[Anthony ~.~ Earth ~.~ Burning City Street]

Each step the knight took felt heavy, like no matter how fast he moved his legs it was just not fast enough. Anxiety started filling his chest, making it difficult for him to focus on his breathing and stride. He wanted to look back, but didn't want to take the chance. He had to reach the building before Louis fires his shot.

Anthony dove behind the building, skidding against the ground before standing up and leaning back against the wall, heavily panting. For a moment, the young man felt safe, but that quickly changed as he felt a burning sensation pass through his shoulder and a warm liquid running down his arm.

The knight grabbed his arm, applying pressure as he bared his teeth and fought back the pain. "Total wall hack..." Anthony thought as he peeked around the wall, spotting the other on top of the building. He needed to get to Louis, and he needed to get there fast. Who knows how much longer the young man would be able to last with all the damage he has sustained already.

Anthony has been fighting defensively as he prepared the stage, but it was time to draw in the actor; however, it's kind of like asking Obi-Wan to give up the high ground and fall pray to Anakin. ...it's not gonna happen. In the mean time, the wyverns needed to be taken care of.

Without warning, the knight dashed out from behind the building and rapidly fired balls of electricity at the wyverns up above, then took cover behind the building across the street; however, instead of staying put, the young man kept on running to try and avoid Louis' wall hacking ability.

[[Louis : Earth : Burning City]]

As the fighter ran for his life, Louis watched with his opponent with the same blank stare, "His speed is disappointing... those gauntlets slow him down so much it's almost pitiful." Even as the wyverns were struck out of the sky one by one, Louis showed complete apathy as he stood to his feet and the corner of the building and brushed himself off, "Time to show him what true speed is."

[[Cue: United We Stand, Divided We Fall by Two Steps From Hell]]

The building began to shake and Louis was beginning to feel a sense of vertigo at such a high altitude. Above another void tore itself in the sky, sucking nearby debris upward. Louis would have to move in order to avoid being sucked into the sky.

Drawing both his daggers, Louis put one foot up on the edge and leaned forward. The air around Louis seemed to bend and wave, like a see through curtain were floating in between him and the intersection below. The arcanist braced himself, then shot off like a rocket. As the boy passed through the curtain, the space he inhabited warped and bent until like hiding a coin in one's sleeve, Louis had vanished within the folds.

Before the fighter could even realize he was gone, a flicker of Louis appeared in his face, an unyielding combo of slashes from his daggers following a split second after before vanishing from sight again. Attacks from many directions would follow, strikes on all sides targeting vital areas and pressure points on the body. Blinding speed matched with the magic of invisibility, a deadly combination.

((Sorry for the late reply.))

[Anthony ~.~ Earth ~.~ Burning City Street]

Anthony knew the second Louis flashed before him he was screwed. A barrage of attacks immediately followed. The initial attacks landed, as the knight wasn't completely ready for them, but he was able to dodge a couple of the attacks to follow; however, the majority that he couldn't took a lot out of him given they were targeting his vital areas and pressure points.

Cue: Flying Light

But this is where the young man wanted Louis. In attack range. Though Anthony seemed beat, he did have an advantage over the arcanist--his health and physical resistance was much greater. With him this close, the knight could use his physical advantage to overpower his opponent.

As Louis came in with his last attack, Anthony followed the arcanist's hand through, almost guiding the attack into his stomach. Once the attack connected, the knight took grasp of Louis' hand and, with his physical strength near double of his opponent's, did not let it retreat. With his other hand, he grabbed and pulled Louis in closer. The chains from his gauntlets began to extend and wrap around the two as an attempt to prevent an escape.

Anthony forced a smile from behind his wincing, coughing slightly with traces of blood on account of the dagger still lodged in his stomach. This was it. The knight wasn't gonna hold back just in case this may be his last chance of landing any attacks on his opponent.

Lightning slowly began to coat Anthony's body, starting at his head and feet and meeting in the middle where the chains wrapped around the two. Suddenly, just as the lightning touched the metal, Louis would feel a critical amount of electricity running through his body as the two were engulfed in lightning! Sparing no chances, the knight tilted his head as far back as he could and, like a sling-shot, his head sprung forward, colliding with Louis' forehead with great force, which would discombobulate the arcanist just long enough for the young man to perform the last part of his attack.

