problem."

F@#% these dice...Oasis tripped her way up through the last bit of the tunnel coming up behind the group as she had decided to do. The sound was really annoying now and she covered her ears and gritted her teeth as she looked at the monstrosity of a test before them. There was platforms moving every which way and it seemed solidly frightening. She blinked and watched them moving nearly losing her attention on the other two entirely. As she watched the movement her breathing slowed down and in a way synchronized with the mechanical rhythm of the room. A serious look that she hadn't shown the entire time covered her face as she watched and listened to the movement. Her eyes began to glow bright blue as she extended a hand forward giving all of her focus to the task at hand. Sure enough there was a pattern. She watched the things moving and the tracing from her mind created a pattern in her mind tracing lines through the air. There was something more to it though than just that. The movements wasn't the most important thing, it was the panels themselves. Her eyes raced through the room and as she felt like she was about to see something one of her team mates spoke up. First was Kira, what he said didn't help really. She had a strange feeling that he wouldn't be the one to see it anyway. It was Hibiki she had expected something from, and sure enough a few moments later he spoke up. When he said there was hand seals painted on panels her eyes locked in on the target panels. “Since its not so dark anymore... I'm going to make a first attempt at it.” Oasis states as she stepped forward and looked at the movement of the panels. The first panel she needed to make it to, seemed to be about halfway into the room. “I hope neither of you mind.” she states with a light smirk as she stepped out in front and stepped onto the first very simple panel. She closed her eyes for a moment and a small pulse of chakra escaped from her body as she looked at the rest of the maze of movements she was about to face. She nodded her head and then lowered her stance and bounded to the next panel, she would hold onto the panel with hands and feet as it moved about using the pattern she had etched into her mind previously to figure out when to move to the next panel. As she continued to move the glow didn't leave her eyes at all it always seemed to get this way when she focused and truly applied herself to any given situation. She back flipped from that panel landing with just her hands on the edge of the other she didn't stay but for a few moments before propelling herself off of it to another panel directly behind her. She slid across that panel and when it seemed she was going to fall off of it another panel slipped into place and caught her, the pattern was entirely predictable and she had it metered out now nearly perfectly. She stood now and looked back to Hibiki and Kira and gave a light nod to them as if to assure them she really had a good idea as to what she was doing. Oasis then coiled up like a spring and shot to the next panel skittering across its surface her barefeet making scarce contact as she moved across its surface and headed for the next panel which was moving in an up and down jerky motion. The nature of this movement was the exact reason she chose to land on this panel. She knelt down against its surface as it went down and paused for a moment and then as it began to rise she tensed her muscles until it was about to hit the top of its movement and then she threw herself from it using the momentum from the panel she landed a good distance closer to the panel she was headed for. Oasis turned and looked for the panel that she needed it was much closer now, however she was a little more concerned about reaching it than she was before. Its movement was almost out of synchronization with the other panels, and its movement speed seemed to change on a whim as well. She paused and thought about what to do about this panel as she moved to the edge of the one she was on. Then looked at the other panels again. She smirked slightly as it came to her. The other panels had their own rhythm sure but there was a secondary rhythm to their movement which tied the seemingly unrelated movement of the other panel in with them. She dropped from the edge of that panel and landed gingerly on the top of a panel below her which tied into the plane that the target panel was on. Oasis quickly skipped from that panel and landed atop of the next panel. She paused there as that panel spun and waited for its stop before she jumped in a very cat-like motion to the next panel over. She landed on it with simple grace before jumping into a high back flip her feet made contact with the target panel however just as she was about to land she lost her footing and was sent reeling from the panel and dropped into the mess of tumbling panels. Oasis snarled to herself as she lost entirely her pathing of the panels and fell into the dangerous mess of their movement. She closed her eyes and grabbed onto the next panel she landed on. After her display of getting out there, there was no way she was going to let the damn panels dictate how she got back to her team. She pushed herself to her feet and glared at the panels as an obvious red color took to her eyes, the glow faded out as something that looked kindred to a sharingan colored her eyes. However the markings were spectacularly different from that of the sharingan. So what it was, was unclear. She stepped forward and landed on a panel she pressed her foot against the movement harshly and walked to the center of the panel as she looked back to her group and then began to move back towards them. The fall had taken her focus and she would need to regroup to be able to restore her memory of the tiles movements. A thought crashed through her thoughts as she took a deep breath. What was to stop her from using a jutsu technique and just melting the damn tiles beyond recognition. However she had to vacate that plan from her mind because it would put her team mates at risk of being hit by the technique. She was mad at the test not them. Oasis nodded her head in a very mute movement as she began the arduous task of returning herself from her current position back to her team. Her movements now lacked the clear confidence and grace they had before as she nearly stumbled her way across the movements of the panels. She would rudely crash across one tile and bounce off it before falling from its edge to land on another and move about in a similarly brash manner her body responding to the movements of the platforms rather than taking advantage and calculation of their movements. She tumbled and spilled over another panel landing roughly on another as she flipped from its surface and raced along another who's movement was opposite to her own, frustratingly so. She paused as one of the moving platforms went up and was actually moving towards her, Oasis threw her hands forward and pressed against the platform while at the same time allowing her feet to slide out from under her. In doing this she slid under the crash course platform and flipped up 'in-front' of it. Though in-front, and behind was really entirely relative at this time as she jumped and pushed against its trailing edge. She landed ontop of another platform just as it went to jerk upward and was tossed skyward looking akin to a fish dropped on the pier. Oasis crashed onto another panel and scrambled to get on her feet. She raced forward from that panel before it could move and landed on one who's movement was more predictable, she choose here to pause and catch her breath. It all seemed so much easier before why was it so INFURIATING now. She breathed slowly and the strange red sharingan-esq look faded from her eyes. She pressed her hands together and sat with her feet touching on this platform. She needed to return to center. She really needed to focus, she wanted to impress her team, and be helpful not hindering. There was another thump of chakra released from her as the markings on her body just barely started to shimmer with a blue light and the very air in the area the group was in took an oddly electric like tingly sensation. When she opened her eyes they had returned to being blue in color, however they were not glowing brilliantly like they were before. “So... Oasis is going to try again maybe...” She states as she looked at the group and then looked back at the panels. “Oasis is pretty sure about this, though... not so much now.” she complained lightly as she had felt nearly 100% sure she could make it. Well maybe it was more of a 78% assuredness but it was really a good chance of success, but it oddly felt like the world was out to get her and perhaps the panel had a jack-a** who had died nearby and was haunting the panel and was toying with her. As if the odds of the universe were controlled by something other than what would be fair chance. Oasis turned around and looked at the panels again she was sure she could do this. Oddly enough she was a damn good distance away, at the other side of the passage really, she was rather close to where she had began, so maybe she could just use a similar approach once again to try and reach the panel. Oasis nodded her head and looked back at the target, if the other two didn't protest she was most assuredly going to make another attempt at this gauntlet, because now she was annoyed. "Don't wait for Oasis... If you have a plan, go ahead." She adds as she sized up her own options

