"Pink? Oh. Sounds cool!" Claire liked pink. "you're the first reaper I've actually liked. NO, WAIT! Second. I forgot about Lilith." she thought about the music club. "Yeah, I'll join. We have to look like a band! It has to be very profreshunal. We can't be lame. I have a rep to live up to!"
What rep, Claire?

"You do, huh?" Roch asked, grinning at her. "I bet it's an awesome one, right?" he teased. This little thing probably did have a rep, he admitted silently. From the slightly threatening response her question about prom had gotten, it was probably a great rep. But not a badass one. "We might have enough to even break up into a couple of bands someday. That'd be awesome. I'm gettin the feeling we've got more than enough guitar players. But hey, I can always play bass if needed."
He paused as they came to a building. "What's that?" he asked, motioning up to it.

She took a quick breath and pulled him away from the building, whispering "Hellma's office" She then grabbed him and ran along the path. She couldn't risk it. As they continued walking, she started to hum and bob her head. "What's your favourite song, Roch?" she said, still bobbing her head.

"To play or to listen to?" he asked her curiously, glancing back at Hellma's office. Apparently that wasn't the place one wanted to go to... or even look at. "To listen to, I like 'Old Friend' but to play... hmm..." He went silent, thoughtfully thinking of all the songs he'd played over the years.
"I dunno," he admitted. "It depends on what mood I'm in. Some of the funnest songs to play aren't necessarily the ones I would listen to on a regular basis. Not unless I'm the one playing it. What about you? Got any requests?" Which was a strange way to put it, wasn't it?

She nodded, even though she didn't know the song. "My favourite song is 'monster love'... I love to play my own songs that I make up. The lyrics aren't great but I like to listen to the sound of the guitar."

"You make up your own songs?" Roch asked, rather impressed. "That's one of the things I really wanna do when I come here," he added. He hadn't actually been taught to read music until he was about seven, so the first two years of his training had been completely by ear. It came in handy, sure, but at the same time he didn't feel quite as confident with putting things on paper as he was with repeating what people had done before, maybe making a few changes here and there, but to create something completely from scratch... it was just a little bit intimidating to him.
"Can you play it for me?" he asked.

"Yeah, I sort of let myself play whatever and then write down the notes later, I don't usually have a good memory but I can remember notes." She thought about her most recent song. It didn't have lyrics but you could play it as a loop and it still felt like you were hearing it for the first time. She kept her guitar playing quiet usually, so people wouldn't know. It wasn't like people would care, but she mostly didn't want Barth to know. There wasn't a reason, but she just didn't want him to know. "I don't have my guitar on me right now..."
Where does he think it is? My pocket? Hehehehe, good one, Claire.

"Oh, right," Roch said, feeling like an idiot. "I keep forgetting that other people haveta, y'know, carry it," he finished lamely. "I don't think you'd be able to play mine," and it was way too intimate of a thing to offer, in his mind.
"We could go get yours?" he offered. "Or I could try playing it if you hum it?" Yeah, that sounded good! "Actually that would work alright. Unless it needs more than just the guitar," he added, already lifting his right hand in a fist.

(( OPERATION: FIND GUITAR PLAYING ON YOUTUBE AT SHORT NOTICE )) " I have a recording on my eyepod!" she said happily as she rummaged in her bag to find it. When she found it, she clicked 'recently added' and the one with the weird name (xrecord_1799366) seemed fitting. She pressed play, putting it on loud speaker. Then she sat down and pretended to play. She thought it was hilarious. She pulled out her hat from her bag and put it on the ground in front of her as though she was busking. I'M SO FUNNY

Roch watched, one eyebrow raised slightly, a tiny grin pulling at his lips. He even clapped as she finished, pulling a silver seed out of his pocket and tossing it into the hat. "I might actually pull this off," he said thoughtfully, not explaining what he was thinking. "But you came up with that on your own? I'm impressed."
His hands were in his pockets, he wasn't summoning his guitar just yet. "So do you keep the hat with you all the time?" he asked.

Claire laughed and tossed the seed back at him. "Keep your money, my amazing talent keeps me alive!" she joked. He said something about pulling off stuff and Claire got slightly confused. It was okay though, she was always confused. "You have to be sun smart!" Claire said seriously, putting the hat back in her bag.

A little smile was pulling at his lips as she said her amazing talent kept her alive. It didn't quite reach his eyes, but he glanced up at the sky to hide that fact. This place... sure was different, wasn't it? "Don't see any sun," he told her teasingly. "In fact, don't think I've EVER seen a sun," he said thoughtfully.
"But since you played for me, I should probably play for you, too, right?" he said, pulling his right hand out of his pocket and making a fist. His guitar started taking form, held in his fist a second later. "Let me think... What's a good Claire song?"

"Yeah, but one could pop up! You never know..." She added with a slight smile. She sat on a conveniently placed bench to listen to Roch play. What was a good Claire song? She'd have to find out.

Really? He figured a Claire song would be bubbly and a little... well... wandering, but she had claimed to have a reputation, right? "To fit with your rep," he said with a teasing grin. "Something I learned kinda recently, so you can make fun of me if I miss a chord, alright?" he went on as he pulled the strap over his neck and started to play. He probably could have picked something harder, but seriously, this was CLAIRE. He couldn't see her as hard in any sense of the word. She was... fluffy and sheltered.
