Azzo had passed the Arcade a few times on patrols he never really had much use for an arcade though. That was, not until he saw the word Cake, and not to mention the word free. He paused blinking at the sign with interest before deciding he might as well take a peak. It wouldn't hurt, and maybe he'd find something worth while.
The boy was walking along the games and weaving in and out of people that weren't in line for that cake before pausing at a particular game that caught his attention. Interest peeked he took a second to look at what it was; obviously a fighter game, but not just any old fighter game. He started to grin when he realized the punching bag was part of the game. Ohh this would be fun he paused, but cake first; then games.
The dark haired boy continued his way up to the line for cake before humming as he stood there waiting for his turn. He was wondering if he knew anyone, glancing around in a curious fashion but no one in particular stood out just yet. Though he thought a few faces had at one point been seen at Meadowview before he graduated from there.

"What can I get for ya" He asked as Nora's turn came up, voice raising a few octaves when he recognized who she in tow. "Hey kid!! You come in for some cake too?"
"What about a party hat, you know you want a party hat?" He grinned at one of his more cheerful employees. It didn't matter that he wasn't on duty really, all the employees had one, and anyway, from the short time they'd known each other he seemed like the kinda person that would enjoy one. Not fight him about it like some of them had done earlier. It had required puppy eyes.. and threats of making a grown man cry on his birthday.
Maybe the reason the line was taking so darn long was because he seemed to feel it necessary to chat with every last person that offered him more than just a sidewise glance.

The soft tone seemed to placate the boy, at least long enough to allow her to get out the money and be ready for when Corey got a chance to help them. Hrmph! He'd get her back. Totally gonna get her back.
"But I want to trade you back something so there. Don't worry about tokens, I got that handled okay! I have this like..supply of them, cause I'm here lots and lots. We'll play some games and it'll be awesome...but first..."
Here he peeked around Nora, waving a hand at Corey before gesturing to the present in his other hand with it.
"Hey Corey what's up? Got something for you, in between all the cake giving out you're doing man!" At the mention of a hat he lit up even more. "FFF, definitely would like a hat! Pleaseeee?"

"For me? You didn't have to do that!" Another present! Oh man!! What had he done to deserve such awesome friends? He eyed the bag eagerly and curiously before dipping below the counter and returning with a party hat. They were the same garishly bright ones that doned the heads of children when they had the occassional kiddie birthday party, but the elastic was strechy. It really was one size fit all as long as you didn't mind looking like an 8 year old.
"So what about you two. Chocolate or vanilla hmmm?"

xxxxxTalia was absolutely baffled by Corey's response. It was just a soda. He had like eighty at this party. Then again, perhaps he wasn't as ... "fortunate" as Talia. She had to remind herself that not everyone had money to spare. She nodded her head as if to confirm the fact. She wasn't trying to belittle or deride Corey, she just wanted to understand. She really couldn't have thought higher of Corey. Living his life so freely, doing what he wanted to do.
xxxxxTalia flashed a smile and said, "It was nothing, really!" One could take that literally, or as an act of kindness... Talia thought. Continuing though she said, "You like Mountain Dew right?" Talia had honestly just picked the first soda on the shelf. She wasn't a huge soda drinker, so she didn't really know what was "in" so to speak.
xxxxxShe gave Corey a reassuring slap on the back and said, "I'm sure they came for more than the cake! Just where did you get all this?" It was no secret that Corey wasn't a connoisseur. He probably just bought it at the local store, but it made for nice conversation.
xxxxxWith his comment about the filled game stations, Talia looked around the room checking for a spot. There were at least three kids lined up to play Mortal Kombat, another two hogging a street fighter game. King of Fighters was open, but honestly Talia didn't like the game because you could win with simple combos. Sighing she turned to Corey and said, "I think I'll be alright over here. Need help passing out cake maybe?"
xxxxxAs she spoke, she brought herself around to the other side of the counter. It wasn't like she hadn't been back there before. She handed a piece of chocolate cake rather reluctantly to a little kid who was inevitably going to play a game five seconds later. Getting the games so disgusting, how could they! Sighing, she said, "Later we'll have to have a rematch though. I'll beat you one of these days!"

Ainsley felt like she had stared forever at the dancing game listening to the music that spewed from it, just wondering what kind of game it was. It was interesting with a brightly lit screen and some sort of pad with arrows below it. Either way, she wasn't getting any answers by standing there and she really wanted to know so the child quickly began to move away from the machine and towards the direction of more people. More people and cake.
Specifically she soon found herself in front of Talia, her blue eyes staring up at her intently. A woman handing out cake was a friend indeed, or at least someone she could find game details from. Her hands pressed against the table, she leaned up to start a conversation with her. "Excuse me," she said politely. "What is that game over there?" She pointed back towards the dancing game with her finger, hoping the woman understood what she was referring to.