(I loved the last bit of your post ava, made me giggle like a little school girl ;D )
Hibiki moved aside as the Redhead from Wind Country wanted to test out her method. He was more than willing to let her try it out first because she's not only the lightest of the group, but probably the most agile. It was not until then did Hibiki notice her glowing aura more closely. It wasn't an aura at all, but the various markings around her body lighting up. He shook it off, maybe it was some weird jutsu or Clan type of thing?

She flit and fluttered around from panel to panel with impressive movement. The Inuzuka crossed his arms and watched her closely. Not only did the markings glow, but her eyes seemed to taken on a glow similar to them. How odd. In all of my training and studying, never did I hear of or read up on a clan that had such techniques. Despite her earlier zest, it seems she has focused herself now. Heh, I wish I could get some tips from her, it would probably help with my emotional instability. Her pace sped up and slowed down according to the panels. It was amazing how she picked up on the sequence already.

However, her timing was off or some evil god from above didn't want her to get onto that ledge. Oasis fell, and from then on her movements were sloppy. Instead of the grace and beauty of a butterfly, utter rage akin to a dragon erupted as she made her way back. Her blue luminescent markings had changed dramatically to a fiery red (which didn't help Hibiki's analogy about the dragon at all). Oasis got to a point where she could go at it again, and expressed it willingly. "If you want to go at it again, then go ahead." The Wind Babe's aura changed once again as a cool feeling blanketed Hibiki's body. It felt relaxing, and it oddly made his skin begin to become staticy. "After this is over, may I ask you a few questions? I am quite curious about your abilities now." He spoke up, before she tried to move again.

