June 2011 I'm a little unsure of my capabilities to take care of another child. But, they must see something in me or else I wouldn't have been able to bring her home. I do feel very connected to her.
Auden is very curious when it comes to Alison. Being young himself and just as girly is a plus. For now I don't have to worry about rough housing between the two. They are more interested in dress up and shiny objects.
She floats!

July 2011 Auden and Alison have adjusted well to one another. Auden is super protective of his sister.
Alison is very much like her brother. They are both very, very girly. I think she delights in the fact that there is someone there who will always play dress up with her. It is actually something to watch. Matter of fact they often put on shows for the afternoon tavern guests.
The tavern help often fusses over her. They love to brush her hair and dress her up. She, however, likes her red dress that she came home in best. I don't know what I am going to do when she grows out of it, which I hope will be a long ways away from now.

August 2011 I want to settle down but I cannot bring myself to do it. It does not seem to both the kids at all so I am not going to fret over it. I actually think they like moving around from place to place. I do make sure that they have time to make friends, and I make a way for them to keep in touch with those friends.
The tavern help was nice enough to watch Auden while I took Alison out shopping. We have plenty of money, but still we splurged. It is neat to watch her eyes light up when she sees something she really wants. I was very surprised at the fact that she thought of her brother just as much as herself. She found him a nice birthday gift.