Still coated in lightning, energy began to build up in Anthony's thighs as he somewhat crouched, preparing to jump. The floor beneath the two began to crack and break until the knight took flight, leaping high into the air and over the building behind them. The two began to tilt until they were free falling, spinning rapidly and head first, over the area the knight fought off the wyverns. Finally, the two crashed into the ground, a large cloud of dust covering the streets from the impact.

Once the dust settled, Anthony struggled to rise to his feet as his chains slowly recoiled back into his gauntlets. As he stood, a 10'-by-10' dome of electricity (just large enough for the knight to us his chains to their full extent) encircled the two. While fighting the wyverns, the knight had planted lightning orbs underneath the rubble on the streets, making sure to be as inconspicuous as possible to minimize suspicion. On command, those orbs would expand and create a cage of lightning, such as the one the two stood in at the moment.

He stumbled back a bit in the dome on account of the pain in his abdomen. He looked down at the dagger sticking out of his stomach and took grasp of the hilt, slowly removing it and tossing it aside. However effective the attacks may have been, they were definitely taxing. Anthony could feel his energy supply diminishing (taking a knife to the stomach wasn't helping him either). The cage won't last for long. Soon, he won't be able to use magic anymore and will have to rely on his physical abilities to battle Louis. For now, all he could do is hope the space restriction would be enough to keep his opponent in attack range.

[[Louis : Earth : Burning City Street]]

It was about half way through the "fighter's" combo that Louis had come to a rather unfortunate late realization, his initial assessment of Anthony had been horribly miscalculated, the boy wasn't a fighter at all, he was a grappler.

The arcanist stood, shaking his head of the dizziness and confusion that came with being hit in the head. Louis blinked as reality came back into focus. He looked forward at Anthony, then glanced only with his eyes to each side, collecting his surroundings for a single conclusion, he'd been trapped.

Outside the cage, the world quite literally found itself being torn apart as chunks of earth were being carried into the sky, other heavier slabs of earth floated idly in the air for some stronger force to pull them away as little black sparks jumped from one to another.

His empty hand searched the air for his missing dagger, soon finding it as a dark portal engulfed it on the ground and dropped it in his palm. I can't run... but neither can he.

Louis lifted the daggers over his head and charged darkness into them, wisps of shadow flowing off like the caressing waves of a burning flame. In the blink of an eye the darkness sucked into the blades, turning them pure obsidian. With a moments hesitation he threw them at Anthony, one lagging just a second behind the other.

Much to the eye's discomfort, the blades seemed to form after images, lagging silhouettes that remained visible far too long. But just before colliding with the grappler, they entered portals summoned about a foot away from Anthony's face.

Louis drew his rapier and tossed the rifle into his free hand. Louis moved forward, and was upon the male in a flash, keeping his distance with several lighting fast jabs from the rapier before turning and spinning in with a slash to knock away and greedy gauntlets and pull of the trigger point blank at the grappler's chest.

As nothing happened but the darkness gathering in the barrel dissipating into thin air and the barrel remaining empty, the daggers from before returned 10 fold. Portals opened all around them, blades flying in every direction trailing thin black wires from one portal to another before vanishing again once more, but leaving the wire behind to trace the path they traveled. In a matter of seconds, movement within the cage would become riddled with there trails of darkness, making movement extremely difficult without cutting oneself on one of the strings.

[Anthony ~.~ Earth ~.~ Burning City Street]

The knight found himself on his back, staring up at Louis as he held the barrel of his rifle against his chest. The barrage of attacks from the rapier had all connected, forcing the young man to stumble back and fall once his gauntlets were knocked away. He thought he was done for when the arcanist pulled the trigger, but to his surprise nothing happened. A sigh of relief escaped his lips, though whatever relief he felt didn't last for long once the daggers reappeared, now greater in number, passing through portals and leaving behind thin strings of darkness one could only assume would be hazardous to the touch.

Anthony could easily slip out of the dome, but that would give Louis the opportunity to portal away. This plan wasn't very well thought out. He's now stuck inside a cage with a hungry lion, without any hopes of outrunning it. Fortunately, the space restriction meant his opponent couldn't move as freely as he would be able to outside the dome. However, he was in quite the pickle and needed to get back onto his feet.

