"Don't think your wardrobe would fit me very well," Jordan responded, smirking. "And pretty sure you wouldn't fit in my pants. Anyway, we all get a turn. You can do it, man."

It was bad enough being on display in front of the rest of the trainees like a piece of meet or a weigh in before a match. Leon was at least relieved that he didn't have to stand on a scale in only his training shorts. He still chose to cover his groin with his hands however, just in case whatever was in the potentially unassuming box was bitey.
The other set on eyes that were on the boxer even on the stage added to his moment of paranoia, A guy he remembered seeing vaguely by the name of Robert or Robbie or something he couldn't recall. It didn't change the fact that his peepers were on him like he was some kind of rare animal at the zoo. Leon wondered jokingly if the guy was going to offer him a piece or popcorn or a peanut or something. "So, what do you think's in the box? I think its uniforms." he said softly to the guy behind a low voice.

Caelius raised one eyebrow at the speculation, saying nothing, waiting until all the trainees called had assembled in the front.
"For you exemplary work assisting others in times of need, and keeping a level head," here, he mockingly stared at some of the called trainees," I hereby promote you from trainees to Life Hunters. Your role is to assist and to assimilate yourself into what we do, staring with the most basic of roles. Dr. H is responsible for your higher level missions, but you will still continue to take basic training classes such as weapons instructions and Fear mastery." Caelius picked shuffled through the stack of papers before handing out a schedule to each appointed trainee. "Please take a look at your time schedule, missions should be handled in your own time as well. Your uniforms will be waiting for you inside your dorm rooms."
And still, the Hunter instructor did not open the box. "You may sit back down now. David Brant, Marcus Hasan, Jude Hargrave, Scott Thompson, and Petra Walker, you have been called."

Life hunters? Oooohhh! That sounded interesting, to be honest! Cass had to admit she wasn't a very..uhhhhh...effective 'helper of other people', so she was glad they hadn't pegged her as such a thing. However, that sounded like... such a curious job to have.
She leaned forward and rested her elbows on the table once she realized what was going on.
They were being sorted! That couldn't have been too difficult, right? She watched those who had been called up get dismissed again. However, it seemed soon enough she sat right back up again, giving Caelius an alert stare. Marcus! And uhh...the grumpy-guy-who-didn't-want-you-to-talk-about-his-arm... she knew those two, for the most part.
But MARCUS. This was relative to her interests for actually knowing him on at least a name-level...and a face-to-face level. Oh god, did that go into the evaluation???
Was Cass somehow sorted into the 'KISS OTHER PEOPLE HUNTERS' group??
Wait, if it was that way, Marcus should have been in that group too!!
Hmmm...

Life..Hunters? Somehow those two words being used together seemed a bit oxymoronic. Life Hunters. Hunters of Life. Ha. So, she wasn't a life hunter..'keeping a level head'. Candace frowned a little. She didn't keep much of a level head, did she? She'd tried so hard.
And still her name wasn't called. Candace's eyes flickered up toward Caelius. Still nothing. But why..? What kind of Hunter was she?

It was hard to tell where it came from, but as soon as Cael said the phrase 'level head', somewhere along the line of hunter trainees, someone stifled a quick;
"BAHA-"
He had a perfectly straight face, trying to look as militarily-stoic as possible, and definitely not like the guy who just burst into laughter at the mere idea of him having a level head. Then again, he'd leveled a gun to his head. Maybe that counted!
His eyes flickered to Leon, just as Cael finished, and as he snatched the paper without looking at it, he shrugged. "Guess you were wrong, bro. Uniforms are at the doors. Personally, I thought the box had test scores, but now.." He eyed the box as he headed back to his seat, bumping Petra gently with his hip when he passed her. He turned, grinned at Leon, and flopped down on his poor seat noisily. It creaked in anger at the rough movement, but Robert's arms just reached out behind his head to get comfortable.
"Maybe the box has, like, after-meeting snacks." Oh God, yes please.

