Stormfall watched as her mother inspected the baskets. The colors on the baskets varied to a degree. One was almost a silvery-blue color. The second a mixture of blue and maroon and the final basket was one that looked a little like her. Rising to her feet she carefully nosed at the baskets before glancing to her mother again. She took in the expression on Cataclysm's face and heard the praise in her voice.
Stormfall quickly nuzzled her mom before sighing.
"Now we just have to wait to see what fate delivers."

Cataclysm ruffled her wing feathers a bit. "Do you have reason to be concerned?" she asked seriously, looking at her daughter. "You said the father had wings, yes? Like a bug?" She scrunched her nose just a bit - there were a few flutters among the ranks of the Thunderbird herd, though they weren't as highly regarded by Balrog as the their feathered brethren, as far as he cared they could fly and therefore superior.
"I'm sure things will be okay. I will see to it that they are," she said with a definitive nod.

Stormfall shook her head. Dichali had wings but she had never really seen him fly with them. And there was always the off chance that genes would deny her children that which they needed to thrive in the world. Stormfall narrowed her gaze just a little as if seeing something on the horizon before speaking.
"Dichali was a flutter. His wings weren't the usual variant though. They differed. I think that is what drew me to him. It was the fact that he stood out."
Stormfall listened to her mother before once more lying down. "I'm sure things will be alright as well."