Lightning once again coated the knight's body, this time much quicker than before, then shot out a massive clone of himself out of his body and into Louis. If anything, the attack was meant to push his opponent away so the young man would be able to get back into his feet, but if it had connected, Louis would feel a critical amount of electricity coursing through his body before being flung to the other side of the dome, possibly colliding with the electric wall.

Whatever the outcome, Anthony rolled away from underneath Louis and rose to his feet, careful as to not to touch any of the present strings of darkness that quickly filled the dome. The lightning entity attack drained more of his energy (more than he had hoped), the flickering dome being a sign of his rapidly diminishing magic.

Immediately after rising to his feet, the young man's chains once again extended to his sides, electricity coating them. In place, he began to spin rapidly, the speed lifting his chains above the ground and filling the dome. Whatever stood in its path would be knocked aside or to the ground.

[[Louis : Earth : Burning City Street]]

Louis collided with the electric wall, a surge rushing unter his skin to every extremity and back to his core before he could fall back to the floor on one knee. The arcanist ducked the second he saw the chains incoming and from a near prone position pulled the trigger of his rifle for another blank shot with no effect.

As the grappler spun, his absolute strength was impressive, clearing most of the wires out by wrapping them around his chains as he spun, easily pulling them out of position. However, much to Louis' pleasure, even the thinnest of silk from a spider's web could entangle the strongest of overconfident beetles. After the boy spun, the wires stretched and quickly wrapped up Anthony, stringing up his limbs before painfully , first entangled on the chains, the tension drew them in around the center of the rotation.

Louis stood and moved quickly, not giving the boy a second to consider his folly, "You're finished!"

The daggers all returned at once from portals surrounding Anthony in a circle. They implanted themselves in the ground, anchoring themselves and the wires extending from them in place with darkness spreading from their blades like roots though the earth. The arcanist moved in spurts, appearing and disappearing though portals, each time pulling his trigger to release another empty shot.

Finally, Louis portaled away and appeared far above the dome, aiming his gun straight down on his opponent.

Louis pulled the trigger, this time, darkness gathering around the barrel like a spiral vortex before firing a single, small shot that somehow launched the arcanist higher. Upon impact spread over and through Anthony, much like a form of electricity. Louis flipped through the air, drawing his hand over the length of the rifle, drawing his arms appart before at the tip, pulling a mass of darkness out of the gun. The darkness took shape into another rifle. This time, as Louis aimed and darkness swiftly charged the barrels, all around the grappler in every place the arcanist had previously pulled the trigger to do seemingly nothing, portals opened, all facing the grappler glowing an eerie deep purple with growing intensity.

Louis fired his guns again, then again, and again and again. Raining small artilery shells onto his opponent, at the same time, the portals releasing similar shots at the grappler at their center. Each portal fired about 6 shots before imploding, then detonating into separate demi spells that swiftly combined and molded into one large demiga, forming a sphere over the entire floating chunk of earth.

"Memento Mori," Louis' voice echoed through the darkness as his second gun disipated and he took the real one in both hands. He pulled the trigger one last time, feeding the majority of his remaining mana pools into the finisher. The bun's barrel errupted into a torrential beam strong enough to keep the arcanist completely afloat amidst the other floating islands scattered all around resembling the remaints of what used to be the burning city.

The beam pierced the dome from above, a flash from within revealing the silhoette of the grappler held in an agonizing suspension, then the dome collapsed, crushing the boy inside before finally releasing in a giganic upward explosion engulfing the arcanist as well in the mix of black, purple, and green energies.

At this moment, the mass of darkness above decended upon the world and engulfed it, throwing everything into darkness. In time, the two combatants would find themselves back where they began, standing in a dimly lit room, the place they were before the test began. Louis grinned and placed a hand on the grappler's shoulder before heading to the door, "Congradulations...I think you're ready."

[Anthony ~.~ The Danger Room? o.O;]

As quickly as the restricting feeling of the wires had come upon him, it just as quickly passed and Anthony found himself in, what he likes the call, "The Danger Room," an artificial battle simulator much like in X-Men. "A bit overkill, don't'cha think, Louis?" Anthony said cheekily. However, the arcanist's parting words left the young man speechless. It was almost like being in a half-slumber state, where everything looks real, but feels like a dream.