As she breathed in the glow from her markings intensified and her eyes finally lit up. She pressed her hands against the surface of the panel, her palms pressing hard against the solid surface, her fingers dug into the stone ever so slightly. Finally she sprung from the panel tearing stone from the surface of the platform. Her movement almost sounded like the crack of a whip and she blasted from that platform and began to move with motions that proved exceptionally difficult to follow by the naked eye. She launched from the platform and barely even touched the surface of the next as she knelt against the edge of the platform, she rotated forward in the stance until she could kick against the side of the platform. The force of her kicking motion broke bits of the platform free as she launched herself to another platform, she was plainly moving with more speed and fervor this time around. However the grace from before had returned to her motions and when the landing and take off was not damaging to the panel it was just as silent and seamless as before. She rolled across on platform and sprung from its end out landing with her hands on another. However she didn't stop into a handstand, rather she began a series of flips as she picked up speed and threw herself from the platform landing with a light tap against the next platform. Oasis paused here momentarily as she turned and faced a different direction before taking two long strides forward, obviously headed towards the wall she sprinted for it at full speed, she turned as she approached it and essentially ran across the wall entirely escaping herself from the annoying series of platforms that divided her from the target platform before, those platforms with the most obnoxious movement type. She lost her momentum and came down from the wall run landing on the last platform she had come to the previous attempt before making her try at the target. She breathed in slowly and came to a complete stop. She held herself still and stared at the target platform. She looked at the target and then to the platforms which came before it. Last time she had approached the platform at the parallel of its rotation, this time she would address it from the perpendicular. She knelt low and waited for the inevitable platform which would cross in front and below the one she was currently on. Then she dropped down onto it and jumped immediately to the one in front of her from there. From this platform she could see the circular movement of the target platform that she wanted to reach now. She stayed on it cleanly as it moved about and she waited for the platform in its circular movement to hit the right spot in its pattern before she jumped. As the target platform rounded about she launched from her current platform and landed with pure grace in its center. “That would be alright.” she states now responding to what Hibiki had asked her a bit ago. Oasis looked back to the two with a grin, now she just needed to disable the thing, she figured logically she just needed to mimic the seal.

Quote: (145+30)2 = 350 vs 300 = 50 ==55%Oasis stood, rather proudly on the platform and she looked at the panel itself to decide which hand seal was needed now. However as Oasis was trying her damnedest to figure out the seal the platforms movement went from patterned to almost completely random, once again the angry deity which governs chance, and sometimes the done-nes of the pork in your pork fried rice must have been mad at Oasis, or perhaps jealous of her sweet red hair. Because the platform shifted abruptly and did its best to throw Oasis from it. Oasis responded by dropping onto all four she held onto the platform with everything she had. Oasis dug in and held on however the platform picked up its movement and in movements something akin to a bucking bronco the platform finally ejected Oasis, but not without some serious complaint as her fingernails screeched across the solid surface with a wicked terrible sound before she was flung clear from the platform and somewhere into the middle of a sea of wildly tossing panels, who's movements were quite obviously designed by that same nasty deity. Oasis scrambled to her feet and glared back at the target platform. She was, bluntly, quite pissed now. The blue glow entirely dissipated and Oasis crashed her hands together pulling in a deep breath, she didn't know if she was going to get into trouble for doing this, however she wasn't going to play with these platforms anymore. She turned and faced the nearest platform and released a sudden nasty blast of boiling caustic acid from her mouth. It hit the platform and sizzled and, as its nature dictated it began to eat away at the stone it was formed from. She punched the dissolving platform a few times before jumping on top of it and stomping on it until its movements slowed. She snarled down at it and spat at it again. “I'VE HAD IT!” she shouts angrily as she looked back at the target. “I WONT BE MADE A FOOL OF!” she adds loudly as she back flipped away from a rogue platform and began to task of retreating back from where she had fallen. She didn't know why she had to do this again, surely she could have attempted again from a closer location right? However for some reason it would seem she need be farther away from the platform to be enabled to make an attempt at it. She didn't understand it, and it made her full and well angry. She proceeded to make her way back to her team mates, doing her best to not let the platforms get the better of her this time. She jumped from her current platform and landed with a loud crash into the center of another leaving an obvious divot in its center as she launched from it and crashed into another causing it to spin along its axis so she could jump from it and go sliding across the more smooth surface of another. She hadn't expected that and so she was rather caught off guard by this and scrambled as she reached the end and wound up clinging to its edge and slinging herself around it in a very sling-shot-esq manner. She landed on the next platform and stared incredulously at her group. “I don't know what the hell this place has against me.” she states clearly letting them know with her words how aggravating it was to be feet from success and being thrown back to square one from there. “That thing better do something really amazing... Or Oasis is going to get revenge on some proctor with a well and entirely undeserved kick to his tender region.” she adds as she kicked against the surface of the stone platform she was on cracking the surface and knocking some small bits of stone free from its surface as if giving an example of how hard she was going to kick this unsuspecting individual. She jumped a few more times and was forced into more careful movements as she came towards her group, which was odd seeing as the first few panels is where it seemed to be the easiest. However her anger likely made it feel more difficult because the slower moving panels would be aggravating against her senses which had just had to perceive the movements of the considerably faster moving platforms, so these slowpokes were frustrating beyond words. She jumped and stepped a few more times before coming to rest beside her team mates. “...Got any other ideas...” She grumbles as she glared back at the gauntlet of platforms and panels, the one she damaged seemed to either have repaired itself or been replaced because she no longer saw it in the mess of other platforms. She sat on the ground and breathed slowly trying to calm down and release some steam, she had no idea why this was so frustrating, perhaps the poison which they had apparently breathed in was having some effect on her in such a fashion.