Madison had sidled up there in Robert's shadow, her stomach tight with anxiety. What were they going to say? Had she failed everything? But no... no, probably not. She didn't think Robert had failed everything, at least, and if she was being called up with him, then... that had to mean everything was going to be okay, right? Right?
She was so wound up that she flinched and involuntarily took a step forward when Caelius began speaking... but she stared at him for a moment after he had finished. Life Hunter.
She had made it. She was accepted. She wasn't going to be tossed back into the world.
... She wasn't sure if this was good, or bad. But it was a thing, and better than not knowing.
Madison hurried back to her chair and sat down with a thump, giving Petra what she hoped was an encouraging - if shaky - smile on the way back. "Hey, uh... at least we're in the same group? Or something?" she whispered, at Robert... though a sudden thought made her stomach tighten again.
... This didn't mean they couldn't all be together, did it? That they couldn't be Phoenix?
No. Too soon to panic. Even though today felt like nothing but jumping from one moment of panic to the next.

Life Hunters. So...this was a sorting? His curious look went black as he whispered- "Oh my ******** god." This was real right? Seriously? "It's mother ******** Harry Potter Hunters. If I get into the group that is like Hufflepuff-" Marcus shuddered. Hufflepuffs. ******** that. He'd prefer Slytherin. At least they had vision and determination. ******** were just...the rest. He did not want to be- oh. Oh s**t. His name was called. OH. <******** him. His name was called. Deep breath, Marcus gathered himself best he could and made his way to the instructor. All guys and one girl. Once there he just..looked at her. "I feel like this is the case of too many dicks on the dance floor all of the sudden."
He hoped no one heard that.

She sat quietly in the classroom, her eyes focused on that one superior who had been their only source of information thus far; after the events of their 'first day', she wasn't sure what's real and what's not anymore. Those hordes of attacking creatures, with the vine-with-teeth and millions of tiny spiders... Those were 'not real'? Just 'fear'?
What, so there's really 'nothing to fear but fear itself'? She had studied what they had been given, but she was still hazy on the details.
Frowning, she leaned back against her seat, patiently waiting for her name to be called; it was... Rather exciting. Getting a new group, that is... She liked 'Beta', but she did not want to be 'Beta Seven' forever - perhaps this new 'group' would give her a new cause to identify with. If they were going to be sorted up into different groups though, she would probably be separated from her companions... Her... Friends.
... Heh, could always use more connections anyway.

Before had gone through several emotional rollercoaster-rides in the span of time it took to hear his name called, to walking up to the front of the class, to waiting for the results to be revealed, to learning he was now a... Life Hunter? What? What did that even? How had he been of any help to the others? He'd dragged them down when he got blinded. (Okay that had been all in his head, but in fairness, everyone's injuries had been all in their heads too so, uh, what? Before kinda lost the point of his thoughts now.)
Still, he felt like it was a great accomplishment that he managed to keep his mouth shut all throughout and not put his foot in it! 8DDDD Because, seriously, the last thing he should ever do would be to piss off dude-boss, er, Caelius. He really should remember to start referring to him with that title.
Before didn't quite look at his schedule just yet. He waited to be seated, which was not a very long wait as he practically scrambled back to his chair, fearing his legs would finally give way any second now. He gave his fellow Life Hunters a quick scan, before teal eyes darted to the paper he held. Despite being unable to focus as more names were called. Oooh it was one-arm-guy! Err, David, and Judy (hee hee, Boss sure had a way with names), and the girl from that constantly arguing pair. The other two he didn't recognize. Though he might once Scott spoke up.

A life hunter, a welterweight life hunter. why was it always some kind of classification for what Leon was; a champion, challenger, welterweight, featherweight, jock, etc. It was seriously trying not to but in and ask what the new title meant.
He still had his training in restraint to consider.
He took his paper silently from Cael's hand before following behind the rest of the hunters in his group, the life Hunters that he'd have to probably work with and learn about like an opponent in a match. "We all make wrong guesses" he said with a shrug, letting the paper flap silently with the exaggerated movement. he was happy with the knowledge that they were still getting their uniforms irregardless.
"Except, if its in our dorms, then they've somehow tailored it to our forms already, kind of creepy when you think about it." he rumbled out in a low voice as he turned to the side to let the girl Robert gave a playful thump to, extra space to regain any lost balance. Leon quirked an eye back to Robert as if to say "What are you up to?" before taking his spot back at the table but instead of sitting, he placed his hands in front of the table and his feet as far back as he could reach before doing upright push ups on the surface.
"I really hope its not food, I already took my daily amount of calories for my training regimen" he muttered in between sets. "Maybe the magic box has scythes like Cael's own." Oh, he really hoped that was in box number 1