It was finally his time!

"When do we begin?" the knight asked, his voice serious and deep, as he tailed Louis out of the room.

And now, who wants a shot at the arena? After all, this one isn't random, it's first come, first serve! So anyone may volunteer to fight, and they may pick their own opponent (unless they'd rather it be random, or rather someone else volunteer).

I want to fight Ajora. =w=
PostPosted: Tue Jul 26, 2011 10:19 pm

As I said before, I'm going to have to decline, too much going on at the moment to spare focus on a battle xD I'd only be able to half-a** it, and that's not fair to you.

SO, after that, apparently Dusk and Janex want to fight. They might have some extra participants, too.

[Dusk : The Lost Forest : Forest Shrine]

Dusk stood at the step of the shrine, staring at the stone. It all seemed rather pointless to have such a thing in the middle of nowhere. Silly people and their foolish beliefs. If only they knew it was all pointless to believe in anything. It would do nothing for them in the end. Silly childish notions that were only put into the human mind to help settle their fears of life, and death.

The dancer snapped out of her notions when she felt the shift in the wind. Someone was near, someone familiar. Without waiting to figure out who it was, Dusk summoned her twin fans and swept them in the direction of the intruder, summoning large blades of wind that would tear apart the trees the person was hiding behind.

She heard the splintering of the trees as she approached the temple, and Janex summoned her Mirror Wall to shield her from the attack. While behind the wall, she coated herself in her Frost Armor, and summoned the black bow to her hands. Once the wind attack had passed, she dropped the Wall, but darted around to the sides instead of charging ahead like one would expect.

"...f***," she said dully, pressing her back up against a tree. It would be harder to land a shot with the arrows since her opponent was a wind-user.

[Dusk : Lost Forest : Forest Shrine]

"...Oh it is you..." Dusk hissed narrowing her eyes on Janex, instantly recognizing Janex. Dark memories, filled with negative and twisted emotions flooded through the replica's mind, of the times back on Earth.... It all made her sick. Almost as so as the person standing before her.

Silently, Dusk summoned her on protection, Aeroga, on herself. As she turned to face the girl. "You know, spying on people is rude. Talk about a real b****. You need to learn some manners."

With a slight turn of her fans in the air, concentrating her energy as she summoned did one of her Forbidden Dances. As the air changed around Janex, she would soon feel the pull of a charming coming off of Dusk. That if it worked would pull on the other replica's emotions and see Dusk's side on things.

Janex .:. Lost Forest .:. Forest Temple

"I wasn't spying, I was walking, you mange-ridden whore, and F*** YOU AND YOUR MANNERS!" Janex called, her voice spiraling higher and grew more deranged as she continued. She then growled low in her throat as the Charm spell took hold, though she couldn't force herself to attack. Neither she nor Dusk wanted to be here, there was really no point in their fighting. It was nothing more than pointless bloodshed, no rhyme or reason. That was why she hadn't joined with Ajora in the first place. Not only did she have no taste for being controlled or manipulated (which is why she was so pissed that this God damned Charm spell had actually worked), but there was no point in fighting their originals, either.

There really was no point in anything...

She tried to fight off the effects of the Charm, but the harder Janex struggled, the more the spell took hold and strengthened, and the less she was able to force herself to take offensive action. Logically, it was working because it was feeding on her thoughts and feelings that this whole thing was stupid and pointless, and dammit, she just wanted to be left alone!

[Dusk : Lost Forest : Forest Temple]

"Says the bad little dog," Dusk said with a grin as her dance took effect over Janex, "You know, it is too bad we couldn't be friends. Just like the old days.~ Such a shame I got to end you."

The Dancer's voice carried in the wind as she continued the Forbidden Dance. The wind stirred around Dusk, charging up her Haste from her Swift as Winds. She soon started to add other movements to the current dance, the effects of her Wind Jitterbug and Mystical Wind Waltz. The combination of the dances would drain both Janex's health and energy. Though the health was more of a waste than anything. The mana she was getting supplied with from Janex was more than enough to keep the effects in motion.
