Hmmm. It appeared that Chris hadn’t fully grasped the implication in her words. She chuckled to herself. Oh well. There was always plenty of fish in the sea for her to catch.
Unlike the majority of the children, Hayden opted to make a different craft. It was a simple one, but rather addicting in her opinion. She gathered a pile of tissue paper and green pipe cleaners. With utmost seriousness, Hayden rubbed her chin as she considered her options. One color? Two colors? If two colors, which two? Complementary? Not complementary? The choices were numerous and beautiful in their own right. Personally, she would have immediately gone for green tissue paper, but that wouldn’t quite work for her project. A disheartened sigh, and Hayden leaned over to reach for dark blue and light blue tissue paper. She reached over for a pair of scissors, never forgetting to smile at Chris as he kindly watched over the children as she worked on a craft of her own. Hayden began to cut out flowers shapes with the tissue paper.
“My cards?” she repeated as she kept her gaze on the papers. “I do magic tricks. Wanna see?” Grinning a toothy grin, Hayden set down her things and brandished her deck once more. She couldn’t stop herself from looking gleeful as she shuffled the cards.

Oh, no, he got the implication... he was just trying very hard to remind himself that there was a really pretty blond that he wanted to ask out. Er, maybe he should do that before he started getting tracked down by any other girls at the camp. He figured the best way to let her down easy was to, well, ignore her. Or at least any suggestions that might distract him...
"Magic...?" Chris stared at her, curious and intrigued. He hadn't seen many real card trick. mostly just stuff on the television, but it was never the same as in real life, right? He placed his mask to the side, which was covered in red, black, and white sequence, having been inspired by his favorite baseball team... but it wasn't like he would be wearing it. Maybe he would give it to his little brother to do something with it... Then again, Peter would probably try to throw it away or burn it... maybe.
"Yeah, I'd love to see." Of course, the conversation hadn't gone unheard, and soon there were a few of the campers turning around to see what Chris and Hayden were talking about. Apparently they wanted to see a magic trick, too.