Arcades weren’t’ something that Arian usually went to – heck it had been a few years since he’d last stepped foot in one. To be honest Arcade games weren’t really his forte, he sucked at zombie shoot-em-ups (well any shooter type games really), scored right down the bottom for racing games and as for DDR? He was not going there ever! Though not an arcade game, Arian liked Air Hockey – not enough to play often or anything, but the last arcade he’d been to had had a table. Classic games were ok too – Arian was kind of fond of Pac Man and Space Invaders was all right, although not something he’d call his favourite.
None of that was behind the reason that he found himself that afternoon stepping through the doors of a brightly lit up place proclaiming itself to be some place called ‘Electric Dreams’ however, after all it was only when he saw the sign promising ‘Free Cake’ that he found his feet tugging him towards the door, eyes noting the brightly coloured Happy Birthday sign was this Corey the owner as he pushed open the door.
Once inside he made a bee line toward the back corner, where a guy was cutting slices from a sheet cake and stood in line for a slice – free cake was free cake. Having not met Corey before – this being his first time at this arcade – he did not know that the man handing out the cake was in fact the arcade owner and birthday man in question.

"Mountain Dew is the nectar of gods Talia. Nectar.. Of... GODS" He insisted dramatically. "Especially the ones that come in strange colors and flavors"
He had employees that could help.. but free help that was willing to chat with him too, he wasn't about to pass up the offer. He cut and plated, she handed out plates. "I ordered three from the bakery down the street. Hopefully we don't run out."
As Arian approached, Corey smile welcomingly to the stranger among a sea of strangers. "Welcome to Electric Dreams. Just cake today or can I get you something else?"

When her second game went awry, Castille decided that maybe video games just weren't her thing. Why play a super hero in a game when she was one in real life?
Instead, she fixed her eyes on the sheet cake across the room, and the birthday boy slicing and serving it. CAKE.
Castille quickly joined the line before it grew to ridiculous proportions, and (im)patiently waited until all of the others had been given cake before shyly wandering up to Corey.
"May I also have a piece of cake?"

Azzo watched the line obviously it was stupid long for a line at least, but it seems to be shorting in a somewhat decent fashion. He didn't seem to see many games he was interested in as he looked around to what he could see while waiting. Maybe he could talk Aurora and a few friends into a game of Lazer tag at some point....
When it was his turn in line for cake he pulled out some cash for a drink to, "Mine if I get a Dr. Pepper and is that chocolate cake?" He asked curiously before looking to the man cutting the cake it sorta looked obvious it was his birthday. So to Corey he gave a, "Happy birthday." With a nod of his head.

He didn't know Castille that great, not like she seemingly knew him, but he had seen her around from time to time. Oblivious to the fact that the reason she might have been hanging around WAS him. As she neared in the line, he offered the slightly familiar face a smile, and slide a plate her way with a wink after her request. "Sure thing sweetheart. Here you go"
The tall and dark haired Azzo received a swift nod, as Corey shifted through pieces of vanilla until he found a chocolate one and offered it his way. A soda was fished out of the cooler that had been stocked with extra today, and when he returned he grinned appreciatively. "Thanks. That'll be 55 cents. Unless you were wanting a cup from the fountain instead of a bottle? Then that'll be $1 instead." He was trying to push bottles today in hopes of keeping as much food and soda off the floors and games as possible. It was certain to be a mess by the end of the day so one had to be proactive.

Azzo smiled and fished out 55 cents, "A bottle's fine." He said with a nod as he took the cake and drink, "Seriously though, you don't normally find bottled drinks that cheap anymore."
Azzo didn't really mind bottles, they were easier to keep a hold of, just like now he slid it into one of the side pockets of his pants. "Plus you have to carry a cup in your hands." He gave a grin to Corey before moving off towards one side. He had cake, so that awesome, he found a place to eat his cake which wasn't too hard to do considering most people were playing the games. His honey brown eyes were watching as everyone else was having fun. He was scanning the arcade and seeing what different games there were. He noticed one looked similar to that duck hunt video game.

Arian had queued patiently for a slice of cake, noting that the queue had seemed relatively long (maybe he wasn’t the only one lured by free cake), when it was finally his turn to reach the head of the queue where Corey was cutting the cake, he gave the older man a friendly smile at the other’s welcome. “Thank you, I’d love a slice of cake.” He paused briefly to think over the question, before adding “Could I buy a drink too please?” He vaguely remembered seeing the notice in the window saying something along the lines of half-priced drinks, although he hadn’t really read beyond the free cake part. “Is it your birthday?”

She saw the wink and smiled. Her face took on a brighter shade of pink with the addition of him calling her "sweetheart"
Castille took a sudden great interest in what her cake looked like and mumbled a quick "Thank you." before turning to walk away. Then she realized she hadn't even begun to think about why the cake was here in the first place. How rude to take someone's birthday cake without saying anything and then running off like some little kid?!
She turned around, her cheeks back to their pale, freckled selves. "Happy Birthday!" She said brightly, feeling a slight bit nervous.

Azzo had walked around the arcade while eating his cake looking at the games. A few seemed at the very least interesting, so he decided after he finished his cake and found a trash bin he'd check out on or two of the games. It couldn't hurt right?
After he deposited his trash and took a swig of his soda he noticed a game that was free. He walked over to it inspecting what it was, contemplating the fact it was a shooter game. Hm, he placed in a few coins before taking up the gun. It took him a minute to figure out how to work the game but it seemed pretty simple after that.
The game was one of those monster hunt games he pointed the gun and started shooting at most anything that moved. That wasn't human of course occasionally missing but for the most part having pretty decent luck. "Come back here..." He muttered as one of the monsters tried to run from his shooting, he kept missing it causing it to run back and forth on the screen.
