A red mark was already appearing on her neck where the chain had snapped and eyes narrowed for a moment before they returned to normal. It looked like she was considering getting angry but had decided against it. Being honest with herself was something rare for the bluenette and she was forced to admit that she'd started the stealing.
Well he hadn't stolen the necklace that mattered most. Maybe one day they could have a ceasefire and trade hostages. Still the more cryptic remarks Zinkenite made, the more she wanted to shake him until his teeth rattled and he spat out what he meant.
She would regret it if she did.
"There isn't really a whole lot to laugh at these days is there?" The key was tucked down her top; the one place she was fairly positive he wouldn't reach to try and take it back. "In fact I think there's not a whole lot left to say, is there Zink?"

He was silent for a long moment ad then quietly tucked the scrap of chain into some inner pocket of his coat. "... It seems no matter what I say... it's eminently forgettable." That bitter edge again but oddly... or maybe in her shoes... hopefully, there was an edge of self loathing.
He shook his head and glanced briefly to where the key had vanished and then distinctly away. "No... nothing more to say, Not now..." He shook his head. "Maybe one day... if you put together the pieces..." He gave her a sweeping bow, half mocking, half... something else, some residual respect and trust. "Some ties are never cut... are they..." He said softly, and vanished, because she was right, there was nothing left to say.