Jude had wandered into 'THE ROOM' and settled down to wait his turn at being called listening intently to what The 'Instructor' was saying, even watched some of the students wander up to get their results. Jude had read a little bit, not much but a bit. He was too busy trying to wrap his head around the ordeal they had gone through with all those things and the uncertainty everyone felt.
It was hard when one didn't know what was expected of them. Yes they could have looked in the stupid manual but in the field no one politely waited around until you read Chapter 3: HOW TO DEAL WITH FREAKY THINGS.
If they did that would have been nice.
His name was called and Jude popped out of his thoughts with a bit of a guilty start as he stood and wandered up toward Caelius and the box. He had no expectations. Jude didn't expect to be stellar coming right out of the gate.

Cass stared as Leon began doing push ups using the table, a look of something resembling complete bufuddlement on her face. What was even..why was he even...
She just stared, a lot, twiddling her thumb and feeling sort of..unproductive next to what the now-Life-Hunter was doing. She didn't do push ups. She'd attempted one the day before and mostly rolled around on the floor going 'WRYYYYY'. Cass whispered in the older man's direction;
"How do you do that????"
Clearly, Cass was easy to impress.
She looked away momentarily as the group at the front of the room assembled, cupping her hands around her mouth and mouthing; 'STAND AWAY FROM THE BOX, DON'T PRESS THE BUTTON!'. Don't press the button, don't press the button, don't press the button!!
IT MIGHT KILL YOUR HUSBAND..err..WIFE...er..SOMEONE IN THIS ROOM!!

There was something about the burn, the strain of muscles and relaxing them that just made Leon feel alive. He was so used to being around people immersed in their own workouts that it was new to hear someone asking about what he was doing. After returning back to the set's rest position he turned around to see Cass again, her eyes staring at the mere action he was doing.
"The push up?" he asked in a tone slightly higher than he normally spoke in, did she really not know how to do a push up? Leon held back the frown he wanted to show, 'cept the girl might have taken it the wrong way and think he upset at her. "It all begins with the position, hands on the table, shoulder length apart." he said in his best trainer like voice, glad to be taking the role his previous mentor had with him in a time that felt like ages ago due to all that's happened.
"after that, you take steps backward as far as you can, just until it reaches a point where you cant keep the tip of your toes on the floor, and your back has to remain straight." He moved into the position to show Cass how it should look, in case she needed a step by step instruction. "After that, using the muscles in your arm, slowly bring the front of your chest to the table's edge, while still keeping the back straight, and using the same muscles, bring your chest back into its initial position." He said under strain as he went through with its movements.
"If you want to try, there's plenty of elbow room around the table." he said warmly before giving her a pat on the shoulder for encouragement.
Maybe he was more of a life hunter than he thought at first, it would explain why he was a crap shooter.

Cass...sort of knew how to do a push up, but it wasn't like she'd ever participated in a gym class or been forced to do much physical activity at all (trying to run away from creepy old houses didn't count). She could try to mimic the gesture all she wanted, but to be honest none of the made all that much sense to her.
Certainly she wasn't out of shape, as she had a very aesthetically pleasing one called 'squishy', but when running from zombies she would be the first one to run out of stamina and get eaten. That much was for sure.
"You make it look really easy.." she said, pouting a bit. Why couldn't it be as easy as it looked to her? Besides, she'd never seen someone use a table for it before. He couldn't expect a 16 year old girl to be a spartan-compulsive-work-outer, could he? She somehow doubted that.
None the less, Cass had no hesitation in popping up from her seat, puffing her chest out. "No harm in trying!" she beamed, though not so loudly as to cause a scene of some sort to draw Caelius's attention.
The resting the hands on the table part was easy enough, she knew how to do that. It was the 'stretch out the body' part that wasn't as easy for her, nearly slipping twice before she settled for 'comfortably not out from underneath self'...okay, that was actually a somewhat uncomfortable position, but everything was uncomfortable at first, right?
The actual pushing into and away from the table part was where the trap was. First round went easily enough, not causing much of a problem, second one was a but more painful for her flimsy little girly arms, third got slightly harder still....
She'd managed about five before one of her hands slid and she fell into the edge of the table, face first.
"!!@#$@#@@@!##@#@(#)@*)!!!"
She swore, that much was obvious, but exactly how lovely the words coming out of her mouth were were muffled by her grabbing her nose.
This wasn't a good two week period for her head as of late.
